Now even classical music is racist: A scandal involving an obscure music journal confirms that the crusade against whiteness is out of control.

In a world where, sooner or later, everything is racialised, it was only a matter of time before classical music became a target of the crusade against whiteness. So I wasn’t particularly shocked when I read this headline in the New York Times: ‘Obscure Musicology Journal Sparks Battles over Race and Free Speech.’

Cancelling cancel culture: UK Students and academics will be able to SUE universities for censoring free speech

Students and academics will be able to sue their universities for suffocating their free speech on campus under new Government plans to tackle the ‘very real and alarming threat of censorship’.

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has unveiled plans for a ‘free speech champion’ who will have the power to defend academics amid rising fears institutions are trying to cancel people due to their views.

It comes after a December report claimed more than a third of universities are imposing ‘severe’ restrictions on freedom of speech.

Charges dismissed against Amy Cooper, white woman who called 911 on Black birdwatcher

Charges were dismissed Tuesday against Amy Cooper, the white woman who called police on a Black birdwatcher in Central Park last May, after she completed a psycho-education and therapy program focused on racial equity, prosecutors said.

Cooper was facing a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident to police after prosecutors said she twice called 911 falsely claiming that Christian Cooper was threatening and tried to attack her.

Interesting tweet from her lawyer.

RCMP’s new ‘cultural humility’ course, doesn’t humiliate enough experts say

I like this painting as I’m certain it offends all the usual suspects.

‘Glaring gap’ in addressing anti-Indigenous and anti-Black racism in RCMP’s new ‘cultural humility’ course, experts say

A mandatory online training course called “Cultural Awareness and Humility” that was rolled out last fall for all RCMP members and touted by the commissioner as an example of the force’s efforts to modernize misses the mark on many levels, according to experts who have reviewed the program for the Star.

One glaring gap, they say, is the lack of content addressing institutionalized racism, particularly anti-Indigenous and anti-Black racism. Instead, the training emphasizes only implicit biases and reforming individual attitudes and behaviours.

Some noted that a section on the RCMP’s role in colonization was given short shrift — just three paragraphs.

William Shakespeare ditched by woke teachers over ‘misogyny, racism’

…A slew of English literature teachers told the School Library Journal (SLJ) how they were ditching the likes of “Hamlet,” “Macbeth” and “Romeo and Juliet” to instead “make room for modern, diverse, and inclusive voices.”

“Shakespeare was a tool used to ‘civilize’ Black and brown people in England’s empire,” insisted Shakespeare scholar Ayanna Thompson, a professor of English at Arizona State University.

This Is Why You Never EVER Apologize to the Woke Police

This Is Why You Never EVER Apologize to the Woke Police

The canary in the coal mine for “The Bachelor” came a few days ago in a Bachelor fan group on Facebook that I happen to be a part of. So, sue me. I like “The Bachelor.” You all know this if you’ve been reading me long enough. It’s one of the dumbest shows on television but it produces some of the greatest laughs ever. What else do you call twenty-five desperate women chasing after one average dude with a low IQ and great abs, other than great TV?

Disney versus Gina Carano: Spot the dangerous bigots

Actress Gina Carano has been fired by Disney for purportedly controversial remarks she made in social media comparing the treatment of conservatives by progressives to how in its beginning years the Nazis mistreated Jews. No doubt the oppression against Jews during the 1930s was of a much higher degree and based on a pronounced bigotry exclusively against Jews.

Marni Soupcoff: Cancel culture reaches new heights with New York Times, Hollywood firings

The New York Times is an influential newspaper with a worldwide readership and 130 Pulitzer Prizes for excellence in journalism to its name. It is known to have a liberal bias, but it has still generally been recognized for reporting the news, rather than for making it.

This month, however, the Times itself has been the stuff of headlines. Cancel culture is reaching disturbing heights all around, and the Times is at the centre of many of the stories.

Tucker Carlson Says Show Is Being Targeted for Cancelation

Tucker Carlson Says Show Is Being Targeted for Cancelation

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson said on the Thursday night episode of his program that his show has been targeted for cancellation.

Carlson said that “in the last several weeks, and particularly in the last 24 hours, the call to take this show off the air by groups funded—for real—by the Ford Foundation, or by George Soros, by Michael Bloomberg, by Jeff Bezos, has become deafening, going after our advertisers, going after the companies that carry our signal into your home.”

What’s more, he added, there has been a “cowardice and complicity” on behalf of the “entire media class in all of this,” suggesting that eventually, reporters at legacy news outlets will be targeted as well.
