‘Sometimes a goblin is just a goblin’

Jewish organisations have defended JK Rowling after a US comedian claimed that the depiction of goblins in her Harry Potter books was anti-Semitic.

Jon Stewart slammed the author over the goblins that run Gringotts bank in her Harry Potter series on his podcast, The Problem with Jon Stewart.

Stewart, who is Jewish, questioned why Rowling chose to ‘throw Jews in there to run the f***ing underground bank’ in a fictional world where people ‘can ride dragons and have pet owls’.

Stewart is an ass.

Rachel Zegler, Non-Puerto Rican Polish-Colombian ‘Star’ of Woke Box Office Bomb ‘West Side Story‘ on Subtitle Controversy: ‘It‘s 2021, Learn Spanish‘

Pretends she’s Puerto Rican not Polish.

West Side Story star Rachel Zegler admonished Americans for not speaking Spanish in response to the controversy over the Steven Spielberg-directed film’s lack of subtitles.

Speaking with reporters on the red carpet of the film’s premiere, Zegler, who plays the titular character Maria, said Spielberg’s decision to eliminate subtitles from the Spanish-speaking scenes was an act of “respect” and an acknowledgment of the fact that English is not the “official language” of the United States.

She’s Polish-Colombian not Puerto-Rican, isn’t that cultural appropriation?

How #MeToo! Her co-star may be a sex fiend but they’re hushing it up.

Alec Baldwin was practicing pointing revolver at camera during fatal prop gun mishap

Blame to be shouldered by lesser humans.

Two new witness accounts made public by the Sante Fe Sheriff’s Office on Sunday night describe the harrowing moment the 42-year-old director of photography was shot inside the church building on the New Mexico set of the film “Rust.”

Baldwin was rehearsing the gun-retrieval method from a pew of the mock church at Bonanza Creek Ranch when he aimed at the camera, while both Hutchins and 48-year-old director, Joel Souza stood behind it.

… He added the crew that had walked off, who were reportedly replaced with non-union workers and threatened with “security” if they didn’t immediately leave, had previously penned a “letter to production on disagreements.”

The Alec Baldwin shooting: everything was done wrong

The big news this week about Alec Baldwin is that he shot two people on the set of his movie, Rust. Director Joel Souza was wounded but will make a full recovery. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was less lucky. She died, leaving her husband Matthew Hutchins and their young son. She was only 42 years old.

It now seems clear there were violations of safety protocols. Mostly, decades of gunplay in films have led to very few accidents. One of the most publicized involved Jon-Erik Hexum, who shot himself in the head on the set of his TV show Cover Up.
