I do not attend “Winter Villages” or “Holiday Parties”

WARMINGTON: They call it ‘winter village,’ but it will always be Toronto’s Christmas market

You can take Christmas out of the market, but you can’t change the fact that it’s still a Christmas market.

But they are sure going to try.

Just when you thought the politically correct, woke, cancel-culture world was starting to be pushed back upon comes word Toronto’s most famous Christmas market is actually more of a seasonal market.

They call it the Distillery Winter Village.

Apparently Comfort Sakoma-Fadugba’s Christian point of view was a bit too inclusive

When Canadian progressives talk about “inclusion,” you can be sure that Christians are about to be excluded.

When the Canadian Armed Forces issued a directive instructing chaplains that they must be “inclusive” at Remembrance Day ceremonies, for example, they meant that Christian prayers and traditional symbolism were to be excluded, especially because — as a 2022 report from the DND noted — Christianity is “a source of suffering and intergenerational trauma” for many Canadians, with this being “especially true for many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and two-spirited members of Canadian society.”

Vancouver Police Board vice-chair resigns following sensible social media comments on Immigration, Trans lunacy & the beneficial role of Christianity in Canada

The Vancouver Police Board says its vice-chair has resigned following statements she posted to social media that were inconsistent with its code of conduct.

OMG! Behold The Horror!

Of the screenshots shared to Reddit, one post discusses how “mass immigration” and “a growing aversion to assimilation” are “transforming Canada into a place where a shared identity is disappearing.”

Another post questions Diwali celebrations at schools, saying the “push for secular education isn’t about religion — it’s about erasing Christian values from the lives of our children.”

Nashville Reporter Only Sees Racism In Moving To A Christianity-Friendly Small Town

On Nov. 18, Nashville News Channel 5 reporter Phil Williams delivered a breathless “exclusive investigation” into the supposed right-wing radicals targeting rural Jackson County, Tennessee, for a takeover. He claimed, “their views are not so different from the ideas espoused by the neo-Nazis and other white supremacists seen marching down Nashville streets in the past year.”

Hostility Toward Christians Skyrockets Across Europe

Report fingers radical Islam and radical leftism as motivations for attacks on Christians.

While Christians in America are celebrating an end to the hostile Biden-Harris regime, Christians in Europe witnessed increased persecution and hatred last year, according to a new report. The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) published its annual report on Friday, examining instances of “intolerance and discrimination against Christians” over the course of 2023. Unfortunately, the report found that religiously-motivated hate crimes against Christians more than doubled last year.

Tears, anger as Toronto City Council debates honouring Christianity

December will be Christian Heritage Month in Toronto – but only after a surprisingly emotional half-hour at City Council.

After Gord Perks unspooled a rant about Canada and its history with the Christian faith, a tearful Lily Cheng, who represents the Willowdale ward, rose to tell council: “Christianity saved my life.”

Pete Hegseth hits back at accusations his tattoos are white supremacist symbols: ‘Anti-Christian bigotry’

Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense has spoken out against claims that his tattoos are symbols of white supremacy, calling the criticism “anti-Christian bigotry.”

Pete Hegseth, a longtime Fox News host and war veteran, sports a large Jerusalem Cross on his chest and the Latin inscription Deus Vult, which translates to “God wills it.”

Christians praying for Trump just like witches says Star: ‘These witches are trying to use their power to defeat Donald Trump’

Each month, under the glow of a waning crescent moon, thousands of American voters — who also happen to be self-identified witches — gather online and in person with one goal: preventing Donald Trump from winning the presidential election.

Armed with orange candles, tarot cards, and a not-so-flattering photo of the former president, they cast a spell to block his return to the White House. The final words of their synchronized ritual — “You’re fired!” — echo as Trump’s image burns to the ground.

Meanwhile, a very different group has been gathering in packed convention centers and under tents in states across the country. They are devout Christians on a religious-political campaign dubbed the “Courage Tour,” and they are part of a growing movement that embraces supernatural gifts like prophecy and divine healing.

Of course the Star equates Witches with Christianity but why won’t they honour Islam with the same courtesy.

Conrad Black: The Olympics’ disgraceful assault on Christianity

France Shittiest Olympics Ever

While I cannot claim to have conducted an exhaustive survey, my impression is that the Canadian media barely considered to be worthy of comment the element in the opening of the Paris Olympics last week in which the Last Supper of Jesus Christ prior to his arrest, unjust condemnation, tortured passage up the Via Dolorosa and crucifixion was contemptuously mocked in drag queen burlesque. There were the usual reflections of the contemporary media that it was an amusing and innocuous spoof but that it had attracted some criticism from Christian groups. It was implicit that objectors must be priggish and almost cultish antiquarians to take offence at such a spectacle. This is one of the clearest demonstrations in recent years of how our media and official authorities who react like wounded animals if there is the most trivial slight of any sectarian or ethnic minority, but anyone who objects to the mocking of one of the most famous moments in the history of the world and a central event in the premier religion of the world, the aggrieved party should be severely rebuked as hypersensitive, superstitious, and pompous.

Olympics Bans Christian Symbols Despite Its Own ‘Last Supper’ Parody

Olympic athletes are facing a ban on Christian symbols at the Olympics despite the opening ceremony featuring an obvious parody of a Christian symbol, Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper.

On Wednesday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) forced the Brazilian surfer João Chianca to remove an image of Christ the Redeemer from his surfboard.

“The painting is not authorized in the Olympic Games because Christ is a religious figure,” the athlete posted on social media, though the post was removed shortly afterward. “The Games have strict rules and focus on total neutrality.”

In groundbreaking move, Poilievre campaigns among evangelical Christians

Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre went to church last Sunday, not once, not twice, but three times — to three evangelical churches in the Toronto area where he briefly participated in the services, made a short political speech and moved on.

The three churches are all in ridings held by Liberal MPs and the congregants are mostly members of ethnic minority communities, which makes these visits smart politics for a campaigning Conservative leader.

White Christian Nationalism: Threat or mirage?

In the eyes of liberals, there is only one thing worse than Christian nationalism. It is White Christian nationalism. The addition of the adjective “White” supercharges the expression with vitriol and power, turning its followers (especially if they are male) into something everyone should love to hate.

Judging from the liberal media uproar, the dangers of White Christian Nationalism (WCN) are immense. It is systemic, found everywhere inside the culture and governing structures of American society. Should something like this triumph, it will be the end of American democracy.

PBS Blames Churches Following The Bible For ‘Politicization Of Religion’

Correspondent Sarah McCammon joined her NPR colleague Michel Martin on Thursday’s Amanpour and Company on PBS to discuss her book, The Exvangelicals: Loving, Living, and Leaving the White Evangelical Church because public broadcasting networks stick together. Naturally, Evangelicals’ relationship with Donald Trump and the “politicization of religion” was a big part of the conversation, but McCammon made it clear that her definition of politicization was that Christians do not bend their beliefs to appease the LGBTQ crowd.
