Infrastructure Bill Contains Pilot MBUF (Mileage Tax)-Goal Is Make It Too Expensive To Drive

On Sunday, the Senate released the final text of the so-called bipartisan (but really liberal) infrastructure bill — all 2,702 pages. According to Breitbart, the huge bill was written in secret for months outside the normal legislative process. Buried in the measure is a pilot program for a national motor vehicle per-mile user fee (MBUF) which is basically a long-term plan to make it too expensive to drive a car.

Recording captures Green leader venting frustration with party executives: ‘I really am struggling to understand why this is happening’

OTTAWA—Green Leader Annamie Paul vented frustration with how top party officials were preventing her from making key decisions in the first months of her leadership, according to an audio recording of an internal meeting that was obtained by the Star.

It also comes after the party brought in a conflict resolution expert amid ongoing tensions over allegations of racism and calls for high-ranking party officials to resign.

France Is Making Ecocide Illegal, But What Does That Mean?

Damaging the environment is set to become illegal in France, punishable by fines of up to €4.5 million and up to 10 years in prison.

A citizens’ assembly included criminalising ‘ecocide’ in its recommendations for the government earlier this year. A group of 150 randomly selected French citizens voted on proposals for combatting the climate crisis and among the proposals was a suggestion to make ‘ecocide’ (extensive damage to ecosystems) an offence punishable by law.
