The American Federation of Teachers is buying 1.7 million Newsguard licenses for teachers nationwide. They will then share them with millions of students. Since students turn to the internet in increasing numbers annually, they will be highly susceptible to stinted propaganda coming from a source that touts itself as a “fact-checker.” In short, Newsguard is cloaking cleverly concealed inaccuracies and, in some instances, flagrant conflicts of interests as facts. This is eerily reminiscent of the methodology employed by Joseph Goebbels in NAZI Germany.

Five-time Emmy award-winning journalist Sharyl Attkisson said she has seen an increased effort to manipulate the public to appreciate censorship and disapprove of journalism. One of the strategies that has been employed is the use of third-party fact-checkers, she said.
“Nearly every mode of information has been co-opted, if it can be co-opted by some group, [and] fact-checkers are no different,” Attkisson told EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders.”
“Either they’ve been co-opted, in many instances, or created for the purpose of distributing narratives and propaganda,” said Attkisson. “This is all part of a very well-funded, well-organized landscape that dictates and slants the information they want us to have.”

China is responsible for every American Covid death. But it’s you’re going to try to parse out blame to a particular president, at least get the simple math right. On Christmas Eve, CNN Newsroom fill-in host Boris Sanchez had some trouble doing that as he definitively claimed it was “fake news” to accurately say that more Americans have been killed by Covid under President Biden than former President Trump.

Most also think social media companies, and the people who use them, bear a good deal of blame for the situation. But few are very concerned that they themselves might be responsible, according to a new poll from the Pearson Institute and the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

It’s not easy to say why the establishment media has constantly misled the American public about the threat of COVID-19, yet they continue to do so. The rabid fear mongering of 2020 has not let up, as many conservatives assumed it would if former President Donald Trump were not re-elected. Whatever their reasons, left-leaning reporters and pundits continue to terrorize America with COVID horror stories that are sometimes entirely fabricated. Rolling Stone recently published a piece of pure fiction about an Oklahoma hospital overrun by victims of Ivermectin poisoning when, in fact, the establishment had not treated a single such case.

A Canadian priest has been banned by the Manitoba archdiocese from “publicly teaching” after making outrageous claims during sermons, saying that the well-documented abuse of children at residential schools is “fake news” and survivors are only saying they were abused to get money.

GOOGLE has begun warning users that its search results may be unreliable.
The feature is aimed at breaking news stories, when information is often rapidly changing and sometimes inaccurate.

The FCC prohibits broadcasting false information about a crime or a catastrophe if the broadcaster knows the information is false and will cause substantial “public harm” if aired.

The survey published Tuesday shows that the COVID-19 pandemic has come with what they are calling an ‘infodemic’, an overabundance of information, some true and some false.
“So that makes it very difficult for people to find facts and reliable sources,” Nicole Minnema, Analysis Project Manager with Statistics Canada, told CityNews.
“The untrue part of that is what we classify as misinformation which is false or inaccurate information which sometimes is intended to deliberately deceive.”

The lead prosecutor overseeing the investigation into the Capitol riot backed away Friday from a suggestion in a court filing that participants in the takeover of Congress last week were seeking to take officials prisoner and potentially even execute them.
Images of intruders with zip-tie handcuffs and video of protesters chanting “Hang Mike Pence” have led many lawmakers and other observers to conclude that some in the crowd were intent on capturing — and possibly killing — prisoners.
However, acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin told reporters Friday that prosecutors don’t have concrete proof of such an effort.

Artist Scott Adams fired a shot at the “fake news” propagandists who have been pushing the narrative that what happened at the U.S. Capitol was an attempted coup.

“High-level editors at The New York Post instructed staff members this week not to use reporting from CNN, MSNBC, The Times and The Washington Post as the sole basis for any Post article, the three journalists said, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation,” wrote media reporter Katie Robertson.

Trump Supporters Are Storming the Capitol, Electoral Vote Counting Postponed

The Washington Post reported on Saturday about the small group of lawmakers, which it compiled by surveying every GOP office. The vast majority, 222 of the 249 Republicans in the House and Senate, did not respond or were unclear about their thoughts on the election when contacted.
