Priti Patel has ordered an inquiry into a prominent Muslim cleric paid by the Government to combat extremism after he told an angry crowd that Israel is a ‘terrorist state’.
The Home Secretary was responding to a Mail investigation into Imam Irfan Chishti MBE, who has played a leading role in the country’s Prevent programme designed to combat radicalisation since 2013.
His company, Me and You Education, gives training to the police, the NHS and in schools on how to spot extremists and neutralise radicalisation. On its website, Mr Chishti says that his goal is to heal divisions between communities.
Nazi hyperbole has infected our political talk for so long that it takes something special to make another instance of it noteworthy. Leave it to the Palestinian Authority (PA) mouthpieces to come up with a truly gasp-worthy Nazi accusation.
Every time a shooting war between Israel and Hamas breaks out — the latest is the fourth one since 2007 when Hamas took over Gaza — Jew haters whine they can’t criticize Israel without being accused of anti-Semitism.
“We should remember that Greece spent 400 years under Turkish Islamic rule and that the fight for freedom was bloody. With that in mind it is even more dramatic seeing these images of fighting age migrants desecrating Greek holy places and having no respect for the country they are allegedly seeking refuge in.” — Greek City Times, April 12, 2021.
Police in Los Angeles have arrested one of the pro-Palestinian activists that attacked a group of diners, while allegedly using anti-Semitic slurs. The man has been charged with assault and could face hate crime charges.
The man, who the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) described as “one of the primary suspects in the assault and beating of several men” outside a restaurant in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles on Tuesday, was taken into custody on Saturday thanks to tips provided by the public, the LAPD said.
Anti-Semites attacked Sushi Fumi on La Cienega tonight, driving by and allegedly yelling "F the Jews!", waving Palestinian flags, throwing bottles, attacking a Jewish customer…and some of the customers fought back. pic.twitter.com/Jmc3qrIaOX
Iran’s foreign ministry has denounced as “shameful” an Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruling that found Iran intentionally shot down Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 in an act of terrorism.
The judge issued the judgment Thursday against Iran in a civil lawsuit filed by four families who lost loved ones in the destruction of the plane shortly after takeoff in Tehran on Jan. 8, 2020.
In a statement issued today, ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh said the court’s decision lacked legitimate evidence.
An educator with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is under investigation after he allegedly sent a virulently anti-Israel manual out to teachers that suggests a documentary and a book about a terrorist, recommends children’s books that characterize Israelis as thieves and murderers, and gives advice on how to teach students about the hateful Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.
Anyone who has read this blog over the years knows that the TDSB is a cesspit. It’s not a bug it’s a feature.
In other news local Muslims and their supporters held a parade in TO yesterday. Same old same old.
Diversity is our strength.
“Protesters” have waved signage equating Israel with Nazism, waved Hamas and Hezbollah flags since forever in Toronto.
Nothing has been or ever will be done about it.
You would think folks would have gotten used to it by now. It will only get worse.
This is the bitter harvest of “diversity and multiculturalism,” sown from the seeds planted by a monstrously stupid immigration policy.
Thank our political class for the enrichment and ignore their expressions of shock denouncing the anti-semitism on display, they’re lying, because when they see Islam they see votes. They will ignore the fact that hatred of Jews and Israel is bred in the bone of Islam.
Meanwhile across the pond.
Pro-Palestine protesters in London wave hate-filled signs calling Israel ‘the new Nazi state’, claiming ‘Netanyahu surpasses Hitler in barbarism’ and saying ‘stop doing what Hitler did to you’
MPs and campaigners have condemned pro-Palestine protesters for waving signs referring to Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust during protests against Israeli actions in the Middle East.
One man standing in Trafalgar Square yesterday held a Palestinian flag with a placard reading, ‘Stop doing what Hitler did to you’, while a poster held by a woman read, ‘Israel, the new Nazi state’.
Another sign in London referred to ‘Holocaust Part 2’ and another – referring to Israel’s Prime Minister – read ‘Netanyahu surpasses Hitler in barbarism’.
Good news, everyone is ritualistically condemning antisemitism.
And just like the condemnations of ‘Anti-Asian Hate’, it’s a hollow exercise because the condemnations refuse to actually name the perpetrators.
“The kind of anti-Semitic attacks, like those reported over the last week, are disturbing and wrong. Intolerance like this has no place in New York or anywhere else, and it must be confronted and overcome,” Senator Schumer belatedly tweeted.
A prominent Islamic cleric who voiced support for Israel has been forced out of his home after a terrifying late-night attack by masked militants.
Nahiem Ajmal, a leading moderate with a huge following on YouTube, was asleep at home in Birmingham with his wife and two young daughters when thugs smashed windows and his front door before storming inside.
They were angered by comments made by the 41-year-old cleric – known to his followers as Mufti Abu Layth – last August in an hour-long lecture where he argued for Palestine to be handed over to Israel to settle the bitter conflict.
Birmingham cleric calls for Islamic holy war on Israel
Radical Birmingham cleric Shaykh Asrar Rashid, who once labelled the Queen a “disgusting woman”, has called on Muslim states to wage holy war and launch air strikes to drive “cowardly” Jews out of Israel.
In a chilling video on Islamic news site 5Pillars, the Birmingham cleric said the “only solution” to the Israel conflict was “jihad” by Muslim-majority countries.
He called for air strikes on Tel Aviv, which, he boasted, would have Israelis with European passports “running back to Europe” as he mocked “the Jews … as a cowardly nation”.
Antisemitic acts committed by Muslims or left-wing activists are under-represented in the records of the German police, Germany’s top antisemitism official has admitted, amid continuing antisemitic demonstrations in German cities sparked by the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“Israel-related antisemitism has penetrated into the middle of society,” Felix Klein — the German federal government’s commissioner tasked with combating antisemitism — said in an interview with German radio on Friday.
“About 40 percent of society agrees with sentences like: ‘With what Israel is doing, I can understand if someone has something against Jews,’” Klein observed. “So an environment has been created that might not have existed in this form seven years ago [during the Israel-Gaza war of 2014].”
But what about all those great restaurants! If you import the adherents of a Bedouin Death Cult then you shouldn’t be at all surprised.
A Jewish family was leaving a synagogue when a group of men drove by and insulted the family until an armed bystander got between them, a local CBS affiliate reported Thursday.
Eric Orgen said he was walking with his wife and daughter when the men yelled and threw garbage at the family, according to CBS12 News.
“They just started screaming some derogatory things towards Jewish people out the window,” Orgen told CBS12 News. The men said, “free Palestine, die Jew, F you Jew, I’m gonna rape your wife,” according to Orgen.
The US government has told Islamic State-affiliated fighters in Nigeria they are not eligible for a reward after reports that the leader of Boko Haram had died during clashes in a forest in the north-east.
The US state department had offered $7m (£4.9m) for information about the identity or location of Abubakar Shekau as part of its global counter-terrorism rewards programme aimed at tracking down leading violent extremists and other fugitives.
It is thought Shekau either killed or badly injured himself on Wednesday by detonating explosives strapped around his waist to escape capture by fighters from Isis’s West Africa Province, known as Iswap, which had stormed his stronghold in the vast Sambisa Forest.
Pro-Palestine and pro-Israel protesters clash in Times Square
Pro-Israel and pro-Palestine protesters could be seen brawling in Times Square Thursday as tensions in the region spilled into the street of Manhattan, videos showed.
Skirmishes between the groups erupted in the Midtown tourist hub as Israel and Hamas hoped a cease-fire in Gaza would end more than 10 days of devastating hostilities.
This just happened in NYC. Palestinians attacking jews on 47th street.
An upsetting afternoon. I was quietly reading the news on my phone about a group of about 20 Palestinian terrorists, young people in their 20s, in a caravan of SUVs flying Palestinian flags. They pulled up in front of a Japanese sushi café a couple of miles from my house, in the lower part of Beverly Hills, a neighborhood largely of older Jewish people. The young “men” wore all black and were masked.
