A human rights law professor who was cleared of Islamophobia has accused Bristol University of putting his life in danger to avoid being seen as anti-Muslim.

Justin Trudeau’s anti-Islamophobia disaster reveals a government dangerously out of touch with voters

MONTREAL—By appointing Amira Elghawaby as his lead representative on the Islamophobia file, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has thrown the equivalent of a political grenade into his Quebec trenches.

The damage to his party and to the cause she is tasked with advancing could be consequential.

Here is an early assessment.

At week’s end, Elghawaby’s appointment had been disavowed by most of the leading figures of Quebec’s political class.

The Trudeau Hijabi’s job is to preach to the converted

The noxious effects of identity politics have been on full display in Canada since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Jan. 26 nomination of Amira Elghawaby as his government’s Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia.

In Quebec, the reaction to Ms. Elghawaby’s appointment has gone far beyond the boilerplate outrage that usually awaits external critics of the province’s efforts to preserve its language, identity and values. This time, the indignation is real and proportional to the offence Mr. Trudeau committed in promoting someone who has perpetuated stereotypes about Quebeckers as hostile toward “others.”

Trudeau’s Hateful Hijabi fears backlash over next week’s comments about Canadians

Canada’s new anti-Islamophobia representative apologizes for comments about Quebecers

OTTAWA – Canada’s new special representative on combating Islamophobia says she is sorry that her words have hurt Quebecers.

Amira Elghawaby apologized in English before a meeting today with Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet.

She says she is “extremely sorry” for the way her words have carried and how they hurt the people of Quebec, and that she will listen carefully and that’s what dialogue is all about.

She’s a liar and she ain’t “Canada’s” anything. Just a cheap bit of vote whoring by Trudeau.

Trudeau’s Islamophobia generator Amira Elghawaby suggested Stephen Harper was ‘more hurtful’ than 9/11

A decade of Stephen Harper as Prime Minister was more “perhaps more hurtful” than 9/11, a federal inclusion advisor suggested in a 2015 newspaper column. Amira Elghawaby, in other commentaries, complained middle-class Canadians never experienced inequity and advocated for Muslim prayer in public schools since “parents of these children pay taxes.”

Quebec government wants Amira Elghawaby to resign as federal representative to propagandize Islamist Supremacy, just days into her new job

The Quebec government is calling on the federal government to withdraw its support of Amira Elghawaby, the new representative to combat Islamophobia, only four days after she was first appointed.

This comes a day after her attendance at the sixth commemoration of the deadly mosque attack in Quebec City, honouring the six men who were killed in 2017 when a gunman opened fire just before 8 p.m. in the Islamic Cultural Centre in the Sainte-Foy neighbourhood.

Since her appointment on Thursday, the journalist and human rights activist has been pressured to clarify her position on Quebec’s secularism law.

You’re on Your Own

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is never more alive than when she believes she’s being persecuted, which, to hear her tell it, is often.

Whether it’s the Israel lobby, the Jews, her fellow Democrats, the Jews, MAGA Republicans, or the Jews, everyone is out to get Rep. Omar. In her estimation, this is a product of everyone else’s pathologies, never her own. Now, the Minnesota congresswoman has found herself in the crosshairs of the new Republican leadership, which has singled out her and two of her Democratic colleagues for punishment in the form of withheld committee assignments.

Barbara Kay: Another Israel super-critic gets funding from the Trudeau Liberals

In 2018, Jasmin Zine, a sociology and Muslim studies professor at Wilfrid Laurier University was awarded a federal grant of $24,900 for a research project resulting in a report titled “The Canadian Islamophobia Industry: Mapping Islamophobia’s Ecosystem in the Great White North.” Its driving theme is the need to expose a matrix of people and groups who “demonize and marginalize Islam and Muslims in Canada.” Zine rightly identifies certain white-supremacy groups that have been called out for their racism many times. But Zine’s principal “watch list” targets individuals (including me) and organizations with views regarding radical Islam and Israel that Zine personally disagrees with.

Are Liberal Jewish groups really that crazy?

The “big red wave” never did materialize, but this much did happen – Republicans did win the House, prompting alarm among Liberals.

What it means, then, is that they don’t control EVERYTHING. The Senate, the White House, the schools, the Arts, entertainment, the media, all that and more belong to them.

But not the House of Representatives – so no wonder it’s got them frantic. To them, life is so unfair if they don’t get EVERYTHING they WANT.

It’s bad enough that far-left extremist groups such as the ADL are anti-white racists but to observers this is Jewicidal Madness.

It’s not the first time supporters of Israel have watched in bewilderment as the Kumbaya Kool-Aid drinkers have drunkenly engaged in Interfaith lunacy.

Raise a voice against the despicable Omar and you’ll be called a racist Islamophobe.

Psst … This may in part explain the silence in the face of growing anti-Semitism you’ve noted. People have grown alienated and confused.

MPs condemn controversial publisher’s attendance at Parliament Hill reception

The Liberal MP who chairs the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship group is among multiple Canadian politicians condemning the presence of a man accused of being a “Holocaust denier” at a Parliament Hill reception held earlier this week to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Salma Zahid, the Liberal MP who chairs the all-party friendship group, condemned the views of Nazih Khatatba, the publisher and editor of a Toronto-based Arabic-language newspaper, who Conservative MP Melissa Lantsman told the House of Commons Thursday was “a dangerous antisemite, Holocaust denier, and terrorist sympathizer.”

Bullshit, this is Laith Marouf 2.0. They’re apologizing because they got caught.

Get used to it multiculturalists, this is the diversity you wished for and you shall have it in ever increasing abundance.

‘Islamophobia industry’ in Canada funded by Trudeau Liberals

$1.5B ‘Islamophobia industry’ foments fear, moral panic in Canada

A recent study revealed that north American networks that influence and fund Islamophobia “has become a transnational sector” as the “industry,” with access to over $1.5 billion in funding, foment Islamophobic fear and moral panic in Canada.

Jasmin Zine, a Canada-based professor of Sociology, Religion and Culture, and the Muslim Studies Option at Wilfrid Laurier University mapped these political, ideological, institutional, and economic networks in a four-year study.

In a 127-page report published recently, Zine and her team concluded that at least 39 U.S.-based organizations coordinate the market. A 2016 study concluded that this network was financed by 1,096 charitable institutions between 2014 and 2016 through donor-advised funds (DAF), giving them access to over $1.5 billion.

Boy I sure wish I could get my hands on some of that cash! But it looks like this broad and Laith Marouf got my share!

Inside the Shameful Cancellation of Jihad Rehab

How an identity-politics-obsessed mob destroyed a young filmmaker’s documentary

At the beginning of director Meg Smaker’s documentary Jihad Rehab, we hear a former Guantanamo detainee saying, “Meg, can I tell you something?” Sure, a woman’s voice says. “In every story there is good and bad,” the man goes on in a gentle Saudi accent. “But . . . it’s a thin line. The American government did bad, bad, bad things against us. But at least I am honest with what I did.”

Why Haven’t Linda Sarsour, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib Even Mentioned Iran’s Hijab Protests?

As of this writing, heartbreakingly brave Iranian women have been protesting for 10 days and nights in the streets of at least 80 cities. They are risking death for the right not to wear hijab. Women have been burning their hijabs (headscarves) and cutting their hair. They’ve been heard chanting “Women, Life and Freedom,” and “Death to the dictator.”

Sundance Liked Her Documentary on Terrorism, Until Muslim Critics Didn’t

The film festival gave Meg Smaker’s “Jihad Rehab” a coveted spot in its 2022 lineup, but apologized after an outcry over her race and her approach.

Meg Smaker felt exhilarated last November. After 16 months filming inside a Saudi rehabilitation center for accused terrorists, she learned that her documentary “Jihad Rehab” was invited to the 2022 Sundance Festival, one of the most prestigious showcases in the world.

Film critics warned that conservatives might bridle at these human portraits, but reviews after the festival’s screening were strong.

“The absence of absolutes is what’s most enriching,” The Guardian stated, adding, “This is a movie for intelligent people looking to have their preconceived notions challenged.” Variety wrote:

The film “feels like a miracle and an interrogative act of defiance.”

But attacks would come from the left, not the right. Arab and Muslim filmmakers and their white supporters accused Ms. Smaker of Islamophobia and American propaganda. Some suggested her race was disqualifying, a white woman who presumed to tell the story of Arab men.

Link fixed.
