Has the University of Texas found a good way to get rid of bad faculty members?

The foolish woke challenge to the University of Texas fight song — “The Eyes of Texas” — is heating up again, with faculty members making threats. They’re factually wrong, and U.T. needs to call their bluff.

When I first got to U.T., I was charmed by “The Eyes of Texas.” First, it was sung to the tune of “I’ve been working on the railroad,” so it had a nice familiarity. It was sung at football games, with its vaguely menacing promise to the other team that “The eyes of Texas are upon you … You cannot get away. Do not think you can escape them … The eyes of Texas are upon you, ’til Gabriel blows his horn.” It was a good fight song.

The warmongers have gone woke

The CIA is now using ‘intersectionality’ to push its imperial designs.

I am intersectional… I am a cisgender millennial, who has been diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder… I refuse to internalise misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be… I want you to be unapologetically you, whoever you are…’

These are not the words of some blue-haired student or tedious Instagram activist. Rather, they come from a recruitment video for the CIA. The Central Intelligence Agency – infamous for ‘enhanced interrogation’, drone warfare and trafficking drugs to pay for foreign coups – has officially gone woke.

Wokening’ Military Justice

The last thing we need is more bureaucracy.

Emboldened by President Biden’s social experimentation on our military, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) may soon succeed in her years-long quest to take away military commanders’ ability to decide whether or not to prosecute sexual assault cases. If she succeeds, it will be because two key Republicans — Texas’s Ted Cruz and Iowa’s Joni Ernst — have inexplicably decided to support her bill.

Biden has already done much to harm the military. He has revoked former President Trump’s ban on transgender people serving in the military despite the fact that “trans” soldiers have a very high rate of psychological problems and suicides.

Disneyland’s renovated ‘Snow White’ ride draws woke ire over added ‘non-consensual’ true love’s kiss finale

“A kiss he gives to her without her consent, while she’s asleep, which cannot possibly be true love if only one person knows it’s happening,” noted a review on news website SFGate, which questioned why the park would add a scene with “such old fashioned ideas of what a man is allowed to do to a woman.”

“Haven’t we already agreed that consent in early Disney movies is a major issue?

‘I’m an intersectional cisgender Millennial woman of color’: CIA goes full woke in widely mocked promo video

A recruitment ad for the Central Intelligence Agency featuring a smorgasbord of woke buzzwords has been ruthlessly mocked on social media, with many accusing the spy agency of using ‘diversity’ to airbrush its shady dealings.

The CIA apparently wants Americans to know that despite its history of toppling democratically elected governments and operating torture ‘black sites’, it is still very much an equal opportunity employer.

Rioters at Trump’s 2017 Inauguration Getting $1.6 Million Settlement From DC Over Their Arrests

Do you remember Trump’s inauguration in 2017? Rioters set fires, harassed and assaulted people, threw bricks, and worse.

None of the rioters were ever really held accountable, and now they’re getting a big cash settlement over their arrests.

Federal authorities are still hunting down Trump supporters over January 6th, and many of the people that have already been arrested are being held in solitary confinement.

But the leftists who rioted at Trump’s inauguration are getting paid.

7 Things We All Can Do To Encourage Diversity in Nature Photography

By now, we understand the need to cultivate diversity in conservation photography and filmmaking. Scientific analyses urge diversity across multiple disciplines. Countless articles criticize and dissect the lack of minorities in photography. Conversations like #blacklivesmatter are rising in volume.

So why do we still have a diversity problem in nature photography? A large part of it is because we don’t quite understand it. We don’t know how to begin. We don’t know how to address things without the situation becoming uncomfortable. We don’t know how to take action.

That’s why for this article, we sat down with Girls Who Click (GWC) partner photographers Inka Cresswell, Karen Kasmauski, and Amy Marquis, and GWC Ambassador Celina Chien, to talk about the issue, their experiences as women of color, and specific actions that we all can take to create a more inclusive environment.

Target Now Releasing ‘Racism Tried To Steal My Joy’ Shirts, In Toddler Sizes

Target started selling children’s T-shirts in jars that read “To my black people, I love you,” and “Racism tried to steal my joy. Ha! Tried.”

If any of us see a child wearing shirts with propaganda on them — we should call Child Protective Services, expeditiously. Thanks to NY Post’s Karol Markowicz, we got proof of Target’s bow to pandering.

Canadian throuples and the future of parenting – A legal decision about polyamory is a bad omen for family life

Progressive campaigning, by definition, seeks to bring into being a desired world that — we’re told — would be an improvement over the existing cruel and ugly one. Recently, such campaigning has taken a radical new turn: the pursuit of legal reforms designed to enable everyone to bring into being the particular version of the world they wish to inhabit — often regardless of the degree to which that conflicts with others’ versions of reality.

Woke Up Call: Academic who backed ‘decolonising’ curriculum dropped from museum board

The chair of an influential museum group has resigned after an academic whose work calls for “decolonising” the curriculum was dropped from the board, amid reports of a government-sanctioned culture war.

… In a sign that ministers believe that a battle against “woke” culture plays well with voters, there have been a number of recent attempts to ratchet up a culture war. Following the Black Lives Matter protests last summer, Dowden threatened to cut funding to museums and galleries that removed statues associated with British colonialism.

In a warning to institutions last October, Dowden wrote: “As publicly funded bodies, you should not be taking actions motivated by activism or politics. The significant support that you receive from the taxpayer is an acknowledgment of the important cultural role you play for the entire country.”

Good for Great Britain.

Police arrest elderly Christian preacher after ‘he refused to stop reading from Genesis 1 that God made ‘only two genders’ and families should be ‘headed by a father and mother’

…A statement posted to a Christian Facebook his supporters read: ‘Whilst he was preaching, he expounded the final verses of Genesis 1, declaring that God’s purpose in creating mankind was to set human beings in families, headed by a father and a mother, not by two fathers, or by two mothers.

‘The distinction within mankind of just two genders, male and female, made in the image of God, constitutes the essence of God’s created order.’

Nickelodeon airs segment that discusses “environmental racism”

“What do these cities have in common?” said the host of the segment, CBS News correspondent Jamie Yuccas. “They’re all examples of environmental racism, a form of systemic racism where minority and low-income communities are surrounded by health hazards because they live near sewage, mines, landfills, power stations, [and] major roads.”
