Further, the Kremlin has come in for criticism after blaming Foreign Secretary Liz Truss for Vladimir Putin’s decision to order Russia’s nuclear deterrent to be on high alert.

One of the bolder economic moves against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine was taken by the European Union and Canada when they banned all Russian aircraft from landing in their countries or even flying through their airspace. That decision was put to the test yesterday when an Aeroflot commercial jet flew through Canadian airspace on the way from Miami to Moscow. It was a brief incursion, but it still violated the new rules. Transport Canada and the Nav Canada air traffic control service are currently “reviewing” the incident, but it’s unclear what can be done about it or what will happen if they do it again today.

From an on-air discussion today. So what if the “Ghost of Kyiv” isn’t (?) real, or that one photo of Zelensky in a helmet is from a year ago — surely we all know the difference between war propaganda designed to bolster the resolve of a smaller, less-equipped people under attack and the sort of propaganda CNN peddles, right?
I have realized that supporting the people of Ukraine and supporting the corrupt money machine that Soros, Schwab, Clinton, Biden, Obama, etc support is not the same thing.

A private militia known as the Wagner Group allegedly has orders from Vladimir Putin to take out Zelensky – and 23 other government figures – to allow Moscow to take over its eastern European neighbour.

“I pray for Ukraine and I wish them the best,” she explained. “They have a great president right now, who really said clearly, live free or die. He said, ‘I don’t need a ride, give me ammunition. The fight is right here.'”
“But we also have neighbors to the north who need freedom and who need to be liberated and we need that right here at home,” she added.

Canadian businesses are at risk of being targeted for online attacks if Russia chooses to retaliate against government sanctions, a cybersecurity expert said Friday.

Waving sanctions in front of Russian leader Vladimir Putin will not be enough to stop the invasion of Ukraine, according to former President Donald Trump, who said he fears that war in Ukraine could be a prelude to a wider conflict.

Maxar satellite imagery showed a 3.25-mile long convoy of Russian ground forces 40 miles northeast of Kyiv moving toward the capital city on Sunday.
Why it matters: According to Maxar, the convoy contains hundreds of armored vehicles including tanks and self-propelled artillery, fuel and logistics. U.S. and Ukrainian officials believe Russia’s primary military objective is to encircle Kyiv and topple the government.

The Russian military has likely recognized that its initial expectations that limited Russian attacks would cause the collapse of Ukrainian resistance have failed and is recalibrating accordingly. The Russian military is moving additional combat resources toward Ukraine and establishing more reliable and effective logistics arrangements to support what is likely a larger, harder, and more protracted conflict than it had originally prepared for. The tide of the war could change rapidly in Russia’s favor if the Russian military has correctly identified its failings and addresses them promptly, given the overwhelming advantage in net combat power Moscow enjoys. Ukrainian morale and combat effectiveness remain extremely high, however, and Russian forces confront the challenge of likely intense urban warfare in the coming days.

Yesterday the New York Times reported on U.S. intelligence and diplomatic officials from the State Dept sharing intelligence with Chinese officials in the three months leading up to the Russian invasion. The narrative from the article tells the story of the U.S. trying to convince China in December, January and February to intervene and persuade Russia not to cross the border into Ukraine.
Many people have looked at this story from the perspective of incompetence, ie. why would the Biden team think China would not share the intel, etc.
However, when it comes to these types of issues, never ascribe to incompetence that which can be explained by intent.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official in the Ukrainian government blasted Joe Biden and Democrats, telling The Daily Wire, “If Democrats weren’t such pussies in foreign policy, this might not have happened.”

Joe Biden has allowed over 2 million illegal aliens into our country in 2021 and I’m sure there will be more than that this year. The Biden administration has violated nearly every immigration law we have, and so it comes as no surprise that Joe Biden does not like safe and secure borders. I’m sorry. I meant Biden doesn’t like safe and secure borders for America. Other countries’ borders matter more to our irresponsible nimrod in charge.
Take, for example, a memo that went out to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers who are working on the US/Mexico border that asks CBP agents to volunteer to work temporarily in Poland to help assist Ukraine-Americans, legal US residents, and their immediate families trying to get out of Ukraine due to the Russian invasion.

Canada’s cyber spy agency is warning organizations, including power companies and banks, to shore up their defences against Russia-based cyber threat activity as the Western world responds to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a statement Thursday, the Communications Security Establishment said that “in light of Russia’s ongoing, unjustified military offensive in Ukraine,” it “strongly encourages all Canadian organizations to take immediate action and bolster their online cyber defences.”

It is the West’s wacko environmentalists who handed Russian President Vladimir Putin the leverage and money to invade Crimea in 2014 and Ukraine this week.
Without these wackos, Putin would be just another gangster in charge of a crumbling country, and maybe one on the verge of a revolution to depose him.
