World Economic Forum leader Klaus Schwab told Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland he relies on her leadership to achieve the organization’s objectives, according to a hand-signed letter obtained by The Epoch Times.
“I have long counted on your leadership in ensuring multistakeholder efforts remain focused on results that are more equitable, sustainable and just,” Mr. Schwab wrote in a February 2022 letter.

The World Economic Forum is again in the news because of a Canadian Press wire story that appeared in many media outlets accusing Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives of “embracing the language of mainstream conspiracy theories.”

Harris Gleckman, senior fellow at the University of Massachusetts, describes the report as “the most comprehensive proposal for re-designing global governance since the formulation of the United Nations during World War II.”

Prescriptions include “decoupling economic growth from energy consumption” and “mainstreaming breakthrough technological innovations and addressing equity,” as well as using other crises “to develop more ambitious, comprehensive, and sustainable infrastructure investment plans that [help] the world to meet the 2030 targets.”
