Is Boeing’s Cursed Starliner Going to Be Marooned Up There?

It’s a good thing the International Space Station is relatively comfy because a couple of houseguests just got their stay extended by a few extra days — again.

The crew of the Boeing Starliner’s first manned flight test, mission commander Barry Wilmore and pilot Suni Williams, were informed by NASA this week that there would be another four-day delay in getting home back to Earth, now scheduled for June 26. NASA needs “a little bit more time to look at the data” behind ongoing helium leaks in Starliner’s maneuvering thrusters and “do some analysis, and make sure we’re really ready to come home,” NASA Commercial Crew Program Manager Steve Stich said Tuesday.

Elon Musk admits ‘two homicidal maniacs tried to kill him’ in past seven months

During a question-and-answer session for Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting, the electric automaker’s CEO, Elon Musk, noted that multiple attempts on his life in the past seven months have occurred for no seemingly apparent reason other than his social and business prominence.

Climate change artwork looks like fly-tipping at historic cathedral, residents say

An art installation at a historic cathedral which is designed to highlight the impact of climate change looks like “fly-tipping”, residents have claimed.

The wooden sculpture depicts a house perched on top of a cliff edge and is supposed to remind passers-by of how homes can be affected by coastal erosion and harsh weather.

But the “timber pile” in front of 900-year-old Salisbury Cathedral and near the city’s historic Cathedral Close has angered locals, who have asked for what one called a “monstrous debacle” to be removed.

Cult leader who forced followers to pull out own teeth and eat faeces jailed

Eat Poop for God.

A cult leader who forced her followers to eat faeces and used pliers to pull out their teeth as punishment has been jailed for more than 10 years in Singapore.

Woo May Hoe, 54, convinced about 30 people that she was a deity, while subjecting the group to cruel physical abuse and defrauding them of more than $10 million (£7.8 million).

In a rare case of cult crime in Singapore, prosecutors said she had instituted a “reign of terror” over eight years, convincing her followers to part with their money, which she claimed would be used to build temples in India.

Hezbollah has declared war against the enemy. No, not just Israel

“… The “danger” he speaks of emanates from Lebanon’s LGBTQ+ population. It is the lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans people that preoccupy his Party of God.

The sayyid has seen the enemy and the enemy is queer. Which is why Nasrallah repeatedly dehumanizes and demonizes LGBTQ+ people.

“The culture of homosexuality is very influential and comes from the United States,” he complained in a televised speech. “It is not only demonic; it has real effects.”
