Blue Checkmark Pundits Delight in Death of Britain‘s Monarch Elizabeth II

While many people around the world are mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II, various blue ticks on Twitter have been celebrating the monarch’s death.

Many critics of the monarchy — even those who have links to armed struggles against the Queen and her United Kingdom — have been polite enough to express their condolences to those mourning, but parts of blue checkmark Twitter have not had such class, instead thinking it best to express open delight.

The US Pentagon has stopped accepting new F-35 jets after it discovered a magnet used in the stealthy fighter’s engine was made with unauthorized material from China, a US official said on Wednesday.

Almost 25% of Democrats think men can get pregnant

According to a WPA Intelligence survey, 22% of Democrats think that “some men can get pregnant.”  What’s even worse, although not at all surprising, is that the women are the ones who are really crazy.

It turns out that 36% of White, college-educated Democrat women think men can get pregnant.  I’ve written before about how leftism damages women.  It makes them extremely angry and neurotic.  It also, apparently, cuts them off from reality.  Sadly, these same women are a force to be reckoned with politically.  They may be loopy, but they’ve got political power.

Europe’s green deception: Forests destroyed for Paris Accord compliance

This reads like a cautionary tale on the Law of Unintended Regulatory Consequences, and to some extent it is. However, it’s just as much a tale of green-movement hypocrisy, as well as yet another lesson on the impact of incentives and artificial market interventions. The New York Times explains in a sideways manner how the EU has attempted to comply with its own Paris Accord targets for carbon-dioxide reduction by, er, wiping out the forests of the continent for conversion to power.

This protest tactic comes highly recommended by elementary school teacher’s unions I understand.

What does Liz Truss see in Canada? … Her political inspiration is a failed utopia

Faced with soaring costs of living, increased collateral damage from the war in Ukraine, and widening national inequality, Liz Truss seemed curiously optimistic in her first speech as Prime Minister. What could possibly be driving such bullishness? Absent any sign of a coherent plan of action, we might find her motivation in an Instagram post from 2018, where Truss cited the time she spent in Canada as a teenager as “the year that changed my outlook on life…..#pioneercounty #optimism #maplespirit”.
