Pharmacies Keep Closing: Blame Shoplifting and Intentional Pharmacist Shortages

While local and national media outlets frequently report on food deserts, particularly in cities that lack sufficient grocery stores, there is one major shortage that goes largely unnoticed by the press: pharmacies.

“Pharmacy deserts” pose a real threat, particularly for vulnerable populations. This is something I’ve seen firsthand. Last year, the Rite Aid in my neighborhood in Riverside, California, closed down and was boarded up for good. It came as no surprise, as it had been repeatedly robbed. A few months ago, it reopened as a shoe store.

Daughter taught that ‘heteronormativity’ is a ‘bad thing’ -Mother loses legal battle to force daughter’s school to share sex education materials

A mother has lost a legal battle to force a school to share sex education materials used in her daughter’s lesson.

A judge ruled that the commercial interests of the third-party sex education provider outweighed the public interest in forcing the school to release the lesson plan under freedom of information laws.

Clare Page, 47, began her campaign after her 15-year-old daughter came home from school and said she had been taught that “heteronormativity” was a “bad thing” and that she should be “sex positive” towards relationships.

China, Pakistan and Turkey Eyeing Kashmir

When India hosted a key G20 conference in Srinagar, the capital of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory of India, on May 22 and 23, even though the conference was reportedly attended by around 122 delegates, including 60 foreigners, it was boycotted by Pakistan as well as its longtime allies, China and Turkey.

Pakistan called the meeting “illegal.” Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, but it is claimed by Pakistan, which has violently targeted the region through terror groups. Hundreds of people therefore rallied in the Pakistan-occupied area of Kashmir to protest the meeting.

WARMINGTON: Democracy means being third in polls but excluded from debates that include opponents you are beating

Only in a city like Toronto that hands out free crystal meth pipes would this make any sense.

You can have four candidates behind you in the latest poll in the Toronto mayoral race but still not be allowed into the televised debates despite being ahead of most of those on the stage.

Tom Mulcair: Will Justin Trudeau decide to stick around?

Now that David Johnston has stepped down, the serious work of putting in place a commission of inquiry can begin.

Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc embarrassed himself by saying the Liberals were never opposed to a public inquiry. But at this stage, who cares?

The important thing is that Canadians will finally have a chance to know what really happened with Chinese government interference in our elections.

He’s a delusional wee tyrant, far too much the narcissist to ever consider stepping down.

Burisma boss in alleged Biden bribe scheme claims to have 15 taped conversations with Hunter, 2 with Joe: Grassley

WASHINGTON — The FBI source who reported President Biden’s alleged role in a bribery scheme said that a Ukrainian businessman claimed to keep as “insurance” 15 audio recordings of first son Hunter Biden and two of Joe Biden, a Republican senator revealed Monday.

Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) made the staggering claim in a Senate floor speech after FBI Director Christopher Wray last week allowed House Oversight Committee members to see a redacted informant file about the claim that Hunter and then-Vice President Joe Biden received $5 million apiece to serve the interests of Burisma Holdings owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

Portland’s new ‘Safe Rest Village’ for city’s homeless has become hotbed of drug-dealing and crime

Frightened neighbors have said one of Portland’s new city-sponsored homeless villages has become a hotbed for crime and drug dealing.

Homeless people, who were previously camping out on the Peninsula Crossing Trail in Portland, were taken off the streets and introduced to the city’s solution, the recently-completed Safe Rest Village.

But the new village, which houses 70 people, has caused mayhem for homeowners in the vicinity, who say it’s running rampant with drug dealers, loud noises and anti-social behavior.

John Robson: With Johnston Gone, We Need a Real Public Inquiry With Teeth

So it looks like there’s going to be a public inquiry into Chinese communist meddling in our elections after all. At least Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc is hinting as much. Who saw that one coming?

Not David Johnston, evidently. He finally stepped down from his untenable position, which I greet with the same grace he exhibited in announcing it. Namely in resigning as depressingly ordinary rapporteur he blamed “the highly partisan atmosphere around my appointment and work,” not the real conflict of interest that made him unsuitable from the word go and the shabby initial report that made his position untenable.

What should we make of UFO whistleblower David Grusch?

David Grusch is a former midranking civilian intelligence officer and Air Force veteran. In July 2021, Grusch filed a whistleblower complaint to the Defense Department’s inspector general alleging the existence of a covert public-private sector program to retrieve and exploit crashed, unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, or what the government refers to as unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs. Grusch subsequently briefed Congress on his assertions.

Writing for the Debrief last week, Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal documented the broad substance of Grusch’s claims. In response, the government and military have continued to deny that they have evidence of any such program existing. Grusch went into more detail on his claims during an interview with journalist Ross Coulthart that aired on NewsNation on Sunday evening. In that interview, Grusch claimed that the United States retains multiple craft originally constructed by a “non-human intelligence” and that the public and Congress are being lied to.
