Zelensky and Key Adviser at Odds Over Counteroffensive

Ukraine is not ready to launch its long-anticipated counteroffensive against Russian forces, one of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s closest aides said on Saturday, contradicting statements from the Ukrainian leader that were released on the same day.

“If you want to start a successful counteroffensive you need everything at your disposal,” the deputy head of Zelensky’s office, Dr Ihor Zhovkva, told The Sunday Times, adding that Ukraine needs tanks, armored vehicles and artillery. “So probably we don’t have enough.”

As South Africa collapses, it opts for full, anti-white apartheid

For a very long time, South Africa was a well-managed country that engaged in immoral racial apartheid. Blacks were denied all civil rights and were forcibly economically marginalized. When apartheid finally ended, it seemed as if South Africa could continue to be a well-managed country, only without the evil of racial segregation. However, with Cyril Ramaphosa, who rose through the communist African National Congress, in charge, the country is violently imploding, and apartheid is back…only this time against whites and Indians.

ESPN Host Stephen A. Smith Is Fed Up with Silence About Black-on-Black Gun Crime

The outspoken host of ESPN’s “First Take” and “The Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast is fed up with black-on-black crime and the silence that surrounds it. This week Smith said during his eponymous podcast that he “had no choice” but to talk about it. Lamenting the high number of shootings in Chicago over the long Memorial Day Weekend, Smith had a question for the black community: “When are we going to look at ourselves when it comes to black people being killed in the streets of America?”

The Little Mermaid is Disney propaganda

Guilt-ridden millennials are its target audience

One of the musical highlights of the original, animated Little Mermaid is a scene in which Ariel, newly human, tries to get Prince Eric to kiss her. If he doesn’t, she’ll turn back into a mermaid, but because Ariel has lost her voice, her main job is to sit there looking available; the actual seduction is stage-managed by her crab friend Sebastian, who sings encouragement into Eric’s ear …

Why Africa is turning its back on the eco-obsessed West

The developing world needs rapid growth, not lectures on sustainability.

The Western democracies appear united in their support for Ukraine, but they may also be losing the bigger, more consequential battle for the loyalties of the developing world. Virtually no developing country – including democracies like India, Brazil, Nigeria and South Africa – has chosen to take steps opposing Russia’s aggression (in fact, South Africa may have joined Iran in sending weapons to Moscow). This is a stark reflection of the West’s waning influence.

“A Catastrophe”: Dutch PM Called Out on Immigration Policy

A resident, from a village where neighborhood watches patrol the streets, turned to Rutte demanding: “Stand up for your citizenry, man. Take action!”

Discontent within the ranks of the Dutch conservative-liberal VVD (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie) has gone well beyond murmurings.

The Netherlands’ largest party is contending with members who openly challenge its leader, Prime Minister Mark Rutte, for diddling on the delivery of a more firm and robust immigration policy.

During a conference organized by the VVD for its members on Saturday, June 3rd in Apeldoorn, Rutte answered pointed questions about his promise, made at the party’s last conference in November, to do more to curtail the high influx of migrants.

It’s harder than ever to predict what will happen next in Ukraine

The Ukrainian counter-offensive is expected to be imminent but what happens once it begins is one more giant uncertainty in what is proving to be a particularly unpredictable war.

Those of us relying mostly on open sources, Ukrainians and remaining Russian contacts to get a picture of the situation on the ground can only envy the mass of sources at the disposal of senior US officials. Nonetheless, one I spoke to was candid that for all the intelligence on which he could draw, he could not predict how the counter-offensive would play out. “Frankly,” he said, “there are simply too many variables, too many unknowns.”

Germany’s far-right AfD profits from climate change spat

The far-right Alternative for Germany is flying high, reaching 18% support in two nationwide polls. The party is sharpening its profile by attacking the Green Party’s climate policies.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) has been in an uproar for weeks. According to the opposition party, the policies of the federal government are not only failing, but a threat to peace and prosperity.

The far-right party positions itself for confrontation in almost all areas of policy: When it comes to the war in Ukraine, the AfD calls for peace negotiations instead of weapons deliveries. For migration, the party advocates tightening the borders instead of recruiting skilled workers.

Above all, the far-right populist party portrays itself as an aggressive opponent to the government’s energy and climate policy.

Anglo-Saxons aren’t real, Cambridge tells students in effort to fight ‘nationalism’

Beowulf

Cambridge is teaching students that Anglo-Saxons did not exist as a distinct ethnic group as part of efforts to undermine “myths of nationalism”.

Britain’s early medieval history is taught by the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, but the terms within its own title are being addressed as part of efforts to make teaching more “anti-racist”.

Its teaching aims to “dismantle the basis of myths of nationalism” by explaining that the Anglo-Saxons were not a distinct ethnic group, according to information from the department.

It’s Now or Never

That watermelon looks racist.

It has by now become starkly obvious that the leftist attack on the Judeo-Christian West proceeds on three main fronts: Christianity, the family, and borders. The attack is gathering momentum and mounting success, as resistance, at least on the official and communications levels, is distressingly scattered. A brief overview of the logistics of the campaign may be in order, in the interests of simple clarity.

Singh says NDP won’t trigger election over Johnston, interference. Why?

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is defending his party’s decision not to make its motion calling for David Johnston to step down as special rapporteur binding and says an election does not “make sense” if the goal is protecting Canada’s democracy.

Singh told The West Block’s Mercedes Stephenson in an interview that aired Sunday that he wants to get a better understanding of the full extent of allegations of foreign interference.

Why the Liberals are suddenly talking about ‘ghost guns’ — and why Conservatives say it’s a cynical distraction

OTTAWA — The Liberals’ legislation to tighten gun restrictions started out as a bill largely focused on banning handguns.

Then, it expanded into a sweeping ban on hundreds of long guns so broadly seen as a direct attack on hunters and sport shooters that the Liberals simply had to walk that aspect back.

Now, in the version of C-21 they hope to pass before summer, the Liberals are promoting an additional showpiece: measures to crack down on the untraceable weapons known as “ghost guns.”
