Ontario doctors critical of COVID measures fail to stop medical college’s disciplinary hearings

Three doctors opposed to public health measures regarding COVID-19 failed to stop potentially practice-ending disciplinary hearings by the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons.

An appeal by doctors Mark Trozzi, Patrick Phillips and Crystal Luchkiw, claiming the college is targeting “anti-vaxxers” and “anti-maskers,” and is unconstitutional, was rejected by a college tribunal.

How Sam Bankman-Fried’s ties with the Clintons helped him dupe investors

Sam Bankman-Fried cultivated ties with A-list celebrities, politicians and investors alike — but one power couple in particular was key to boosting his profile in influential and moneyed circles.

Bill Clinton was paid north of $250,000 when he spoke at the disgraced FTX CEO’s Crypto Bahamas Conference in April, sources told The Post. At the over-the-top tropical shindig, the ex-US president along with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair were famously photographed onstage next to Bankman-Fried, who appeared wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

One Year After Death of Indian Migrants at Border, US Still Sees Illegal Crossings

A year after a family of four from India froze to death while trying to walk to the United States from Manitoba, the agency tasked with patrolling the border says others have not been deterred from attempting the same treacherous journey.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has seen a drastic uptick in recent months of people trying to enter North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin illegally from Canada.

Ivan Provorov’s Faithful Stand Exposes Anti-Religious Intolerance In The Name Of Tolerance

“Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” reads Christ’s eighth beatitude in the Gospel of Matthew. It is perhaps the beatitude most often viewed as a remnant of the ancient world among modern Americans, as persecution of the faithful has been remarkably absent in this country. Every now and then, though, a news story reminds us Christ’s proclamation is just as important as ever.

Propaganda Acolytes: 54 Soros-Tied Figures Linked to Major Media

The over $32 billion that leftist billionaire George Soros poured into his organizations to spread his radical “open society” agenda on abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism around the globe has paid dividends.

In fact, his funding has helped him establish ties with some of the biggest name media personalities in the United States and abroad which help indoctrinate millions with his views on a day-to-day basis. MRC Business found at least 54 prominent media figures (e.g. reporters, anchors, columnists, editors, news executives and journalists) who are tied to Soros through their connections to organizations that he funds. These include personalities like NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and The Washington Post executive editor Sally Buzbee.

Lying Flat: China’s Demographic Decline

It is a wholly predictable consequence of the one-child policy.

Communist China’s guiding ideology, epitomized first by “Mao Zedong Thought,” and now by “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,” has always been predicated on the notion of unceasing struggle. “Marxism,” Chairman Mao maintained, “can develop only through struggle, and this is not only true of the past and the present, it is necessarily true of the future as well.” Class struggle, factional struggle, the struggle against foreign invaders, the struggle against obsolescent traditions, and the struggle for production, all these struggles were meant to pave the way for a new social system upon which the very salvation of the world was said to depend…

The slippery slope to trans toddlers

Letting 16-year-olds legally change sex is a dangerously naive idea.

This week, the UK government made the ground-breaking decision to block Nicola Sturgeon’s Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill, which had been passed in the Scottish parliament last year.

One of the most dangerous and controversial aspects of the Scottish legislation was that it would enable children as young as 16 to obtain a gender-recognition certificate and thus legally change sex. So it was more than a little alarming to hear the UK education secretary, whose government had just blocked the bill, endorsing precisely this aspect of it.

The unhinged environmentalism of Al Gore

Lucky old Americans. They only had to put up with one fruitcake as president, in Donald Trump. It could have been worse. But for a few hanging chads in Florida in the 2000 Presidential election, they could have ended up with Al Gore.

It isn’t just the hanging chads, though, that have become unhinged, but Gore himself. In an extraordinary speech to the World Economic Forum in Davos, an increasingly crimson Gore angrily berated the rest of the world – Greta Thunberg and other youthful activists excepted – for failing to realise just how close we are to climate apocalypse. ‘People are familiar with the thin blue line which astronauts bring back in their pictures from space,’ he began. ‘That’s the part of the atmosphere which has the oxygen and it’s only 5 to 7 km thick. That’s what we are using as an open sewer.’

An anonymous look inside the UK’s woker than woke police

The writer is a serving police officer.

IT IS a widely held belief that public bodies have, these days, been completely captured by woke ideology amid the ongoing culture wars. HR departments are having their collective heads turned by intersectional dogma and managers care more for what’s said about them on Twitter than they do in performing efficiently.

Particular concern has been focused on the police, which, as if to illustrate the point, now prefers to be called a service rather than a force. Some otherwise sensible folk are of the opinion that, surely, an institution which deals with catching often violent offenders and bringing them to justice simply cannot have been taken over by this quasi-religious ‘be kind’ zealotry? Unfortunately, dear reader, I’m here to tell you that it has.

Shamima Begum On Islamic State Beheadings: ‘I Was Okay With That’ It’s a matter “of Islam”.

Shamima Begum is the daughter of Bangladeshi immigrants to the U.K. In 2015, when news of the Islamic State (ISIS) first reached Great Britain, Begum — then aged 15 – knew where she most wanted to be. Inspired by tales of Islamic State fighters decapitating Infidels, she immediately set out with two classmates from school to join the paradise on earth being created by her Muslim soul mates in the Islamic State. She later told a British journalist that she had no qualms or doubts about that practice of decapitating enemies; it was a matter, she said, “of Islam.”

The moral grandstanding behind San Francisco’s reparations plan

The supposedly progressive city is alienating its black residents

San Francisco, long a bastion of extremist progressivism, is currently outdoing itself. The city’s reparations committee has just adopted a proposal to give $5 million — and grant debt forgiveness — to all long-time black residents who can prove descent from slaves. It is a gesture, and one that is unlikely to be adopted at a time when the state is under severe fiscal stress. The city isn’t in much better shape either; San Francisco now stands as among the least recovered of America’s core cities after the pandemic.

Russian propagandists sent to promote newly-built apartment blocks in the occupied Ukrainian city of Mariupol have inadvertently revealed that the buildings are marred by problems.

Eight months after the once thriving port city in south-eastern Ukraine fell under Moscow’s control last May, its remaining residents have complained of flooded apartments and shoddy workmanship.
