Every morning…

My routine.

  1. Make Coffee or feed cat first depending on how insistent he is.
  2. Clean litter box under cat supervision
  3. Grab coffee sit down at computer
  4.  Accept that cat will jump into my arms and wish to sleep there for as long as he desires risking injury should I move and disturb him or God forbid attempt to set him down.
  5.  Feed at least twice more before 8 am.
  6.  Fend off further hostile arm sleeps.
  7. Deal with maniac staring game until I give in and toss him toys to catch. Rinse and repeat until he tires.

He stares like a feline Boo Radley, unrelenting, simultaneously menacing and pitiful. He will not stop until you toss the damn toys. If you don’t he’ll topple the bucket.

Xavier and I are slowly adapting to one another. He was as I now understand more feral than domestic.

Overall his behavior has improved however much damage was done to my arms and several items of furniture in the process.

I did purchase Feliway cat pheromone which I spray on the areas he uses as illicit scratching posts and it does calm him and prevent him from scratching. Interestingly he is not seeking out alternate illicit scratching posts instead relying on the dedicated ones I have provided. I do recommend Feliway.

We are working on his play style, when he roughhouses he tends to bite & scratch until he draws blood. 0 to 60 in seconds but slowly he’s learning to let up.

That said he is a loving little guy, a few issues yes but we’re working on it.

We may struggle at times but we are learning to struggle together.

Canada’s China class may have to elect a new Dummy. … President Xi humiliates Trudeau as he is caught on camera tearing strips off Canadian PM that their conversation at G20

Toe-curling footage has emerged of Chinese President Xi Jinping humiliating Justin Trudeau with a dressing down on the sidelines of the G20 conference.

The two leaders were caught on camera having a heated discussion at the global summit in Bali today, with Xi tearing into the Canadian Prime Minister.

Xi appeared visibly frustrated as he confronted Trudeau about how details of an earlier meeting between them, which was held yesterday, had been leaked to the press by Canadian government sources.

Once again Junior embarrasses Canada.

MANDEL: Senior cop accused of interfering in probe of nephew’s car crash

It’s another potential black eye for the men and women in blue.

Another high-ranking Toronto Police officer is before the disciplinary tribunal on misconduct charges — and these latest allegations are an especially bad look: Insp. Joyce Schertzer is accused of interfering in an investigation into her nephew’s car crash and letting him leave the scene before any possible impairment investigation could take place.

… The well-respected officer has known all too well how allegations can torpedo a career — she was married to John Schertzer, the former head of a Toronto Police drug squad who was convicted of attempted obstruction of justice in 2013.

US may extradite Sam Bankman-Fried amid FTX collapse investigation

The U.S. and the Bahamas have discussed potentially extraditing former crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried to the U.S. for questioning regarding the collapse of his company, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Bankman-Fried’s FTX collapsed from being a world-class crypto trading company to filing for bankruptcy last week. Bankman-Fried resides in the Bahamas, where the company is also registered. The top Democratic donor is facing burgeoning calls for investigation in the U.S.

He was on record stating it was a Ponzi scheme well before the collapse.

Well before the catastrophic collapse of his FTX cryptocurrency exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried told everyone what he was doing. He told them about his appetite for risk. He told them some crypto exchanges were “secretly insolvent.” Last year, when declaring his net worth to be an estimated $10 billion, he said it was in “mostly illiquid” assets. Even when Bloomberg’s Matt Levine suggested he was in the “Ponzi business” during an interview in April, Bankman-Fried didn’t disagree. “I think that’s a pretty reasonable response,” he said.

I see Madoff like jail time ahead.

RCMP head Brenda Lucki didn’t share her plans for other options before Emergencies Act invoked

The day before the federal government invoked the Emergencies Act, RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki had prepared notes advising cabinet there were other tools available and that police finally had a plan in place to address the Ottawa protests but she never delivered the message.

The country’s top Mountie made the admission during hours of testimony at the Emergencies Act inquiry on Tuesday in which she couldn’t recall key meetings during the protests; said she didn’t understand the role the Emergencies Act could play or the process Ottawa police were to follow to get more resources; and was unable to explain comments from meetings and text exchanges that she participated in.

Chinese President Xi Jinping accuses Trudeau of ‘leaking’ details of conversation to media

Chinese President Xi Jinping has accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of behaving inappropriately by leaking the substance of a conversation between the two leaders to the media.

The accusations came as the pair crossed paths in a public space in Bali, Indonesia, where both leaders are attending the G20 summit.

“Everything we discuss has been leaked to the paper; that’s not appropriate,” Xi told Trudeau through an interpreter.

I bet Junior hoped this staged photo-op would make him appear heroic, instead Xi comes across as a teacher dealing with an irritating attention seeking student.

Sickening that Justin sucks Xi’s dick on behalf of Canada’s China class by whining about still wishing to participate in China’s economic hegemony.

Poland, NATO say missile strike wasn’t a Russian attack … Germany recommends strike against Warsaw

PRZEWODOW, Poland (AP) — NATO member Poland and the head of the military alliance both said Wednesday there is “no indication” that a missile that came down in Polish farmland, killing two people, was an intentional attack, and that air defenses in neighboring Ukraine likely launched the Soviet-era projectile to fend off a Russian assault that savaged its power grid.

“Ukraine’s defense was launching their missiles in various directions and it is highly probable that one of these missiles unfortunately fell on Polish territory,” said Polish President Andrzej Duda. “There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to suggest that it was an intentional attack on Poland.”

After spending billions, federal government doesn’t know if it’s reducing chronic homelessness: AG

Feds want to reduce chronic homelessness by 50% — but there’s scant data on progress

The federal departments tasked with curbing chronic homelessness in Canada don’t know if the billions of dollars in public money they’ve spent have helped to get people into homes, Canada’s auditor general reported Tuesday.

Auditor General Karen Hogan found that the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and Infrastructure Canada have failed to collect sufficient data about their programs, which are designed to connect the most vulnerable people with homes.

These two agencies are largely responsible for delivering the federal government’s National Housing Strategy, which has a target of reducing chronic homelessness by 50 per cent by the 2027-28 fiscal year.
