Yet new data flies in the face of this fashionable narrative.

Following a national drive to make undergraduate intakes more ‘diverse’, figures released on Thursday by the Department for Education showed that, for the first time, white young people are now proportionately the least likely of all major ethnic groups to attend our top universities.

The doctrine, dating back to the 15th century, included a series of edicts known as papal bulls, that were later used to justify colonizing Indigenous lands.

But any hesitation by the Pope to renounce it may stem from the Vatican’s view that the church has already done away with and replaced those edicts, some observers suggest.

Alex Jones’ InfoWars conspiracy website parent files for bankruptcy

July 29 (Reuters) – The parent of far-right conspiracy website InfoWars filed for U.S. bankruptcy protection on Friday as the company and its founder Alex Jones face up to $150 million in damages in a trial over longstanding falsehoods he perpetuated about the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre.

The bankruptcy filing by the InfoWars parent, Free Speech Systems LLC, would normally result in the trial and related litigation being halted. But Free Speech plans to ask a bankruptcy judge to allow the trial currently underway in Texas to continue and is seeking an emergency hearing on Monday, according to a court filing.

Ottawa proposes such a cap under either of two approaches: regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) to create a cap-and-trade system across oil and gas producers; or a higher carbon price and greater stringency for oil and gas facilities under the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act (otherwise known as the federal carbon pricing “backstop.”)

In a recent situation update, Ontario public health officials noted that evidence is emerging SARS-CoV-2 can cause “immune dysregulation,” a vague term that’s used when the immune system isn’t behaving normally.

White blood cell counts may be off, immune cells don’t work the way they should, inflammation is higher than it should be. “Long story short, COVID-19 leads to lasting, and possibly permanent changes in immune cells in some, but not all, people,” McMaster University immunologist Dawn Bowdish said.

Pope says genocide took place at Canada’s residential schools for Indigenous children

While the word genocide wasn’t heard in any of Pope Francis’s addresses during a week-long trip to Canada, on his flight back to Rome, he said everything he described about the residential school system and its forced assimilation of Indigenous children amounts to genocide.

“I didn’t use the word genocide because it didn’t come to mind but I described genocide,” Pope Francis told reporters on the papal flight from Iqaluit to Rome on Friday.

Is that a potential unmarked genocide?

A South African opposition figure has warned of impending civil unrest in the continent’s richest country and likened it to ‘an Arab Spring.’

The controversial opposition leader Julius Malema spoke of the country waking up one day with ‘very angry people that are not going to be reasonable.’

Discontent with the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party in South Africa is at all-time high levels due to the social conditions within the country and ‘the poor becoming poor,’ according to Malema.

‘When the unled revolution comes… the first target is going to be white people,’ Mr Malema told the BBC’s Hardtalk programme, adding that the uprising would also target ‘black elites.’

Biden polls lower than any modern president, Gallup finds

Nearly 60% of Americans disapprove of President Biden’s job performance, the lowest rating of any modern president and an ominous sign for his fellow Democrats approaching the midterm congressional elections, a new poll reveals.

The Democrat’s approval sunk to a new low of 38% in the latest Gallup survey, released Friday based on surveys done from July 5-26.

A record high 59% of respondents disapproved of Biden’s record in office.

“Canadian man” gets life in prison from U.S. judge for aiding ISIS

A U.S. judge on Friday sentenced a Saudi-born Canadian man to life in prison after he pleaded guilty in December to aiding Islamic State by working with propagandists who publicized the group’s beheading of hostages including American journalist James Foley.

Mohammed Khalifa, 39, who grew up in Toronto and left Canada in 2013 for Syria, killed two Syrian soldiers on the group’s behalf before his capture by U.S.-backed Kurdish forces in 2019, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement on his sentence.

He also murdered for his satanic Allah but the CBC doesn’t want to offend ISIS.

Every week I could write a column on the many ways that Justin Trudeau is a hypocrite.

But even I’m surprised by Trudeau’s insincerity on an issue as serious as slavery.

Canadians can soon expect Trudeau to make comments on social media in honour of Emancipation Day. It’s one of the most important days of the year, when we remember the men and women who fought to end slavery in the British Empire in 1834.

A Russian named Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov has been charged with “orchestrating a years-long foreign malign influence campaign that used various U.S. political groups to sow discord, spread pro-Russian propaganda, and interfere in elections within the United States.” According to a DOJ press release, Ionov was directed by FSB and gained influence with three separate groups in Florida, Georgia and California.

Twitter Censors All Content From The Epoch Times

Twitter has imposed a blockade on all content from The Epoch Times without explanation, raising further concerns about freedom of speech on the platform.

Beginning on the evening of July 28, the platform put up a warning on all links from The Epoch Times. A click on a link would direct users to a page titled “Warning: this link may be unsafe” which prompts users to return to the previous page.
