Greta Thunberg just (accidentally) revealed the green Left’s inconsistency

The European Union just took a major step toward accepting and promoting nuclear energy as a form of “green energy.” Naturally, climate change activists celebrated the move to normalize a form of energy production that produces zero carbon emissions.

Just kidding. Many on the green Left actually criticized the EU’s move.

“No amount of lobbyism and greenwashing will ever make [nuclear] ‘green,’” activist Greta Thunberg tweeted in advance of the decision. “We desperately need real renewable energy, not false solutions.”

Concern about the growing threat from the extreme Right-wing has been gaining ground in Britain. The commentariat has lined up to emphasise how it will define this century.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan wrote recently that the West’s battle against the far-Right is one that we cannot ignore. Khan argues that the threat is an evolving global danger and one which the world needs to wake up to. Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and head of counter-terrorism policing, Matt Jukes, warned that those involved in far-Right extremism were getting younger.

Dems’ new midterm strategy: Throw Grandpa Joe under the bus?

Rats, sinking ships, some disassembly may be — but apparently isn’t — required. ABC’s Rick Klein notices today what has become apparent over the last couple of months but especially after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. Democrats have begun to make Joe Biden the focus of their public complaints, and they’re doing that increasingly on the record.

I don’t think Joe is in charge of anything except perhaps the White House’ Tapioca Reserve.

For Foreign Fighters in Ukraine, a War Unlike Any They’ve Seen

Small groups of Western combat veterans are on the front lines, but many more with fewer skills are left trying to find a role to play.

DRUZHKIVKA, Ukraine — Four months after Russia invaded Ukraine, foreign combat veterans who answered the Ukrainian president’s call to fight are grappling with the grueling reality of a war unlike any they have seen.

Many are American and British veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, where they could count on calling in airstrikes for protection and other critical support. In Ukraine, the military effort is essentially bare-bones, leaving Ukrainian forces — and their foreign-fighter allies — to face a larger and better armed Russian invasion force without basics, like steady meals, and even some tools of modern warfare that would help them level the field.

“This is way more intense than what I saw in Afghanistan,” said Brian, a former U.S. Army paratrooper, who did not want his last name used for security reasons. “This is combat, combat.”

On passports and airports, public patience with Liberals is running out

Here’s a number the federal government would like you to know.

Between February and June of this year, the amount of Canadians travelling by air shot up 280 per cent. In the United States, the increase was just 25 per cent.

The number comes from Transport Canada, and the reason federal Liberals want us all to know about it is because they argue it’s why families are camped out at Canadian airports and why police have had to intervene in unruly passport lineups that stretch around the block.

Confessed Highland Park shooter Robert Crimo III admitted to cops three years ago that he was a depressed teenage drug user when quizzed about threatening to “kill everyone” in his family, newly released documents show.

A Highland Park police report details why the then-18-year-old alleged shooter was flagged as a “clear and present danger” in 2019 — just a few months before his dad helped him start amassing the arsenal he allegedly used to kill seven and injure dozens at his local Fourth of July parade.

Swarms Of Teens Are Robbing People Near Canada’s Wonderland & Police Have Arrested 10 Kids

Hey Jimmy let’s swarm folks at Wonderland!

Most teens go to Canada’s Wonderland for the rides, but some seem to be going for the crime.

York Regional Police (YRP) have launched “Project Beehave” to combat recent “swarming-style robberies” that have taken place near Canada’s Wonderland by large groups of teenagers.

According to a press release, police have responded to a “significant volume” of these robberies where groups of teens swarm victims and rob them in the evening in Vaughan around Jane Street and Norwood Avenue.

On June 30, Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre made a choice.

Wearing a crisp blue shirt and a politician’s smile, he walked up to a group of anti-vaccine mandate protesters and led the pack as it walked down Ottawa’s streets.

Beside him marched a man named James Topp, an anti-vaccine figure now set to face a court martial, who had been walking across the country to draw attention to his opposition to vaccine mandates. Topp, however, had recently joined a podcast run by far-right figurehead Jeremy Mackenzie for over an hour, saying that the podcast and others like it “kept (him) hanging on.” Mackenzie said in January that the “Freedom Convoy,” which gathered in Ottawa in February, could “bring down the government.”

The “Experts” are the usual suspects that populate the perpetual anti-conservative media feedback loop. Frankly this expert is concerned that the  world is just too  awful for them. Medication is likely required.

Ontario Teachers Union Lesson Plan Seeks To Accuse Children Of Sexism And Racism

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) has been releasing multiple school resources for their member teachers to teach Ontario elementary-age children about “white privilege” through things like the Re-Think, Re-Connect, Re-Imagine PDF package they released fairly recently.

The rather insidious nature of this lesson plan package and its other supplementary materials is how it is deliberately designed to teach white children that they are somehow racist or are beneficiaries of “privilege” based only on their skin colour.
