If there was one thing that stood out in last week’s announcement, it was the unspoken rather than the spoken. What Zuckerberg said: “Facebook is an iconic social media brand. But right now, our brand is so tightly linked to one product that it can’t possibly represent what we’re doing today let alone in the future.”
What he didn’t say: “We’re just going to try to sweep under the rug the scandals that have recently plagued Facebook. We’re moving on to create the metaverse hoping that you’ll just forgive and forget the bad things we did or have caused to happen.”
Cynics smile before they say, “Perception is reality.” What we see must be true because we see it! If we don’t see it, then it cannot be real. Anyone who has ever used Photoshop knows that “seeing is believing” is false, just as misleading as expecting politicians to do what they promise.
The mainstream (complicit) media are the worst offenders. They believe they control reality by determining what the public sees or doesn’t see.
A Halloween-themed profile of a “teenage witch” in The Washington Post over the weekend reads surprisingly like a backhanded affirmation of the Bible and Christianity. It openly connects gender dysphoria with occult experimentation, and both with unsupervised young people going deep into social media rabbit warrens.
I wrote in July about another profile exploring how TikTok promotes multiple personality disorders that approximate demonic possession. The Washington Post article also reinforces the connections between gender confusion and the demonic, immediately by noting that profile subject Viv Bennett “identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.”
Our country was founded as one nation under God, and our children used to be reminded of it every day. It used to be standard practice that when the school bell rang, children would stand up, face the American flag, place their right hand over their heart and say the pledge of allegiance. Each day they would speak the words “one nation, under God.” The symbolism was clear; we all stood united in our love of country and commitment to equality.
