Peter Nygard consents to be extradited to the U.S. to face charges

Peter Nygard has signed a consent form agreeing to be extradited to the United States to face charges there, Manitoba’s Court of Queen’s Bench heard Friday morning.

Scott Farlinger, a lawyer for the Attorney General of Canada, which is representing the U.S. government in this case, said Nygard can’t be surrendered for at least 30 days and has the right to appeal the surrender order.

He could also apply for judicial interim release or bail, Farlinger said.

Awww… Poor Trudeauville: New data shows downtown Toronto’s economic rebound lags behind GTA — and Canada overall

As politicians talk recovery and employers tentatively roll out back-to-office plans, Toronto’s downtown streets seem at times almost as ghostly empty as they were at the height of the pandemic.

And new data may point to a reason why: recovery in the city’s once bustling downtown core is lagging behind not just the GTA, but Canada overall.

Across the country, downtowns have struggled more in comparison to the other regions of Canada’s major cities, but the gap is widest in Toronto, said Marcy Burchfield, vice-president of the Economic Blueprint Institute, an initiative by the Toronto Region Board of Trade.

That’s God’s punishment for re-electing that punk.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservative government was operating within its legal powers when it cut the number of wards in Toronto in the middle of the 2018 municipal election, the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled.

In a 5-4 split decision, Canada’s top court said Ontario did not violate the Constitution when it cut the number of wards from a planned 47-ward system to 25 wards that would align geographically with provincial and federal ridings.

The director of one of the largest ports in the US warns the shipping industry is in ‘crisis mode’ as 66 cargo ships float off the California shore

A historic backlog of cargo ships in Southern California has left the supply chain and shipping industry in a crisis, Mario Cordero, the executive director of the Port of Long Beach, warned this week.

Cordero, who oversees one of the busiest ports in the country, advised people to start holiday shopping as soon as possible due to the disruptions in the supply chain. The port will move about 20 million containers this year, more than ever before, Cordero told Fox Business. Consumers will definitely feel the pinch, as companies across the board — from raw materials to durable goods, electronics, furniture, and auto parts — have been hit with shortages and delays.

The Plot to Destroy America

Andy Ngo explains in Unmasked that the BLM organization and Antifa operate in tandem and are run by Marxists who seek nothing less than to destroy America—its governments; its houses of worship; its monuments to historic figures; and its flag and national anthem. They also seek to destroy free enterprise and to replace the standard pedagogy in schools with Marxist Critical Race Theory, hoping to breed generations of Marxist revolutionaries to promote violent overthrow. These efforts endlessly manifest themselves across the nation in the looting and burning of businesses, government buildings, and churches; robbery; assaults; and murder. They are furthered by many Democrat District Attorneys, Mayors, and Governors.
