Diane Francis: Canada must be transparent about Wuhan lab ties

With evidence mounting that SARS-CoV-2 may have escaped from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government could find itself in a very awkward position if the American intelligence report ordered by U.S. President Joe Biden into the origins of the virus ends up uncovering previously undisclosed information about the connections between Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory and the Wuhan lab.

In 2020 alone, 264 police officers were killed in the line of duty, a staggering 96 percent increase from 2019.

The Establishment Strikes Back—For Now

Elites move to protect the public from itself.

If, as Bruno Maçães suggests in History Has Begun, American culture has devolved into a Hollywood plot, then we have reached that place in the story when the cattle baron torches the cabins of unwelcome settlers and the Death Star obliterates the pesky rebels’ planet. Having defeated Donald Trump and stumbled on new methods of control during the Covid-19 pandemic, the elites who run our institutions are out for vengeance. The establishment is striking back.

GOLDSTEIN: Canada’s relative debt fifth highest in industrialized world, report says

Canada’s relative debt load compared to other developed nations is far worse than the Trudeau government claims, according to a new study by the Fraser Institute released Tuesday.

It says while the Liberals’ boast that Canada had the lowest net debt to GDP ratio among G7 countries heading into last year’s pandemic recession, that falls to 25th place out of 29 nations with comparable economies when its gross or total debt is calculated compared to the size of the Canadian economy.

May 31, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A Catholic procession held Saturday in Paris to commemorate the killing in hatred of the faith of 10 priests and seminarists during the socialist insurrection of the “Commune” in 1871 was violently attacked by a group of communist activists and “antifas.”

‘Too much of a burden’: Chinese couples react to three-child policy

“When hearing the news today, my colleagues joked that unless the government rewards us with a flat and a degree for every single child we give birth to, the policy has nothing to do with us at all.

Chinese couples – especially women – are less willing to give birth these days. This is because the pressure is too high in today’s society. After giving birth, as a woman, you are not likely to return to work any time soon due to childcare. The more babies you have, the more you’ll have to sacrifice in your career.”

Black Lives Matter St. Paul Founder Says He ‘Resigned’ After Learning the ‘Ugly Truth’

A Black Lives Matter chapter founder in Minnesota has resigned, claiming that the organization isn’t concerned about helping black communities or helping improve the education quality in Minneapolis, according to a video published last week.

Rashard Turner, the founder of a Black Lives Matter chapter in neighboring St. Paul, said he started the branch in 2015 but became disillusioned roughly a year after becoming “an insider” within the left-wing organization, according to a video released by TakeCharge—a group that rejects various provisions promoted by Black Lives Matter, including critical race theory-linked claims that the United States is inherently racist.

Courts rule against race-based restaurant relief distribution

“In other words, if you happened to be a white, male restaurant owner, you were sent to the back of the line to hope that the fund wouldn’t be dried up by the time your turn came.

This led a few of the aforementioned white, male owners to go to court and ask for equal treatment. In a pair of cases decided in just the past week, it looks like the courts agree that such gender or race-based systems of distribution are unconstitutional. The appeals will continue, however.”

Biden Administration Rewards Terrorists: Abbas and Hamas

Biden Administration Rewards Terrorists: Abbas and Hamas

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s May 25 announcement that the Biden administration will ask Congress to allocate $75 million in aid to the Palestinians and that Washington will reopen the US Consulate in Jerusalem — which previously had served as a de facto embassy handling US relations with the Palestinians — is sending the wrong message to the leaders of the Palestinians.

First, these overtures signal to Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas that the US will support and lavish funding on any Arab leader who seriously abuses not only his own people but also his neighbors. This policy would also include leaders such as Vladimir Putin in Russia, Xi Jinping in China and “Supreme Guide” Ali Khamenei in Iran, as well as other despots.
