The truly multiracial coalition in the US these days isn’t the Democratic party. It’s the anti-Semitic mass movement that takes to the streets of blue-state cities every time Israel defends itself against terrorism.

Israel will no doubt survive the latest barrage of disapproval from people with a bottomless supply of personal pronouns and malicious memes. But this is a problem for American Jews today — and it will be all of America’s problem tomorrow, because the overrunning of the public square by anti-Jewish cranks and conspiracy theorists is a perennial warning sign of social breakdown.

‘Destroyed’: Survey finds Portland’s residents fearful of going to ‘trashed’ downtown

A number of residents in Oregon’s largest city are increasingly experiencing angst and unease about venturing downtown, saying it has become dirty, uninviting, and unsafe amid endless cycles of violence and protests, according to a newly released survey.

The poll, which was commissioned by The Oregonian/OregonLive, found that generally, Portlanders are going downtown less since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. And when asked to give their perception of the downtown area, some of the most common responses included “riots,” “sad,” “trashed,” and “destroyed,” OregonLive reported.

UK PM sends Army into Indian variant hotspots, presses on with reopening despite warning that strain could be 50% MORE infectious than UK mutant

Boris Johnson will send the Army into Britain’s worst hotspots of the Indian coronavirus variant to assist with surge testing as he presses ahead with reopening – despite dire warnings from SAGE that the strain is more infectious and risks a serious third wave.

The PM announced last night that Britain will press ahead with plans for indoor drinking and dining from next week, even while warning that there was ‘a real risk’ that the Indian variant could curtail further reopening in June.

Government scientists revealed in minutes released on Friday night that the variant could ‘realistically’ be 50% more infectious than the Kent strain, which models project could lead to 1,000 deaths a day, as well as 10,000 daily hospitalisations, by the summer.

In June of 2017, some madman opened fire on the Republican congressional baseball team as they practiced in Alexandria, Virginia. James Hodgkinson was the suspect. He was killed after being shot by Capitol Police who were protecting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who was the House Majority Whip at the time. Officers David Bailey and Crystal Griner were injured in the assault, along with four others.

Retired French Police Officers Join Troops Calling for Action to Prevent ‘Civil War’

A group of retired French police officers has issued a new open letter to President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Jean Castex, and the French Senate demanding safety for law enforcement and security for the citizens of France in general.

The petition, published on MesOpinions.com, a French petitions and surveys portal, was penned by 93 retired police officers, and solemnly asks the government “to do everything possible to put an end to the extremely serious situation that France is going through in matters of security and public tranquility.”

Signed by over 36,000 people, the petition suggests that the authority of the French state is being “undermined by violent minorities,” and that there are “lost territories” in France in which the laws of the Republic no longer apply.

Are White Americans Facing Discrimination?

Are white Americans being discriminated against? Some might be aghast at the idea that one might have such a thought, and, considering the historic discrimination that people of color have endured throughout American history, some might dismiss the thought as a foregone conclusion. However, I challenge those people to think about this idea newly. An increasing number of white Americans feel that they are being discriminated against. “Reverse racism,” as highlighted by researchers at Tufts University, reveals that America isn’t living in a “post-racial” society.

Why antiracism zealots are trying to silence black voices like mine

As a Christian minister, I’m used to being stifled when I talk about my religion outside of church. If I bring up faith in Jesus Christ, the guardians of the secular public square are quick to inform me that my religion is strictly a private matter.

But these days I’m stifled not because of the religion I practice but because of one I reject: the religion of antiracism, which is now the established church of academia, government, the media and business.

China uses Uyghur forced labour to make solar panels, says report

The global production of solar panels is using forced labour from China’s Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province, an investigation has found.

Xinjiang produces about 45% of the world’s supply of the key component, polysilicon, the research by the UK’s Sheffield Hallam University says.

It says the material is obtained under a massive system of coercion, a claim denied by the Chinese authorities.

The report urges top panel makers to source the component elsewhere.

Venezuela: Police raid last anti-Maduro newspaper

Venezuelan authorities seized the main offices of the anti-government El Nacional newspaper on Friday after the media organization failed to pay a $13 million (€10.7 million) fine related to a defamation ruling.

Venezuela’s Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) ordered the paper to pay the fine last month, ruling on a 2015 lawsuit against the outlet filed by Diosdado Cabello, a lawmaker and member of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
