The Biden Border Bonanza Cost Taxpayers $60 Million A Week To Shelter Migrant Children

Since the border crisis began after Biden assumed office, the administration commissioned at least 10 emergency shelters, some “converted oil worker camps and on military bases,” to accommodate the thousands of children crossing the border by themselves. Cities in border states such as Texas have turned convention centers into makeshift shelters for HHS and nonprofit organizations contracted by the government to use while others are forced to stay in tents, costing an extra $16 million per month.

Why Lefties Knifed Dr. Seuss – Part I

Liberals loved Dr. Seuss’s children’s books because the cartoonist and author, Theodor Suess Geisel, was one of them. He drew some cartoons in his youth, back in the early part of the 20th century, that became politically incorrect decades later. Still, the Left cared nothing about that until Melania Trump praised Dr. Seuss in 2017.

The Robots Are Coming

For many of us visions of the future have often included images of robots who can think on their own and perform tasks. In some visions, those robots were in a Jetson’s style universe with floating objects and robots who make our lives easier. For others, they envisioned a dystopian Terminator style landscape where robots are trying to kill us.

While these scenarios make for great TV’s and movies – the reality is much more nuanced, but still very exciting. We are seeing firsthand that robotic and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are becoming a regular part of our lives and our economy and we are all better off for it -that is if the politicians and cronies can get out of the way.

Sweet 16 birthday party crashed by COVID cops

Today we are covering another Fight The Fines case, and this one is truly bonkers. A family of 10 celebrating a Sweet 16 in Stoney Creek, Ont. had five police officers crash their “party” — I say “party” because if it’s just your family, is it really a party?

Toronto real estate board ditches term “master” bedroom over “offensive undertones”

The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) will be replacing the term “master” bedroom from all of its databases and its multiple listing service with the more politically correct term “primary” bedroom.

Liberal delegates endorse a universal basic income, reject capital gain tax hike

With 8.7 per cent of Canadians living below the poverty line and thousands more struggling to make ends meet, backers of this policy say a UBI would “ensure that communities at risk (including Indigenous peoples) are able to feel financially secure.”

Rhetorical question: Why did the CBC insert ‘including Indigenous peoples’?

Bill Gates, George Soros team up to create Orwellian nightmare organization focused on policing “disinformation”

The Aspen Institute Commission on Information (AICI) has been tasked with launching an effort to eliminate “misinformation” and “disinformation” from the internet, and none other than billionaire eugenicists Bill Gates and George Soros are funding the operation.

Study: Biden’s tax raises will cost U.S. one million jobs in first two years

The study found that in the first two years alone, the GDP of the United States would be slashed by $117 billion by 2023. Furthermore, investments in equipment and structures would be $80 billion less in the same period.

Radical Left’s Infrastructure Bill Wish List Includes Climate Change and Amnesty

The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) surveyed its 95 members, which include far-left members of the “Squad” — Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — and released a list of priorities the CPC as a whole is advancing at the current stage of infrastructure discussions. The list includes five key areas, which include beefing up government-run health care and tackling climate-related issues while providing amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.

Beware the Islamist Underbelly

Organizations with more than passing connections to terrorist groups remain largely free to operate in western nations.

Tucked away in the east of London, Store Street is just a short walk from the enormous Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, built for London’s triumphant hosting of the 2012 Games. The squat, unremarkable home in a cul-de-sac at number 32, however, lives in a rather more dangerous world. It is from here that, for many years, dozens of businesses and charities, controlled by British representatives of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, have been incorporated and managed.

What Should Be Done to Curb Big Tech?

A few billionaires currently have the power to decide that some Americans’ speech rights are more sacred than others. Clarence Thomas offers a remedy.

Do your eyes gloss over when you see the words “Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act”? Mine do.

Yet the subject of Big Tech’s might — Should Facebook have the power to ban a president? Should Amazon have the power to ban the sale of a controversial book? Should Twitter have the power to permanently bar a user over a single tweet? And if not, what should the government be doing about it? — is both fascinating and incredibly important.

What the left ignores in all these anti-Asian hate crimes

A professor named Liam O’Mara from Chapman University in California, who was also a candidate for a Riverside County congressional seat, tweeted a picture of a Ku Klux Klan hood to Candace Owens, which read, “Yikes. You may’ve dropped this.” This was because Miss Owens previously tweeted, “The #1 violent offenders against black people are other black people.”

Nightmares of My Father

It has been almost exactly 70 years since my father was assigned to a two-man bunker overlooking an anonymous ridge on the 38th Parallel in Korea. The purpose of these outposts was to act as a trip-wire in the event of a mass attack of Chinese troops. Several weeks prior to June 1951, members of Dad’s battalion had been ambushed while patrolling the front, an ambush that cost the lives of several Army soldiers. But they served their purpose: to alert the battalion bivouacked a quarter-mile behind the line.

Canada To Censor “Hurtful” Comments About Politicians, Implement Internet Kill-Switch

Canada To Censor “Hurtful” Comments About Politicians, Implement Internet Kill-Switch

Federal internet censors should target hurtful words against politicians, says Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault. The Minister added pending regulations may include an internet kill switch to block websites deemed hurtful, but called it a “nuclear” option.

“We have seen too many examples of public officials retreating from public service due to the hateful online content targeted towards themselves or even their families,” said Guilbeault.  “I have seen firsthand alongside other Canadians the damaging effects harmful content has on our families, our values and our institutions. As a dad and a stepdad to six kids, I know more can and should be done to create a safer online environment.”

Forensic analysis of Hunter Biden laptop by ex-FBI agent finds ‘no evidence’ of fake data

A forensic analysis reportedly determined the data found on the laptop believed to belong to Hunter Biden appears to be authentic.

Cyber forensic experts from Maryman & Associates were commissioned to examine thousands of text messages, emails, and photos on the laptop’s contents that were found on a copy of the hard drive obtained by the Daily Mail.

The review found the data on the system “before April 2019 appears to be related to Mr. Biden, with timestamps appearing to be between 2016 and 2019,” according to a report that culminated from the examination.

Rex Murphy: The facts in the WE scandal are clear. It’s not complicated

… The point here is plain. Why does it take months to make a ruling on what is, substantially, a very limited and understood question? Did Justin Trudeau’s engagements, his multiple appearances as a high-banner speaker at WE Day events, and his therefore obviously friendly relationship with Craig and Marc Kielburger, play any part in the decision, since abandoned, to pay the brothers’ WE Charity up to $43.5 million to run a program worth almost $1 billion? Were any other organizations consulted, offered an opportunity to apply for management of that program, or was WE plucked out because of its high profile with the prime minister? Was this a plain conflict of interest or the plain appearance of a conflict of interest, which in this context, are more or less the same thing?

All Signs Point to ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Being Woke Sequel

The fact that they are making yet another Indiana Jones film is bad enough, but to hear that Indy’s fifth outing may end up being a woke reboot is almost too much for us to bear.

According to the nerd outlet Bounding into Comics, the fifth Indiana Jones movie will also star leftwing British actress and Hollywood screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the same woman that vowed to make the upcoming James Bond flick a more inclusive, social justice-oriented outing.
