The ‘Biden Border Crisis’ Comes to the Big Apple

You could not blame Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams, or anyone else, if — as they remember the economic boom and global calm of the pre-Covid America of President Donald Trump — they were to cast their secret ballot in November for more of the “Trump Boom.”

US President Joe Biden’s disastrous Open Border policy has turned “sanctuary cities” into unrecognizable migrant camps, and New York City is at ground zero of this crisis. More than 110,000 migrants have been left off on Manhattan streets, more than twice as many as cities such as Los Angeles and Houston.

GOLDSTEIN: Jews don’t count at UN and this time Canada agreed

Only at the United Nations — and only about Israel — would the UN General Assembly call for a “ceasefire” in a war while disgracefully avoiding any mention of who and what started it.

Twice now — on Tuesday in passing a resolution calling for a “humanitarian ceasefire” in the Israel/Hamas war in Gaza — and back on Oct. 26 when it called for a “humanitarian truce” — the General Assembly deliberately avoided assigning any responsibility for the conflict to Hamas.

Turkish consulate in Canada was transformed into an intelligence hub, secret document reveals

A recently obtained classified document has confirmed that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, former chief of the notorious Turkish intelligence agency MIT, wasted little time in orchestrating a swift transformation of the Turkish diplomatic service into an extensive apparatus for collecting information and conducting espionage activities in foreign countries.

The document, stamped secret and dated October 19, 2023, reveals that Turkish diplomats in Canada collected information on a critic of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government and subsequently transmitted the information gathered to headquarters in Ankara.

Turkey has a long history of messing about in Canada and elsewhere.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu plans no WHITES holiday party for councilors

Could be why people look away when Blacks attack Asians

The Democratic mayor of Boston has sparked outrage after inviting city councilors to a holiday party intended only for ‘electeds of color.’

Michelle Wu’s invitation for the December 13 ‘Electeds of Color Holiday Party’ appeared to have been sent out to all councilors in error by her aide, Denise DosSantos.

DosSantos followed up the email 15 minutes later apologizing for the invite, clarifying that it was only meant for the city’s six councilors of color. The seven white council members were not welcome.

Canadians aren’t crazy to think that carbon pricing is hurting their pocketbooks

The Prime Minister told The Canadian Press that the Conservatives have unfairly but successfully scapegoated carbon pricing for why everything costs so much. But Justin Trudeau is better to look in the mirror as he examines Pierre Poilievre’s persuasiveness.

Why is the Conservative Leader’s “Axe the Tax” mantra so potent? First, because people stretched by mortgage payments and grocery costs are looking for clear and simple solutions – even though Mr. Poilievre’s answer might be far from complete.

The US government should tell the public what it knows about UFOs

It doesn’t matter the topic, there always seems to be a group of lawmakers who will stop at nothing to thwart government transparency – even when it’s a subject that could not be more bipartisan or in an obvious need for sunlight.

This time, a small cadre of powerful Republicans have reportedly killed a provision in this year’s defense authorization that would finally bring some transparency to the US government’s knowledge around UFOs (now also known by the updated parlance of “unidentified aerial phenomena”, or UAPs).

How the multi-billion dollar vegan bubble finally burst

The year began so optimistically. Veganuary was hailed a triumph with record numbers signing up all over the world – only the Vatican City and North Korea were missing from the list of countries where people committed to a meat-free start to the year.

Pope Francis famously loves a steak, so that was chalked up to a win. It was to be the year when our eating habits would shift, driven by a cost-of-living crisis that was sending meat and dairy prices soaring, coupled with a pressure to eat with one eye on the planet. By March, the plant-based picture was looking altogether less rosy.

First, Nestlé announced it was withdrawing its vegan ranges Garden Gourmet and Wunda from sale in the UK, saying the products were simply “not viable”. In May, it was the turn of British sausage company Heck, which announced it was reducing its range of meat-free products, citing a lack of consumer appetite.

Justin Trudeau has both good and bad reasons for turning his back on Israel

U.S. President Joe Biden may or may not have had Canada in mind when he warned this week that Israel is losing international support amid the soaring civilian death toll its army has wrought in Gaza.

Canadian foreign policy rarely catches Washington’s attention unless it involves some bilateral irritant that has upset one faction or another in Congress. But Canada’s move to join Australia and New Zealand in calling Tuesday for a “sustained ceasefire” in Gaza was likely noteworthy enough to be included in Mr. Biden’s daily intelligence briefing. Washington would surely have had advance notice of Canada’s evolving position; it may even have encouraged it.

The good reasons seem to be about appeasing and hopefully retaining the voter loyalty of “Canadian” Hamas supporters for the LPC.

Immigration – The Other I-Word Angering Voters Across The Western World

Believe it or not, there is something that might hurt President Biden’s re-election chances more than inflation. In the latest Wall Street Journal poll, twice as many respondents named immigration as the biggest issue in next year’s election as inflation. His disapproval on the border exceeded approval by 37 percentage points, compared with 36 points for inflation.

‘This Will Not Soon Be Forgotten’: Canada’s Backing of UN Ceasefire Resolution Divides Liberals, Angers Jewish Community

Jewish advocacy groups are criticizing Canada’s decision to back a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, with the country reversing its position held since the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.

“We’re disgusted and frankly shocked that only hours after issuing a statement that a ceasefire would only be possible under the condition that Hamas release the hostages, stop its use of Palestinians as human shields, lay down its arms, and surrender its control of Gaza, Canada voted in support of a UN General Assembly resolution supporting a ceasefire,” Shimon Koffler Fogel, president and CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) said in a statement Dec. 12.
