Enough Israeli hostages taken to swap ‘all Palestinian prisoners’ held in Israeli prisons, according to Hamas

Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chief of Hamas, who is based in Lebanon, told Al Jazeera news on Saturday that the Iranian-backed terrorist organization has taken enough hostages to “release all our prisoners,” referring to terrorists jailed in Israel.

“We managed to kill and capture many Israeli soldiers. The fighting is still on,” al-Arouri said.

“Our detainees in [Israeli] prisons, their freedom is looming large. What we have in our hands will release all our prisoners. The longer fighting continues, the higher the number of prisoners will become.”

How Biden’s tension with Secret Service goes back to his VP years when he skinny-dipped in front of female agents – and the dog biting has just made things worse

Joe Biden’s tension with his Secret Service detail goes back to his years as vice president when he made female agents uncomfortable by skinny-dipping in front of them but it’s gotten worse during his White House years after his German Shepherds bit several agents.

Biden’s new two-year-old dog Commander has bitten at least a dozen agents plus people who work in the White House residence, requiring some to get medical attention. And the first couple’s former dog Major was so aggressive and prone to biting that he was rehomed to friends in Delaware.

The Liberal Media Reaction to the New Israel-Hamas War Was Something Else

Blood? Raped?

Hamas attacked Israel in a coordinated attack whose sophistication was not lost on observers. It was an assault out of the ordinary for this group, with rocket attacks followed by an air, sea, and land attack by its terrorist operatives. Hamas used paragliders to enter Israeli territory

Merkava Tank crew captured.

Not sure any soldiers or civilians will see freedom unless a prisoner exchange is arranged.

Ukraine’s female soldiers complain of discrimination

Lesya Ganzha joined the Ukrainian army right at the start of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and was assigned to the infantry, serving in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.

“Unfortunately, the company commander is categorically anti-women,” said Ganzha, adding that she had wanted to switch to air reconnaissance in a different brigade of the army.

“I joined the army to defend Ukraine, to go into combat,” she stressed. She told DW she was repeatedly offered assignments in the hinterland, but finally managed to get into the air reconnaissance unit of a brigade in Donetsk.

Terry Glavin: As Israeli innocents are hunted and murdered, certain Canadian ‘progressives’ choose to celebrate

The savagery is mind-numbing.

A gleeful mob of young men spitting on the half-naked body of a dead woman in the back of a truck, paraded down a Gaza side street. Heaps of bloodied Jewish corpses in bomb shelters. People pulled from their cars and riddled with bullets. The streets of Israeli towns littered with dead innocents.

Foreign doctors take up more medical residency spots as Canadians struggle to get in

Canada has an acute shortage of doctors — a staffing crisis that is expected to get much worse in the years ahead as the number of residency positions on offer fails to keep up with rapid population growth.

Despite those challenges, roughly 1,000 Canadian doctors who went to school abroad are turned away every year because they can’t get residency spots in Canada, according to a CBC News review of medical school data. Physicians are required to go through a residency in order to be licensed to practice.

Canadian doctors who want to come home to work are routinely told it’s not possible because resources are limited and there are only so many residency positions to go around.

How an Israel music festival turned into a nightmare after Hamas attack

For weeks, excited music-lovers had looked forward to the Supernova festival, held in the desert in southern Israel to coincide with the Jewish festival of Sukkot.

“The time has come when the whole family is about to get together again,” organisers wrote on social media before it began. “And what fun it is going to be!”

Just hours later, their social media pages are now flooded with desperate people trying to find loved ones, after Palestinian militants stormed the festival and opened fire as part of huge surprise attack on Israel.

‘Squad’ reps blasted for calling for ceasefire following Hamas attack on Israel

Congressional “Squad” members were blasted for urging a ceasefire in the Middle East after Hamas fighters killed hundreds of Israelis Saturday in a shocking sneak attack that led Israel to launch retaliatory strikes.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other pro-Palestine reps condemned the cruel terror assault but also called for all violence to stop as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Israel was “at war.”

Israel should not stop until Gaza is rubble.

America’s Betrayal of Israel

I am writing this on Saturday, as news outlets report hundreds of Israeli dead, and dozens, if not hundreds, of soldiers and civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and taken into Gaza.

It is never a good idea to write anything as events are still rapidly unfolding, especially as neither I nor anyone else can answer the only question that ultimately matters—namely, “what happens now?” But we can answer another, much more rudimentary and no less urgent question: Who’s at fault?

Israel-Gaza conflict: who are Hamas and why are they attacking now?

From the moment the first group of black-clad fighters crossed the border fence from Gaza into southern Israel, it was clear that this was an extraordinary moment of success, however bloody and fleeting, for Hamas.

It was also clear that they could not have done it alone.

How could this have happened? How could a terrorist group operating in a 140-square-mile patch of land, hemmed in by Israeli and Egyptian blockades and the Mediterranean, break through and launch a brazen and effective attack on one of the best-funded and most developed militaries in the Middle East?

Adam Zivo: Former drug addict begs government to stop safer supply

For anyone who doubts that Canada’s safer supply experiment has been anything other than a disaster, I offer the story of Mark. It’s a must-read.

I was introduced to Mark, not his real name, by a B.C.-based addiction physician. Mark came from a good family and excelled in school and sports as a child, but was abused by a teacher and a family member at a young age, leading to lifelong anxiety issues that required therapy.

WARMINGTON: Some in Toronto celebrating mass murder of Israelis as death toll mounts

First Canada saw cheering for a Second World War Nazi-related Waffen SS soldier, now there’s jubilation in Toronto over the mass slaughter of innocent Israelis.

Most of the dead are believed to be Jewish – just like those exterminated in the Holocaust. But some here thought this was fantastic and went public to party about it.

Over 600 Israelis murdered in Hamas massacre,100 soldiers and civilians were kidnapped … and one guy called the invasion

Israel’s counterterrorism expert who predicted the Hamas invasion

A little over a month ago the former counter-terrorism adviser to two Israeli Prime Ministers authored a prescient essay, outlining an invasion of the Hamas terrorist movement into Israel.

The counter-terrorism adviser, Yigal Carmon, the founder and president of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), wrote on August 31 the “Signs Of Possible War In September-October.”

Carmon noted “There has also been an increase in efforts by Iran and Hezbollah to smuggle weapons into the West Bank, similar to the smuggling of weapons into Gaza.”

Israeli intelligence last week concluded Hamas would not launch a full invasion

Israeli officials falsely concluded that Hamas was not interested in provoking a full-scale war with Israel, it has emerged, as questions swirl over major intelligence failures that led to Saturday’s assault.

According to Haaretz, an Israeli Left-wing newspaper, an assessment by security services last week found that Hamas was eager “to avoid a full-fledged war with Israel”, with officials unaware of plans for the combined rocket assault and raids on the south.

The same assessment concluded that Hamas did not want to “jeopardise past achievements that bettered the lives of the Gazan residents”, Haaretz reported, referring to economic incentives offered by Israel to Gaza to ease tensions, such as work permits.

GOLDSTEIN: Despite carbon tax rebates, Canadians falling further behind

Says his kids punched him out

The good news for Canadians paying Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax is that the feds will send out their latest quarterly climate action incentive payment this week.

The bad news is that according to the independent, non-partisan parliamentary budget officer, most Canadians paying the federal carbon tax receive less in rebates than they pay in carbon taxes.
