We can hope.

Burger King sued over size of its Whopper burger

Burger King is being sued by unhappy customers who claim its flagship Whopper burger is too small.

Customers in a proposed US class action have accused Burger King of false advertising, saying pictures of its best-selling fast-food item make it look bigger than it actually is.

The case claims pictures portray the burger with ingredients that “overflow over the bun,” making it appear 35pc larger and containing more than double the meat actually served.

‘Getting squeezed on both sides’: Liberals a distant third among younger voters

The federal Liberals are seeing a dive in popularity among younger voters, once the core of their base, falling 23 points behind the Conservatives by the end of August, according to new polling from Nanos Research.

The data shows the Liberals in a distant third place for 18-29 year olds with 15.97 per cent, compared to the Conservatives and the NDP with 39.21 per cent and 30.92 per cent respectively.

That’s a harsh lesson. Kids supported Junior and watched their economic future turn to ashes.

The Revolt of Religious Parents in Montgomery County

A fight over a school curriculum has made strange bedfellows of Muslims, Christians, and Latter-Day Saints.

On Thursday, a Maryland district court sent a clear message to parents at Montgomery County Public Schools: you don’t get a say in what your kids read at school.

Or more specifically, as the court concluded, a parent’s right to opt out of a public school curriculum that “conflicts with their religious views is not a fundamental right.”

GREEN: Trudeau government’s anti-plastic crusade enters dangerous territory

Having banned some single-use plastics of convenience (straws, cutlery, etc.), the Trudeau government has turned its sights on plastics of necessity, including plastic films to keep foods isolated from contamination, protect them from pests and destructive oxidation, and help keep them cold, which is critical to preventing microbial contamination and spoilage.

This is a major turning point in the Trudeau government’s war on plastics, which incidentally fails on economic and environmental grounds. Even if its “Zero Plastic Waste by 2030” program was to work, it would prevent a paltry increase from 0.02-0.03% to 0.023-0.033% of global plastic pollution, an undetectable reduction of three-thousandths of 1% by the government’s own admission.

‘Alien hunter’ claims to have found material from outside solar system

Professor Avi Loeb says unusual meteoroid, named IM1, left interstellar metals in the Pacific Ocean

A controversial Harvard astrophysicist claims to have found material that “originated from outside the solar system” for the first time in history.

Professor Avi Loeb recovered fragments from the Pacific Ocean in June to determine whether they could prove an extraterrestrial artefact crashed there in 2014.

He has now provoked condemnation from peers for claiming that an early analysis suggests the deep sea discovery may have an “extraterrestrial” origin and could be proof of higher intelligence.
