Is Biden Encouraging America’s Enemies?

In normal circumstances, US policymakers would see the humiliation Russian President Vladimir Putin has suffered following the aborted mutiny against his administration as an opportunity to exploit the Kremlin’s weakness.

Russia, after all, still possesses the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, and Putin has on several occasions made specific reference to the possibility that Moscow might resort to using them when warning about the dangers of American interference in the Ukraine conflict.

Wagner: Russians reflect on group’s advance towards Moscow

Wagner troops enroute to Moscow

A week on from the dramatic mutiny by Wagner forces, residents in Rostov-on-Don – the city the mercenary troops seized – have been reflecting on the events that rocked Russia.

In just 24 hours, leader of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, staged an insurrection, sending troops into the city of a million people and further on towards Moscow.

Due to the current laws against criticising the so-called “special military operation” in Russia, the BBC has chosen to protect the identities of the citizens who spoke to us.

Fundraising for the family of a French police officer who shot dead a teenager has attracted more than €900,000 (£770,000), far more than a similar campaign for the victim’s relatives.
The biggest fund, set up by Jean Messiha, an independent right-wing populist, has raised €860,000 from just shy of 40,000 donors, and another run by the policeman’s colleagues has raised more than €50,000. About €150,000 (£128,000) has been pledged to the family of Nahel Merzouk, who was shot dead in his car at point-blank range on Tuesday in a killing that prompted six nights of rioting.

Feds Issued Security Bulletin Falsely Claiming Freedom Convoy Protesters Raiding Gov’t Buildings: Documents

During the Freedom Convoy protest that took place in downtown Ottawa in early 2022, Public Safety Canada issued a false bulletin claiming that protesters were ransacking federal office buildings, according to records obtained through an access to information request.

On June 5, Alexander Cohen, spokesman for Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, said the department had no involvement in the bulletin sent out by the Government Operations Centre, which is a division of Public Safety Canada.

Sounds more and more like a criminal conspiracy to deny human rights.

A top US intelligence officer claims World War II American forces retrieved a UFO that crashed in Italy in 1933 – and Italian researchers say they have the documents to prove it.

Former top National Reconnaissance Office staffer David Grusch shocked the world last month when he revealed he had blown the whistle in sworn testimony to Congress and government watchdogs, about an alleged secret US program that has obtained multiple ‘non-human’ flying saucers.

Growing number of homeless encampments leave smaller cities struggling to respond

In London, Ont., a city of about half a million people, hundreds are sleeping rough each night, many of them clustered in tents along the Thames River.

In Charlottetown, a 50-bed shelter opened in January, doubling the island’s total shelter capacity – but it’s still not enough, with the most recent end-of-year count identifying at least 114 people experiencing homelessness in the city.

Quadriplegic Canadian considers assisted suicide because approval is faster than getting benefits

Critics of euthanasia are sounding the alarm about Canada, Australia and the Netherlands, where assisted suicides are becoming easier to access for people who need help — not lethal injections.

The warning comes on the heels of revelations that the Netherlands euthanizes otherwise healthy people with autism, and as Australian officials debate whether to let children as young as 14 end their lives in the nation’s capital.

In Canada, with the world’s most permissive assisted suicide program, a quadriplegic woman has said she’s considering euthanasia because it’s easier to get than disability benefits.

A chain of German kindergartens has been banned from setting up “body exploration rooms” for young children to undress and play games.

The “doctor game”, in which children under the age of six examine or touch each other’s naked body parts, has been formally regulated in a growing number of nurseries around the country over the past decade.

Canada is paying ‘an enormous price’ for the Volkswagen battery plant. Is it worth it?

Auto industry analysts say Canada paid a big price to bring Volkswagen’s first North American electric vehicle (EV) battery plant to St Thomas, Ont., but whether that money will deliver lasting benefit to the economy is a matter of debate.

On Wednesday, parliamentary budget officer Yves Giroux released a report detailing his calculations.

Giroux said it would cost the public at least $16.3 billion to build the plant, $2.8 billion more than the federal government first announced in April because of the differences in U.S. and Canadian corporate tax rules. It’s expected production at the plant will start in 2027.

The Ardagh Group, one of the largest glass producers in the world, announced last week it was shuttering its Wilson, North Carolina, and Simsboro, Louisiana, plants on July 17. The Wilson plant employed nearly 400 people, and the Simsboro plant had 245 — all of whom now find themselves without jobs.
