Rapist Isla Bryson complains of transphobic abuse in male prison

The transgender rapist Isla Bryson has complained of being the victim of transphobic abuse in a male prison.

The double rapist, who was born Adam Graham, was moved to HMP Edinburgh after initially being sent to a women’s jail in January, causing a scandal which was seen as contributing to Nicola Sturgeon’s downfall.

The 31-year-old, in letters sent to a Sunday newspaper from behind bars, complained that the prison was “full of transphobic people” and revealed police had become involved as a result of abuse.

How Long Will Canada Burn?

The smoke is back. Large swaths of America are once again engulfed in a toxic haze that’s drifted down from Canada, which is experiencing its worst fire season on record. Our northern neighbor has burned through a record-breaking 8.2 million hectares so far this year, sending smoke plumes as far as Europe. And, despite the best efforts of hundreds of firefighting personnel who have come from all over the world to pitch in, the fires don’t look like they will be winding down anytime soon.

A backlash is building – and is rejecting LBGTQ extremism

Recent polling that shows most Americans strongly reject the radical left’s LGBTQ extremism. And a number of recent incidents also suggest that a backlash is building across the country, and especially among young Americans.

Affirmative action was hurting black students

Harvard may have a slightly more difficult time poaching black students from Boston College, Miami University of Ohio, or other less elite schools in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision invalidating Harvard’s racial admissions regime. Recruiters from BlackRock and Goldman Sachs may have to suffer the indignity of recruiting their black employees from the University of Connecticut or Rice University, rather than from Stanford and Yale. But contrary to the hysterical rhetoric from President Joe Biden, the Court’s dissenting Justices, and the democratic commentariat, the doors of educational opportunity will remain wide open to black people. As many black students as before will go to college, assuming that they want to. Colleges will be just as eager to have them, courting them in pre-college campus tours, showering them with scholarships and financial aid, hosting them in special orientations and swaddling them with diversity bureaucrats. Every college library, biology lab, and history and chemistry course will be as welcoming to black students as they were before and as they are to students of every other race and ethnicity.

‘What Is the Sin Committed by Christians?’: The Persecution of Christians, May 2023

“When I was little, Muslim children would spit on the Christian cross and kiss the Islamic crescent moon in front of us. We, the Christian children in the village, were called slaves and cockroaches…. The hatred towards our [Christian] communities may be less visible now, but it is still there. This is because Muslims know that the authorities are behind them…. [O]ne boy taught other Muslim children to say ‘kill the infidels.'” — palnws.be, June 28 2023, Turkey.

Chicago Police Raided at Least 21 Wrong Houses

Chicago police raided the wrong house at least 21 times between 2017 and 2020, according to an inspector general report released this week, but shoddy record keeping means the true number is unknown.

The Chicago Office of Inspector General released its final report Wednesday on the Chicago Police Department’s (CPD) search warrant policies, concluding that CPD’s inadequate record keeping made it impossible to count or fully analyze wrong-door raids. The records the inspector general did get, however, showed that inexperience and failures to do basic investigative work contributed to botched raids.
