‘Last Time I Sucked Something That Tiny It Got Stuck Between My Front Teeth’: JK Rowling Tells Off Hater

JK Rowling responded to an internet troll by slamming his penis size in a ruthless tweet Friday.

The situation began when Rowling posted a message to Twitter, congratulating Maya Forstater on a judgement she won Friday against her former employer. Forstater lost her job in 2019 after expressing her tweeting that “men cannot change into women.” Rowling’s subsequent defense of Forstater made her a prominent target for transgender rights activists.

Ontario teachers could be the ones doing the learning as cursive makes mandatory return to curriculum

Though many in Ontario have welcomed the reintroduction of cursive to the province’s curriculum, some educators say translating that to the classroom could be easier said than done for a generation of teachers that may have missed out on learning the skill of writing by hand themselves.

While the majority of provinces require students to learn cursive, it isn’t mandatory in some regions. In British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Northwest Territories and Yukon, for example, it’s up to teachers to decide whether or not to include it.

Teachers have better things to do, like encouraging children to mutilate their sexual organs.

Why Canada’s Attempt to Save Journalism May End Up Crushing It Instead

On June 22, the Canadian Parliament passed Bill C-18, also known as the Online News Act. The new law, according to a government news release, “will require the largest digital platforms”—in effect, calling out Facebook, Instagram, and Google without naming them—“to bargain fairly with Canadian news businesses for the use of their news content.” The intent here is to even out the skewed market imbalance between Canadian journalism and Big Tech platforms, many of which have offered distribution pathways and occasional payment agreements to digital news sites while also sapping them of revenue from native advertising—a sector dominated by those very corporations.

She couldn’t find a rental in N.L. So she spent 2 years living in a 20-foot RV

For two years, Kathryn Hewlett’s entire life has been packed into a 20-foot-long vehicle. She has a small bed, a bathroom, a stove and a dining table cramped within feet of each other.

She’s constantly roaming, looking for the next place to park. While she’s grateful to have a roof over her head, she wants a stable place she can call home.

“It’s come to this point where I can’t continue psychologically, I can’t continue doing this as I’ve been doing for two years” said Hewlett, who is originally from Pennsylvania and currently lives in an RV full-time in Newfoundland and Labrador

After my banking travails, I fear Britain is lost

When moving around London this week, it’s been impossible not to notice a symbol adorning the premises of many of our corporations, including the banks: the multicoloured Pride flag. We are living through the politicisation of our corporate sector. Woe betide you if you do not conform with its worldview.

This was brought home to me when I was recently told by my bank that it is closing all my accounts without explanation. It is impossible to function without a bank account. It should alarm everybody that a bank has the power to punish those it considers to have erred or strayed.
