Terry Glavin: Erin O’Toole — the man China wanted to take down

Right through the 2021 federal election campaign, senior Trudeau government officials knew that the Chinese government and its operatives in Canada were running a sophisticated disinformation and voter suppression campaign targeting the Conservative Party and its candidates, former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole told me on Tuesday.

That much was clear from the briefing the Canadian Security Intelligence Service made available to him last Friday, O’Toole told me. But what remains unclear is why none of these officials said anything — and that’s just one key question that remains unresolved following last week’s report on Beijing’s election-interference operations by “independent special rapporteur” David Johnston.

This revelation should result in arrests except we’re ruled by corrupt men.

Parents Push Back on Pride Month in Ontario Schools

The recent decision by a Catholic school board in Ontario’s York Region not to fly the pride flag during Pride Month in June is emblematic of a province-wide call to halt flag-raisings and other events expected in schools throughout the month.

Many parents are looking at pulling their children out of school during such events. A national walk-out is scheduled for June 1 and gaining traction.

Ukraine takes plea for more weapons directly to Canada’s defence sector

Ukraine’s defence minister bypassed the Canadian government Wednesday and took his country’s plea for more sophisticated weapons directly to Canada’s defence manufacturers.

Through a video statement, Oleksiy Reznikov told the audience assembled for Canada’s largest defence exposition that his country has urgent military equipment needs that must be filled.

“Hence, we count on Canada’s long-term support in this area,” Reznikov told the Canadian Association of Defence and Security’s (CADSI) annual trade show (CANSEC).

Breadcrumbs From A Buried FBI Source May Lead To A Bigger Biden Scandal

After a confidential human source claimed then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions, FBI agents used what’s called an FD-1023 form to record the allegation. Now FBI Director Christopher Wray is defying a May 3 congressional subpoena to provide this form. On Tuesday, in response to Wray’s refusal to hand over the documents, Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer announced the House will move to hold the FBI director in contempt of Congress.

Corruption, pollution and exploitation: the fallout from China’s push into Africa

The Hill Station Club in Freetown was once the beating heart of Britain’s colonial community in Sierra Leone. It was here, in a raised clearing high above the city, that officials would unwind over gin and tonic and marvel at a panoramic view of the lush forest below.

These days, the club stands in disrepair. Its ornate metal railings are rusted and decayed, while the underside of the roof is littered with holes. The building has become just another relic of the British Empire; a symbol of power and influence lost.

Today in Sierra Leone – and much of the rest of Africa – there is a new player in town: the People’s Republic of China.

NASA unveils first findings from study into unidentified craft in our skies AND oceans – as Pentagon chief admits ‘metallic orbs’ have been seen ‘all over the world’

Unidentified metallic orb UFOs have been spotted ‘all over the world’, a Pentagon chief admitted today during NASA’s first-ever public hearing into the phenomenon.

Physicist Dr Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), said: ‘We see these [‘metallic orbs’] all over the world, and we see these making very interesting apparent maneuvers.’

Dr Kirkpatrick presented AARO’s latest findings to NASA’s independent team of scientists and other experts who have been tasked with studying the UFO phenomenon — which has become increasingly less stigmatized following several high-profile congressional hearings and military sightings.

NASA’s UAP Task Force Conference Summary – 31/05

  • NASA UAP report being released in the summer
  • Their (NASA & AARO) updated UAP definition (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) doesn’t only aerial UAP. Which likely means USO investigations are happening.
  • They said the scientists and panelists have been getting harassment from other academics in the science community, and alluded to government harassment (Kirkpatrick hinted at this too)
  • NASA are studying unclassified data specifically so they can communicate their findings to the public
  • Origins to a lot of UAP sightings are still unclear

The emerging term is “Soft Disclosure.” Many are saying that this conference and the ongoing study are a big step forward. A form of gentle familiarization versus shock reveal. I am not so sure the world would be turned upside down if UFO’s were shown to be real.

Stellantis Bribe Likely to Exceed Volkswagen Boondoggle

Stellantis NV is likely to receive more in subsidies for a new electric-vehicle battery plant in Canada than the C$13 billion ($9.5 billion) Volkswagen AG extracted for a similar project, according to an expert who has crunched the numbers.

Stellantis and South Korean partner LG Energy Solution Ltd. announced the factory in Windsor, Ontario last year, but have halted construction while they negotiate more financial aid from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government. The companies are seeking the equivalent of what they would receive under the Inflation Reduction Act if they located the plant in the US.

New Russian malware could bring down the US power grid

As if you didn’t have enough to worry about. Who will bring down America’s power grid first? Joe Biden or Vladimir Putin? Biden has a head start, to be sure. But some Russian hackers have reportedly cooked up some new malware designed specifically to target electrical grids and cause disruptions. The new threat was discovered by Mandiant, a cyber threat intelligence specialist firm. They believe that this new malware system “poses a plausible threat” to the operational technology behind various electrical grid assets. (Security Week)
