More Proof Your SUV Won’t Cause the Earth to Become a Burning Ball of Fire

In light of increasing hysteria from climate activists, including a recent idiotic demonstration at the Trevi Fountain, it seems to be a good time to go back to hard data. A study last year found that atmospheric carbon caused by fossil fuels has been too low to cause global warming, as climate dogmatists claim. The earth is not about to become a burning ball of fire because you drive an SUV.

Parents ‘horrified’ as TDSB researcher accused of plagiarism

Parent groups called on Education Minister Stephen Lecce to conduct a provincial review of the Toronto District School Board after a researcher allegedly plagiarized parts of a report on its specialty programs and schools.

TDSB – Rotten to the core

A review of TDSB research supporting a lottery for programs focused on arts, math, science and technology was conducted by University of Toronto economics professor Marcin Peski, who alleged that parts of the report were misleading and plagiarized and contained false citations and quotes from non-existent sources.

Not the first time the incompetents at the TDSB have been caught.

‘People wanted to believe the fairytale’: the downfall of Elizabeth Holmes

Elizabeth Holmes will find herself behind the walls of a Texas prison on Tuesday, in a remarkable fall for a startup founder who had become an icon known far outside Silicon Valley.

Holmes, 39, had once promised to revolutionize the medical world, but was convicted in January 2022 on four counts of defrauding investors in her blood-testing company, Theranos.

It was a stunning turn for an entrepreneur who had once riveted the tech world. Holmes dropped out of Stanford University in 2003 at the age of 19, set on developing a company that would turn upside down the field of medical diagnostics.

Canada Must Strengthen the Nation-State and Stop Eroding Its Sovereignty: Brian Peckford

… “The most successful governance system for people in the world is the nation-state,” Peckford said, receiving applause from the audience of over 200.

“This business to try to put us into some kind of international organization is full of you-know-what. It cannot be allowed to happen. Canada has got to stop joining or signing anything which in any way dilutes their sovereignty and our sovereignty,” he said.

How big are Canada’s carbon emissions? Compared to China, we’re a rounding error

… The average G7 leader, to say nothing of the average G7 citizen, may be under the impression that this confab, with Canada sat in the seventh seat, is the club of the world’s most powerful countries and a kind of alternative global government. It isn’t. The G7 speaks for only a fraction of the Earth’s population. It also accounts for well under half the world’s economic output, a share that is steadily falling.

And when it comes to greenhouse gases, the G7′s contribution is surprisingly small. Small, and shrinking.

Malaysia detains Chinese ship suspected of looting British WW2 wrecks

Malaysia has detained a Chinese-registered vessel suspected of looting two British World War Two shipwrecks.

The bulk carrier was seized on Sunday for anchoring illegally at the site in the South China Sea.

Ammunition believed to be from the HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse, which were sunk by Japanese forces more than 80 years ago, was then found on board.

The UK Ministry of Defence had earlier condemned the alleged raid as a “desecration” of maritime war graves.

Quebec students tear down, trample school ‘pride’ flag in protest of LGBT agenda

A crowd of students recently protesting the LGBT agenda in a Quebec school tore down and trampled a rainbow “pride” flag.

Last week, a group of teenagers from the Chêne-Bleu Secondary School in Pincourt, Quebec cheered as one of their fellow students tore down a flag representing the LGBT agenda, supporting the act of defiance by trampling the flag once it was no longer flying.

And…

Note – Google Translate … This event is far from isolated and tends to grow. According to TVA Nouvelles , students from two high schools in Estrie protested against the day against homophobia and transphobia. At the Phare International School, a petition was launched to remove LGBTQ+ symbols and young people tore down posters and flags. The CSSRS has confirmed that measures have been taken with regard to the offending students. At La Frontalière secondary school in Coaticook, students dressed in black instead of the colors of the rainbow. Sanctions have been imposed and the CSSHC has assured that awareness-raising actions will be carried out.

More than half of condo investors are losing money — and that’s going to hurt renters

Higher interest rates are pushing the GTA’s new construction condo market to a tipping point, says a new joint report by market research firm Urbanation and CIBC Capital Markets.

For the first time, more than half of the investors who bought pre-construction units as rental properties were losing money last year.

It’s creating a scenario that could jeopardize demand for new units and potentially exacerbate the region’s housing crisis, warns the report published Monday.

There are at least 9 new condo’s proposed for construction in my neighborhood all within a 2 -3 KM radius, 3 are across the street, not to mention the geared to income rentals the city is proposing. Will any be built? No idea, especially in light of a commie regime at city hall. K and I moved into the 1st completed building nearly 20 years ago, time flies.
