CBS: Eating Bugs a ‘Game-Changer’ in Fighting ‘Climate Change’

CBS has declared that adding insects to the general public’s food supply is a “game-changer” in the so-called fight against “climate change.”

Radical “climate change” activists and globalist elites have been promoting claims that replacing traditional meats with bugs in the human diet is a solution to meeting the radical goals of the green agenda.

Ontario elementary teachers experiencing more violent behaviour from students, survey finds

More than half of Ontario’s elementary school teachers and support workers say they have experienced an attempt of violence against them this academic year, according to a new survey.

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO), the largest education union in the country, recently surveyed more than 76,000 members on workplace violence. About 32 per cent of members responded to the survey.

No amount of money is going to fix the unfortunate home environment that creates the majority of these kids.

Zero tolerance for violence policy works.

Perhaps a bit more focus on the 3R’s as opposed to racial victimhood indoctrination and Drag Queen grooming would help too.

Flemish Survey: Vlaams Belang Reigns Supreme

Flanders’ political center has bled out. In its place, two blocs—one right-wing, composed of Vlaams Belang and N-VA, and another left-wing (Vooruit and PVDA)—have emerged.

That is at least the scenario painted by a yearly political survey, this time conducted one year before the 2024 elections.

Simply put, compared to the 2019 elections, Flanders’ electoral landscape is to undergo a radical transformation.

For the two traditional centrist parties, CD&V and Open VLD, matters look grave. According to the survey, both would suffer major losses, as they dip below 10%. Taken together, they are at risk of losing 10 percentage points of the total vote compared to 2019.

Two solitudes emerging on immigration in Quebec

Quebec sovereigntists were buzzing last week as if they’d found an issue to breathe new life into their cause: the federal government’s expanded immigration targets.

Actually, it’s not really new: Ottawa’s plan to increase the number of immigrants to 500,000 a year by 2025 was released more than six months ago.

The Trudeau government may not have officially adopted the Century Initiative’s goal to increase Canada’s population to 100 million but they’re working on it just the same.

Neither the CPC or NDP will raise the issue out of fear of being labeled “racist” and a need to please the corporate class.

Stellantis stops construction on Windsor, Ont., EV battery plant – VW Sized Handout Of Tax Payer Cash Likely Needed Says Ford

Doug Ford warns Trudeau government needs to ‘step up’ with subsidies for auto giant Stellantis

As Stellantis halted construction on its massive Windsor battery factory, Premier Doug Ford warns Ottawa has to “step up” to match subsidies given to Volkswagen in St. Thomas.

The Star revealed Friday the federal government is renegotiating with Stellantis — parent company of Chrysler, Jeep and Fiat — because the company is threatening to relocate its new electric-vehicle facility to the U.S. unless it receives the same payouts VW received.

Stellantis stops construction on Windsor, Ont., EV battery plant

One of the world’s largest automakers has stopped construction on an electric vehicle battery plant in Windsor, Ont., saying the federal government has not delivered on what was promised.

Stellantis, which makes Chrysler, Ram and Fiat cars among others, and South Korean battery-maker LG Energy Solution announced the $5-billion plant last year and said it was expected to create 2,500 jobs.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he is worried and the federal government needs to support Stellantis in the same way it did Volkswagen.

Why worry Dougie? It’s not your money.

Leaks Reveal Another Side to Zelensky

Leaked Pentagon documents have revealed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had planned “behind closed doors” to, among other things, occupy Russian cities and blow up a vital crude oil pipeline between Russia and Hungary, a NATO member.

The leaked intelligence papers, which had not been previously disclosed, include correspondence between Zelensky and top government officials that revealed that the Ukrainian head of state proposed blowing up the Druzhba oil pipeline in order to render the Hungarian infrastructure which relies on Russian oil inoperable, The Washington Post reports.

Self-checkout machines now ask for tips

Consumers already contending with a squeeze on their bank accounts due to inflation are now facing more pressure as businesses introduce new tipping features at self-checkout machines.

Companies, including airports, bakeries, coffee shops and sports stadiums, have now introduced the self-serve tipping option, where customers can leave tips including the typical 20%, despite facing minimal to no interaction with any employee, according to a recent report by The Wall Street Journal.

Trudeau government allows Communist China to decimate domestic plywood manufacturing industry

Canadian plywood makers seek duties as cheap Chinese rivals carve out half the market

It’s been years since Carlos Zarate and others in Canada’s decorative plywood industry started telling the federal government about a growing problem in their business.

The president of the Canadian Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association warns of an industry in decline, but not due to falling demand for things like kitchen cabinets, decorative wood panels, furniture, and other non-structural wood products.

Zarate, who’s also president of Industrie Ergie Inc. in Victoriaville, Que., said the association’s members have seen their market share in Canada drop because they are unable to compete with plywood products imported from China at prices domestic producers could never hope to match, let alone beat.

Yet another example of Trudeau serving the interests of the China Class.

Polling shows Chow leading Toronto mayoral race as candidates prepare to square off in tonight’s debate

Olivia Chow continues to grow her significant lead in the polls, while she and other top candidates prepare to square off tonight in the first major debate ahead of Toronto’s mayoral by-election next month.

A Forum Research poll conducted on Saturday found that 36 per cent of decided and leaning voters favoured Chow, up three percentage points from last weekend, when Forum conducted a similar poll over a two-day period.

I get the city is coming apart at the seams and people want answers but this is collective madness.

Chow’s election will be like pouring gasoline on a fire. Nothing will get better except the pocketbooks of Olivia’s toxic-left friends.

Communism has never worked people and yes its been tried. Olivia is unsuited for public office having solicited support from Xi’s people in Toronto. The ones who ran Communist China’s TO police stations.

China tightens stranglehold on Latin America and Caribbean… as Biden dithers: Generals warn that Beijing has built a SPACE STATION in Argentina that could blind US, signed 21 countries up to trade pact and bought key ports on Panama Canal

Joe Biden – He ain’t in charge of anything except Window Licking

As headlines about the frosty relationship between China and the United States are dominated by spy balloons, Taiwan and botched attempts at diplomacy, commanders in the Pentagon are increasingly worried by a more insidious threat: Beijing’s growing stronghold on Latin America.

From tens of billions of dollars in funding for key infrastructure projects across the region to its own secretive, military-run space station in Argentina that could target American satellites, China’s presence has grown.

Some 21 countries in Latin America are signed up to Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative – a defining policy introduced by President Xi Jinping in 2013 that wins power and influence by funding global infrastructure projects.

The overbudget Trans Mountain pipeline project is carrying $23B in debt — and needs to borrow more

The overbudget Trans Mountain expansion project owes its lenders at least $23 billion and is looking to take on more private debt as the federal government shuts its wallet and construction costs skyrocket.

CBC News has reviewed newly released documents from Trans Mountain and another federal government entity. They show the expansion project is burning through cash and needs to borrow billions of dollars more to finish the work, which the company says was almost 80 per cent complete as of March.

“The business is significantly leveraged with debt,” Trans Mountain’s updated corporate plan says.
