Care about climate change? Support nuclear power

Knee-jerk opposition to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s sensible position in support of nuclear power, as Canada decreases its use of fossil fuel energy, drives home a basic point about the more radical elements of the environmental movement.

While they profess to love the planet, they hate the people on it, believing it would be far better for life on earth if there were a few billion less of us around to pollute it.

Inside America’s Satanist movement

The largest gathering of Satanists in history is taking place in Boston this weekend. It’s not open to the public. Or, to be more precise, no longer open to the public. That’s because all the tickets have been sold.

The second annual SatanCon is being organised by The Satanic Temple or ‘TST’, the world’s biggest Satanic sect, at the Marriott Hotel in Copley Square. That’s the same Marriott chain founded by a devout Mormon family who, back in the 1960s, only agreed to serve alcohol to guests after securing permission from the president of the Church of Latter Day Saints. As recently as 2018, it advertised its faith by placing 300,000 copies of the Bible and the Book of Mormon in its guest rooms. Now it’s ushering Satanists into its hospitality suites. Is it possessed?

‘Appalling’: Unearthed Documents Reveal How Hospital Pushes Medical Transitions On Children

Seattle Children’s Hospital encourages medical professionals to offer swift biomedical interventions as the default treatment for young patients with gender identity issues, even when parents are skeptical, and largely avoids recommending mental health services to gender dysphoric youth, according to documents published by the hospital.

The hospital, which recently attracted criticism for advertising transgender surgical procedures for minors, published several guides to instruct medical professionals on their treatment decisions regarding “gender affirming medical care” for youth. The guides promote puberty blockers and menstrual suppression drugs for young patients, do not list mental health screenings as a necessary step before medications are administered and instead indicate that mental health treatments are optional and must be sought externally.

Why did so many doctors become Nazis? The answer may be found in the sick fetish for sexually mutilating children.

The Chinese Communist Party’s Secret Projects in the US: What Is Going On?

In 2018, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) celebrated “Michigan-China Week” to highlight the growing economic ties between Michigan and China. At the time, Michigan already had more than 300 Chinese companies located in the state, with more than $4 billion in investment, supporting roughly 6,000 jobs. MEDC wanted to publicize this story in its bureaucratic hopes that more Chinese businesses would follow.

Leigh Finke – child molestation fan

“I’m not quite sure whether the bill is totally dead or not, because nothing is until the legislature adjourns. We do know that the GOP managed to get the language normalizing pedophilia stripped out of the bill in a vote yesterday.”

NYC trip another in long list of Trudeau bad judgments

So while our Armed Forces in CFB Petawawa are showering in cold water, and Canadians who need to travel cannot get passports renewed because of 150,000 federal civil servants out on their second week of striking (asking for more in their guaranteed-for-life jobs than most Canadians will dream of ever earning), our prime minister is saddling up his private taxpayer-paid jet to spend a few hours at an exclusive reception hosted by film stars and rock legends in Manhattan.

Bud Light to spend ‘heavily’ on marketing blitz after Dylan Mulvaney disaster

Bud Light is planning a major marketing blitz after its sales got slammed by an ill-fated partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — and the company is promising beer distributors there won’t be another screwup, The Post has learned.

At a closed-door meeting this week in Washington, DC, Anheuser-Busch executives told US beer distributors they will “spend heavily on the brand after spending fell off a cliff last year,” Benj Steinman, editor of Beer Marketer’s Insights, told The Post.

You pay PSAC’s salary while they strike

Only in Ottawa’s world: Go on strike and still get paid

The pain from the national strike by federal public servants is escalating from irritation to significant disruption as the labour dispute grinds on through a second week, with no sign that the two sides are close to a compromise.

But one group is likely to be insulated from any major hardship: the striking workers themselves. A combination of rickety payroll technology, bureaucratic inflexibility and clumsy bargaining by the government means that many – perhaps most – of the 100,000 or so striking workers will still receive their regular pay in two weeks.

Is Canada’s subsidy of Volkswagen EV battery plant ‘corporate welfare’ or a once-in-a-lifetime investment?

It’s fair to say that the outpouring of corporate subsidies by Canadian governments is without precedent in recent times. We should talk about that. Is it a wise use of public money?

The latest flashpoint for criticism of that largesse is the recently announced $7 billion electric vehicle (EV) battery plant, subsidized by governments, that Volkswagen AG plans to build in St. Thomas, Ont.Is Canada’s subsidy of Volkswagen EV battery plant ‘corporate welfare’ or a once-in-a-lifetime investment?

Volkswagen announces $20 billion effort to build its own EV batteries

… Starting in 2023, VW plans to roll out a new unified prismatic cell design of its batteries that will be installed across the automaker’s brands. The goal is to have this unified cell design powering up to 80 percent of VW’s electric vehicles by 2030. VW also has contracts with two other major battery producers, Samsung and CATL (Communist China Owned). And the company is backing a startup based in San Jose, California, QuantumScape, which is working on more energy-efficient solid-state batteries.

Free Money is always attractive but I bet  Canadian production never reaches Trudeau’s hyped up numbers and VW will hightail it to Mexico at the changeover to Solid State.

Tucker Carlson’s Vulgar, Offensive Messages About Colleagues Helped Seal His Fate at Fox News

Several weeks ago, as Fox News lawyers prepared for a courtroom showdown with Dominion Voting Systems, they presented Tucker Carlson with what they thought was good news: They had persuaded the court to redact from a legal filing the time he called a senior Fox News executive the c-word, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Carlson, Fox News’s most-watched prime-time host, wasn’t impressed. He told his colleagues that he wanted the world to know what he had said about the executive in a private message, the people said. Mr. Carlson said comments he made about former President Donald Trump—“I hate him passionately”—that were in the court documents were said during a momentary spasm of anger, while his dislike of this executive was deep and enduring.
