Joe Rogan says Brian Stelter ‘basically a prostitute’ for hosting Davos panel

Joe Rogan shredded fired CNN anchor Brian Stelter, labeling him “a prostitute” for hosting a panel on disinformation at the World Economic Forum in Davos last month.

Stelter, who was fired last year from his longtime gig as host of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” surfaced in the Swiss ski town where the world’s elite gather every year.

Torontonians split over whether John Tory should resign as mayor, poll says

Torontonians are evenly split on whether Mayor John Tory should follow through on his plan to resign after admitting to starting a secret, extended relationship with a junior staff member in his city hall office.

A Forum Research poll of 1,042 Torontonians found 45 per cent do not think he should quit, 43 per cent think he should quit, and 11 per cent do not know.

The poll conducted Tuesday has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points 19 times out of 20, putting the difference between those for and against Tory resigning within that margin of error.

Spendthrift GG shuts down social media comments, citing rise in ‘violent threats’

Indian name means “Put it on the tab”

OTTAWA—Canada’s first Indigenous Governor General is reporting a rise in “violent threats” amid what her office described as increasingly racist, misogynist and abusive interactions online.

A statement posted on Gov. Gen. Mary Simon’s Twitter account says her office will no longer allow the public to comment on her social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter. This will “ensure that all those who consult our information can do so in an environment that is respectful to all,” the statement says.

Progressive Good Intentions Run into Big Government in San Francisco

San Francisco is stuck between a rock and a hard place: Progressive good intentions are running up against big government.

It’s no secret that it’s difficult to get new buildings approved in San Francisco, and if they are approved, they are expensive to build. It turns out that same principle applies to the latest progressive policy innovation to help the homeless.

Opinion: Canadian women want more children than they’re having

“Where are all the children?” My three-year-old recently asked this after we arrived at the park. Fair question, kid. All too often the swings hang empty, pot shops have replaced ice cream parlours and stores are void of little feet. Though low fertility gained some attention during COVID, when fertility fell even further, we mostly avoid the topic or assume the long-term decline is a good thing.

There’s new information about who’s really in charge of Joe Biden

Most people watching Joe Biden believe that he’s a puppet who says and does what he’s told. He seems to be a “useful idiot,” as the 20th century’s communists would have said. The big question, then, is who’s really in charge in the White House? Barack Obama? Valerie Jarrett? Nope, a Bloomberg report intimates. It’s really Jill Biden, and she intends to see her decrepit husband run again.

Wakanda Forever borrows from Wagner Group playbook

The film’s anti-French tropes lean into Russian militia group’s propaganda

This weekend, a clip from the Hollywood film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, tweeted out by French journalist Jean Bexon, went viral. It depicts a group of rapacious French mercenaries humiliated and forced to take the knee in front of the United Nations for attempting to loot an African country’s natural resources. The country is fictional, but the parallels were clear enough for the French Minister of Defence Sébastien Lecornu to “strongly condemn this false and deceptive representation of [France’s] armed forces.”

The real reason Zelensky wants the West’s jets

As the battlefront news for Ukraine turns grim, with even the New York Times conceding that “Ukrainians in [the] East” are “outnumbered and worn out,” the hope, as usual, is that a magic weapon will save the day.

We have seen many such invocations in the last twelve months: Javelin anti-tank missiles, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, M777 Howitzers, HIMARS long-range precision missile launchers, assorted Western tanks. All have been hailed in their time as potentially tipping the balance against Putin’s hordes. None have succeeded, or, in the case of as yet undelivered tanks, are likely to succeed, in altering the fundamental military balance in the war, though they contribute much to the balance sheets of the relevant Western arms corporations. Now the embattled Zelensky is calling for “wings for freedom,” jet fighters that will “close the sky,” according to one of his advisors, helping to “destroy practically any target in the air or on the ground.”

Berlin University Tells Students Not to Call Cops on Sex Offender.

Leftism is at war with reality: women are men, men are the first female admirals and champion female swimmers, Old Joe Biden is competent, capable and coherent, drag queens are suitable entertainers for primary school children, and on and on and on. But every war has its casualties, as Leftists are learning these days at Free University in Berlin. A sex offender has been running wild and harassing women there for weeks, but the university has warned the victims not to call the police. The reason why they shouldn’t is as obvious as it is outrageous: the sex offender is a migrant, so calling the cops on him would be “racist.”

Fears of renewed FBI abuse of power after informant infiltrated BLM protests

The FBI’s use of an informant to infiltrate Black Lives Matter in Denver during the wave of protests over the 2020 police killing of George Floyd has prompted concern in Congress that the federal agency is once again abusing its powers to harass and intimidate minority groups.

Ron Wyden, the Democratic senator from Oregon, is calling for the FBI to explain how it came to recruit a violent felon as an informant who then went on to gain prominence among Denver racial justice activists. The informant is alleged to have encouraged protesters to engage in increasingly violent demonstrations while trying to entrap them in criminal misdeeds.

Given the free hand BLM was granted by authorities to loot and burn cities across the US it would seem the Deep State was an avid participant.

Is the eco-bubble about to burst?

Firms are starting to wake up to the lunacy of Net Zero.

Economist Herbert Stein once said that ‘if something cannot go on forever, it will stop’. Today, there is growing evidence that ‘Stein’s law’ is coming for the renewables industry, particularly for wind and solar power.

After investing billions of dollars into the green-energy transition, many of the major players in the energy sector are now shifting their priorities. The global energy shortages of 2022 seem to have woken much of the world up to just how impractical renewable energy can be.

U.S. tracked China spy balloon from launch on Hainan Island along unusual path

The large Chinese surveillance device that flew across Alaska and the continental United States may have been diverted on an errant path caused by unusual weather conditions

By the time a Chinese spy balloon crossed into American airspace late last month, U.S. military and intelligence agencies had been tracking it for nearly a week, watching as it lifted off from its home base near China’s south coast, an earlier sighting of the balloon than has been previously known.

As for the rest of them… OOPS!

White House Says Mystery Objects Likely Private Craft Not Tied to Spying

“The intelligence community’s considering as a leading explanation that these could just be balloons tied to some commercial or benign purpose,” John Kirby, a spokesperson for the White House’s National Security Council, told multiple news outlets on Tuesday. Kirby further asserted that unidentified objects that were downed in Alaska, the Yukon, and over Lake Huron were not tied to spying efforts, unlike the high-altitude balloon that was shot down earlier this month over the Atlantic Ocean.

What if the Balloon people came in peace? With a cure for cancer?

The truth slips out about Justin Trudeau’s euthanasia regime

It’s based on a false distinction that the Canadian government can’t even keep straight

Two cheers for a brief hiatus in the Canadian stampede towards suicide for all. Earlier this month, David Lametti, Justin Trudeau’s justice minister, announced that legalization of euthanasia for the mentally ill will be delayed by one year. This, he said, will give the health system and regulatory bodies more time to prepare. Mentally ill adults will now become eligible for euthanasia in March 2024.
