Germany: Police, coal protesters face off in Lützerath

German police warned they would not allow their officers to be targeted with violence amid growing tensions with climate protesters in the condemned village of Lützerath on Monday.

The village is set to be swallowed up by the local coal mine, run by Germany’s energy giant RWE. But organizations such as the Last Generation and Fridays for Future oppose the plan. Hundreds of protesters are now squatting in the area, with scuffles with police breaking out over the weekend. Police were reportedly pelted with stones, attacked with paint, and police vehicles were damaged.

From the Twitter Files: Pfizer board member Scott Gottlieb secretly pressed Twitter to hide posts challenging his company’s massively profitable Covid jabs

On August 27, 2021, Dr. Scott Gottlieb – a Pfizer director with over 550,000 Twitter followers – saw a tweet he didn’t like, a tweet that might hurt sales of Pfizer’s mRNA vaccines.

The tweet explained correctly that natural immunity after Covid infection was superior to vaccine protection. It called on the White House to “follow the science” and exempt people with natural immunity from upcoming vaccine mandates.

It came not from an “anti-vaxxer” like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but from Dr. Brett Giroir, a physician who had briefly followed Gottlieb as the head of the Food & Drug Administration. Further, the tweet actually encouraged people who did not have natural immunity to “Get vaccinated!”

The Center for Strategic and International Studies [CSIS] conducted one of the most complex war games yet, called “The First Battle of the Next War”.

The emails emerged Jan. 6 in the discovery phase of Missouri v. Biden, a free-speech case brought by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana and four private plaintiffs represented by the New Civil Liberties Alliance.

Children can’t be trusted to choose an identity

I submit: the traditional concept of “building character” is out the window.

Once upon a time, a fully realised person was something one became. Entailing education, observation, experimentation, and sometimes humiliation, “coming of age” was hard work. When the project succeeded, we developed a gradually richer understanding of what it means to be human and what constitutes a fruitful life. This ongoing project was halted only by death. Maturity was the result of accumulated experience (some of it dire) and much trial and error (both comical and tragic), helping explain why wisdom, as opposed to intelligence, was mostly the preserve of the old. We admired the “self-made man”, because character was a creation — one constructed often at great cost. Many a “character-building” adventure, such as joining the Army, was a trial by fire.

France: Horses with giant cysts from pharmaceutical testing turned into meat for humans

Horses with giant cysts from repeated pharmaceutical injections were illegally butchered and turned into meat for humans by a criminal gang in southern France, a court has heard.

Some 25 people, including wholesalers, vets, dealers and butchers, stood trial in Marseille on Monday over the alleged scam that saw fake documentation given to horses previously used to produce serums by French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Pasteur at a laboratory farm in southern France.

They had reportedly received jabs against rabies, tetanus and venoms.

Trudeau gov’t boasts COVID economy killing lockdowns helped Canada hit ‘climate change’ targets

The Canadian ministry responsible for the environment recently boasted that “real progress” was made in hitting its “climate” targets thanks to the COVID lockdowns harshly imposed on Canadians for well over a year by various levels of government.  

Per Blacklock’s Reporter, Canada’s Department of Environment earlier this week claimed that a recent report showed 2020 emissions went down nine percent because of COVID lockdowns.

Kelly McParland: Morneau confirms image-obsessed Trudeau’s management is ‘sorely lacking’

I have no intimate understanding of the mental processes of our prime minister, but if I was getting the sort of feedback on my job performance that he’s been getting, I’d certainly take a moment for honest reflection.

According to a recent survey by the Nanos organization, more than half of Canadians want Justin Trudeau to step aside and let someone else lead the Liberal party into the next election, whenever that might be. Almost as many think the country is headed in the wrong direction.
