Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is warning of a “slippery slope” regarding Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) laws, saying it should not be provided to people who have mental illness as their sole condition — his comments coming after people reached out to the Mississauga Food Bank seeking MAID.

“Conservatives believe that we should provide mental health care to people to improve their quality of life, help heal the psychological wounds that are afflicting them rather than giving up,” Poilievre said during a press conference Friday.

Federal Judge Rules New York Church Gun Ban Unconstitutional Yet Again

A federal judge has once more found the state’s ban on carrying a gun in church, even by those with permits, violates New Yorkers’ rights.

Judge John Sinatra of the Western District of New York, a Trump appointee, again found the state’s ban unconstitutional on Thursday. The judge sided with the pastor of a church in his challenge against the state’s Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA) in Spencer v. Nigrelli. He ruled the ban violated worshipers’ gun rights and infringed on the free exercise of their religious beliefs.

It seems inconceivable pedophilia could be normalized, but show Admiral Rachel Levine to anyone in 1992 or even 2002 and gauge their reaction. For that matter even our 2012 selves would think it was an SNL skit.

With the Twitter files revelations, we learned that the FBI had a “master-canine” relationship with the tech barons of Twitter to censor conservative accounts. When the FBI said ‘fetch,’ Twitter came running.

Well, now we see something probably even more embarrassing from the New York Times and we don’t need secret Twitter files to know about it.

Moorish Americans facing gun charges create disarray in Md. courtroom

LA PLATA, Md. — At 8 a.m. Friday, nine sheriff’s deputies were bunched behind the security desk at the entrance to the Charles County Circuit Court.

Two Moorish Americans — who claim to be sovereign citizens of a fictitious North African empire — were scheduled to make their first appearance in front of Judge Monise Brown for several gun-related charges.

Lamont Butler and George Neal-Bey were arrested after a confrontation with Charles County sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop last month. Both men were armed at the time. Butler was also charged with resisting arrest.

The New Nazis are on the march

LIKE most Jewish children, I had extensive Holocaust education, making it easy for me to spot parallels with the New Nazis foisting medical and climate change fascism on to us. I also experienced at first hand the fascism of apartheid policy in South Africa.

Before March 2020, we were encouraged to make comparisons with history’s monsters such as Adolf Hitler and his Nazis. But today’s New Nazis, a depraved mix of the United Nations (UN), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), World Economic Forum (WEF), Chinese Communist Party (CCP), public health officials, pharmaceutical companies, social media giants, mainstream media and politicians, have cleverly sidestepped such comparisons by claiming both the moral high ground and control over world health. Consequently, all that has been abnormal these past two and a half years is normalised, the ultimate end game appearing to be UN Agenda 2030.

In the midst of the current global energy crisis, it can be helpful to look at how past societies dealt with similar problems. It is almost forgotten today but, as the author Vaclav Smil has pointed out in his most recent book, the industrialised world at the end of the 19th century was on the brink of serious food shortages, as the combined populations of Europe and North America grew from 300 million to 500 million between 1850 and 1900. Farmland became short in supply, so the only way to avoid a Malthusian nightmare of mass starvation was to find ways to increase agricultural output per acre.

Twitter in data-protection probe after ‘400 million’ user details up for sale

A watchdog is to investigate Twitter after a hacker claimed to have private details linked to more than 400 million accounts.

The hacker, “Ryushi”, is demanding $200,000 (£166,000) to hand over the data – reported to include that of some celebrities – and delete it.

… The data is said to include phone numbers and emails, including those belonging to celebrities and politicians, but the purported size of the haul is not confirmed. Only a small “sample” has so far been made public.

The Guardian reported that data of US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was included in the sample of data published by the hacker. The data of broadcaster Piers Morgan, who recently had his Twitter account hacked, is also reported to be included.

The year Hollywood truly lost the plot

2022’s slate of right-on films were adored by critics and hated by the public.

Hollywood has long tended to promote a largely ‘liberal-left’ worldview. But its recent embrace of wokeness is on another level entirely. Today, it’s as if most major studios are more interested in promoting ‘diversity’, #MeToo or BLM-style posturing than they are in getting bums on to cinema seats. This year, it became all too clear that audiences are no longer buying the woke fare that Hollywood is serving.

Cops are STILL searching for murder weapon used by Idaho murder suspect as he’s charged with four counts of murder

Idaho police say they’re still searching for the murder weapon used to slaughter four students as they arrested and charged a 28 year-old with the killings.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary – which he committed ‘with the intention to kill’ the University of Idaho students.

Moscow Chief of Police James Fry added that Kohberger was taken into custody by a SWAT team at a property in Albrighton, Pennsylvania at 3am on Friday morning.

Trump’s Tax Returns Are a Dud

As expected, the House Ways and Means Committee Democrats used their final days in the majority to release six years of tax returns connected to former president Donald Trump. This is an unprecedented action, one that was condemned by committee Republicans, and rightly so –this is banana-republic stuff. Committee chairman Richard Neal (D., Mass.) sounded a note of reluctance in his statement, putting most of the blame on the IRS for not auditing Trump enough while he was president. Leaking a tax return is a felony; regardless of the procedural hoops Democrats jumped through to get these returns out there, they’re now as public as they would have been if they’d been leaked, and the committee effectively forcing the leak creates a very bad precedent (can we see Hunter Biden’s tax returns next?).
