Israel will not cooperate with FBI inquiry into killing of Palestinian American journalist

Israel has said it will not cooperate with an FBI investigation into the killing of the Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by the Israeli army.

Israel’s defence minister, Benny Gantz, denounced the inquiry as “interference in Israel’s internal affairs” and said he “made it clear to the American representatives that we stand behind the IDF [Israel defence forces] soldiers, that we will not cooperate with any external investigation”.

“The decision of the US Department of Justice to investigate the unfortunate death of Shireen Abu Akleh is a grave mistake. The IDF conducted an independent and professional investigation, which was presented to the Americans who shared the details,” Gantz said.

Not sure I’d trust the FBI.

Top RCMP officials doubted the Ottawa police convoy protest plans, Emergencies Act inquiry hears

The RCMP quickly became concerned that the Ottawa police did not have a plan to end the convoy protest that occupied the capital last winter, the top Mountie told the Emergencies Act inquiry.

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki and Deputy Commissioner Michael Duheme, who is responsible for federal policing, testified Tuesday before the Public Order Emergency Commission.

The pair also sat for an interview with commission lawyers in September. A summary of that conversation was entered into evidence Tuesday.

If you cannot make a model to predict the outcome of the next draw from a lottery ball machine, you are unable to make a model to predict the future of the climate, suggests former computer modeller Greg Chapman, in a recent essay in Quadrant. Chapman holds a PhD in physics and notes that the climate system is chaotic, which means “any model will be a poor predictor of the future”. A lottery ball machine, he observes, “is a comparatively much simpler and smaller interacting system”.

4 slain University of Idaho students were slaughtered with knife in ‘targeted’ attack: cops

The four University of Idaho students who were found dead at an off-campus home Sunday were butchered with a knife in what police are now investigating as “targeted” murders, officials said.

The Moscow Police Department said Tuesday all four deaths have been ruled homicides, meaning that detectives believe that none of the victims was responsible for the killings.

Robbery? Crime of passion? No one will say.

It would be “unprecedented and unprincipled” to help Canadian ISIS suspects detained in Syria, the federal government has argued in a court filing.

Responding to a lawsuit by the families of Canadians captured during the fight against ISIS, the government detailed its legal position for the first time.

The families want the Federal Court to order Ottawa to bring the detainees back to Canada from prisons and camps run by U.S.-backed Kurdish fighters.

I like it but simply can’t trust the Trudeau government.

I have zero empathy for the monsters who joined ISIS. They all knew they were signing up for a murder cult.

At least two dead after Russian missiles land in NATO state Poland on Ukraine border

Two people have been killed in Poland after two stray rockets landed near the border with Ukraine.

It has not yet been confirmed if the rockets landed in the NATO state as a result of Russia’s mass bombardment of Ukrainian cities earlier today, which saw over 100 rockets launched.

Article 5 is trending on twitter – I do not think NATO will consider this reason to formally strike back against Russia. Most NATO states are already equipping Ukraine to some extent already. Now bear in mind that my Crystal ball predicted that Putin would not invade Ukraine as his posturing seemed to be accomplishing much of what he desired. So you best keep some iodine pills handy.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau deleted a tweet containing false information on mass death sentences in Iran, after a viral campaign on social media circulated the fake news.

Celebrities and users shared a picture on Instagram showing a woman holding an Iranian flag with the caption “Iran sentences 15,000 protesters to death — as a ‘hard lesson’ for all rebels.”

Instagram has since tagged the post as “False Information” and said “Independent fact-checkers say this information has no basis in fact.”

Everything Trudeau tweets, says, writes, thinks is a lie.

RCMP lays historic first charge of economic espionage against ChiCom spy at Hydro-Québec

Any strong words Trudeau may mouth about China are to be taken with a very large grain of salt.

RCMP have laid the first economic-espionage charge in Canadian history against a researcher in Quebec who is accused of obtaining trade secrets for the benefit of China.

Yuesheng Wang, 35, faces four criminal charges involving an alleged conspiracy to spy on his employer. He has spent six years working for Hydro-Québec, which said in a statement that he was doing research into battery materials for the utility’s Centre of Excellence in Transportation Electrification and Energy Storage.

I’m sure Justin will allow him to move back to China like he did for the Winnipeg Germ Lab spy’s.
