In his role as President Joe Biden’s climate czar, John Kerry has flown more than 180,000 miles—flights that emitted more than 9.5 million pounds of carbon, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found.
The Free Beacon reviewed 75 of Kerry’s official travel announcements from March 2021 to July 2022, which show Kerry has flown roughly 180,100 miles—the equivalent of traveling around the world more than seven times—to discuss climate change with various world leaders. Planes on average produce 53.3 pounds of carbon dioxide per mile traveled, according to carbon emissions modeling website BlueSkyModel, meaning Kerry’s flights have produced 9.54 million pounds, or 4,772 tons, of carbon—roughly 300 times the average American’s carbon footprint

One lesson from America’s two-decade Afghanistan debacle is that you can’t achieve success if you can’t define it. A political goal is seldom attained if every description of it sounds vague or arbitrary; it cannot be realized by any known policy mechanism; and it draws strong opposition from foes while earning only tepid support from putative constituents. Housing integration is no exception. As a senator, Walter Mondale was a leading congressional sponsor of the Fair Housing Act. After its 1968 enactment, he said that the law’s purpose was to replace ghettos by means of “truly integrated and balanced living patterns.” Fifty-four years later, it remains unclear how to parse or implement that objective.

Supporters and critics both rewrite history
… This revelation about Begum is not actually all that revelatory: The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation ran a story on it in March 2015. But it didn’t attract much interest at the time. Kerbaj, the BBC and Begum’s legal team and her apologists want to change that, refocusing the story on how Begum was trafficked and how the West had a hand in it.
Good read. She was no “trafficked innocent.”

A severed ear. An order to “destroy everything you see.” Houses looted or pulverized by Russian tanks and armored personnel carriers.
Twenty-one-year-old Russian soldier Stanislav Shmatov had no idea the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was recording his conversations when he contacted family back in Russia this spring from northeastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
Like other Russian military personnel in Ukraine in the first months after the February 24 invasion, he spoke freely.

If and when the Biden administration signs a new nuclear deal with Iran, the mullahs’ Lebanese terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, will undoubtedly benefit from the billions of dollars that the Iranian regime is expected to receive once the sanctions on their country are lifted. Hezbollah will use the money to obtain more weapons, tighten its grip on Lebanon and prepare for more war with Israel. It will also use the money to undermine the security and stability of America’s allies in the Arab world.
Nigerian officials have intercepted 7,000 donkey penises at an international airport after the smell from the packages aroused suspicion.
The donkey penises were being smuggled to Hong Kong in 16 sacks but customs officers at Murtala Muhammed airport in the Nigerian city of Lagos intercepted the packages.
Sambo Dangaladima, the customs controller at the airport, told the BBC that the animal parts were found in sacks in the animal export section.

A majority of Canadians and Americans say they find China to be the greatest health threat to their countries, while agreeing that Chinese goods should be a top priority for inspection, a Nanos Research poll shows.
This synchronized view of the threats posed by China was published in the latest release of an 18-year tracking survey, co-conducted by the Canada-based Nanos and the University at Buffalo in New York. This latest survey is the seventh wave conducted since Justin Trudeau became the prime minister of Canada and the second wave with Joe Biden as president of the United States.

More than a third of Canadians who don’t have a family doctor say they have been searching for one for more than a year, all while their health is declining compared to those with easy family doctor access, new research shows.
In the second report to come from an Angus Reid series focusing on Canada’s health-care access crisis, researchers laid out how many Canadians simply can’t find a family doctor.
Crisis upon crisis. Wheels within wheels. Better double the mass immigration number.

News that doctors for Queen Elizabeth II “are concerned” for her health and she is “under medical supervision” at her estate in Balmoral, Scotland, has not been met with universal sympathy on blue tick Twitter, with an American university professor the owner of the most vicious hot take on her ailing health.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) will review its education materials provided in bias training for K-12 education after evidence of Critical Race Theory and other radical left-wing ideologies, such as “intersectionality,” was found.
There are no “accidents.”

Canadians are asking — given Myles Sanderson’s history of violence and 59 criminal convictions as an adult — how the man police accuse of fatally stabbing 10 people and injuring 18 more, along with his now-deceased brother, could have been released from prison by the Parole Board of Canada.

Last week, it was widely reported in the Canadian media that dozens of Chinese-Canadian organizations had come together to condemn an upcoming parliamentary trade mission to Taiwan. However, what was missed at the time was that the organizations in question were actually members of China’s “United Front” network, which is tasked with influencing foreign societies to Beijing’s benefit.
Careful, you’ll anger Canada’s 5th Columnist China class. Right Justin?

In 2011, the German Baltic Sea Nature Conservation Foundation (Naturschutzstiftung Deutsche Ostsee) was created as a result of an agreement between Nord-Stream, the three main environmental organisations in Germany — WWF, BUND (“Friends of the Earth”), NABU — and the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This foundation was immediately provided with a lucrative budget of ten million euros by Nord Stream.

Vladimir Putin’s ‘energy blackmail’ over Europe could lead to ‘civil unrest’ this winter, the NATO Secretary General has warned.
Jens Stoltenberg acknowledged that winter ‘will be hard’ as ‘families and businesses feel the crunch of soaring energy prices and costs of living’ in the coming months.
Writing in the Financial Times, the boss of the Western security alliance said that it is worth paying the price to support Ukraine.
OH my yes. Poor people should make sure the NATO chief is well fed, warm and cozy.
