Canadian Jewish org slams St. John’s Israel ‘apartheid’ bus ads

New anti-Israel bus ads in St. John’s, Newfoundland were denounced by the head of a Canadian Jewish advocacy organization this week.

The ads, one of which was pictured on the back of a St. John’s bus, feature the phrase “The State of Israel practices apartheid.” They were sponsored by Solidarity With Palestine St. John’s and contain a list of NGOs that have alleged Israel is an “apartheid state,” including Human Rights Watch, B’Tselem, Yesh Din, Amnesty International and Independent Jewish Voices.

The push to label Israel an apartheid state is in full swing. You have to wonder who will seize upon such a label should it become “official.”

As vaccine toll rises, Twitter doubles down… but the edifice is starting to crumble

THE toll of Covid vaccine-related deaths in the UK continues to rise, according to latest figures from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

In the 14 days following the MHRA’s previous summary report for June 29, 2022 – analysed here – there were eight more deaths, bringing total vaccine fatalities to 2,213.

Disney Won‘t Say Gay in Middle East: Censors LGBTQ Content in Gulf Countries While Fighting Florida Law

The Walt Disney Co. won’t say gay in the Middle East.

After picking a political fight with Florida over the state’s Parental Rights in Education Law, and declaring itself an LGBTQ ally to boot, Disney is reportedly censoring gay and transgender content on the version of the Disney+ streaming service that it launched in the region in June.

VP Joe Biden met with two Chinese energy execs in the West Wing – the FIFTEENTH meeting with businessmen tied to his son’s company

Two Chinese businessmen with ties to Hunter Biden’s company met with Joe Biden at the White House and followed up with the VP’s son days later with a fawning email and invitation, records reveal.

The meeting is the fifteenth to be uncovered between Joe and businessmen linked to Hunter.

Executives for Chinese energy company Wanxiang secured a meeting with the vice president in the West Wing in July 2014 with just one day’s notice, according to White House visitor logs.

Showdown looms in Mykolaiv as Putin scrambles to save face

President Putin is desperately redeploying thousands of Russian troops to southern Ukraine to stave off a humiliating defeat, moving troops from the Donbas to bolster a force that has been split precariously across two banks of the wide Dnipro river.

The reinforcements bring the total Russian force in the area to more than 25,000 troops, a Ukrainian reconnaissance and intelligence team told The Times, adding that nine Russian battle groups, each between 500 and 800 men, had been moved there from Donbas and Crimea.

Hundreds of artefacts from submarine U534 have been unearthed, offering clues into the Germans’ activities in the Second World War

Historians in Birkenhead are hoping to uncover the mystery of why the U-boat U534 disobeyed orders to flee Germany in the dying days of the Second World War after unsealing hundreds of objects from the boat for the first time in 80 years.

They have opened dozens of boxes of artefacts found aboard the submarine, which is believed to have been scuttled by its crew after coming under attack from British aircraft off the coast of Denmark.

There are various theories as to what U534 was doing, including that it may have been carrying top-secret torpedo technology to Japan or even the US as part of a defection plan.

The Growing Threat from North Korea

North Korea, despite a UN Security Council ban on its ballistic missile tests, continued to develop its nuclear and missile programs in 2021, according to a new UN report. In January 2022 alone, North Korea launched a record 11 missiles, including two hypersonic missiles and the first firing since 2017 of a Hwasong-12 mobile intermediate-range ballistic missile which is within reach of US territory with its estimated range of 4,500 kilometers. In 2017, North Korea tested the Hwasong-15, which has an estimated range of 8,500-13,000 kilometers.

Both US and South Korean officials expressed concern that the Hwasong-12 test indicated that North Korea would resume testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and nuclear weapons.

Ontario bureaucrats fired after alleged $11M COVID-19 fraud have spent $1.1M on legal defence, and now want more

The ex-bureaucrats charged in the alleged theft of $11 million in Ontario COVID-19 relief funds have spent more than $1.1 million on their legal defence — and now seek an additional $1.4 million.
That’s according to documents filed Tuesday with the Ontario Superior Court by Crown prosecutors who want to limit Sanjay and Shalini Madan from gaining further access to their assets.

The Madans, a married Toronto couple, were fired from their computer specialist jobs at Queen’s Park in 2020 after an alleged fraud of pandemic aid.

First bus of migrants from Texas arrives in New York City: Gov. Greg Abbott says border crossers can now receive ‘services and housing’ Mayor Eric Adams has ‘boasted about’

The first bus of migrants sent from Texas by Governor Greg Abbott arrived in New York City on Friday morning.

The group was dropped off at Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan after making the almost 2,000-mile trip from the border in footage captured by Fox News.

A group of charity workers and volunteers greeted the roughly 50 migrants, who were mostly men, before they ventured into the city.
