I was a nurse working on a team that recklessly prescribed puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to kids. I blew the whistle in 2005. Now the government is finally listening.

I joined the Tavistock Clinic in North London as a clinical nurse therapist in 2003. Back then, Tavistock was prestigious—known all over the world for its professional seminars and specialized psychological treatments for mental-health patients. Before I ever worked there, I would attend lectures and training workshops to hear from renowned psychoanalysts, who were considered some of the best in the field.

A lot can change in a decade.

New York City’s Growing Behavior Gap

The removal of swift consequences for criminal behavior has led to an explosion of violence for even trivial slights.

On Monday, a 23-year-old in Brooklyn was shot, perhaps fatally, over cold French fries.

It began when Lisa Fulmore called her 20-year-old son, Michael Morgan—who has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon—to fume that McDonald’s workers were being disrespectful toward her over her complaints about cold fries. “I was on the phone with my son. I was like, ‘They in this McDonald’s playing with me,’” she said. Morgan then arrived and, after an argument with a McDonald’s employee, allegedly shot him in the neck and ran off. (Morgan’s girlfriend has also been charged for some as-yet-unrevealed involvement.) Did his mother disapprove of his actions? “My son is just saying that he gotta do what he gotta do and the [victim] came after him and whatever happened, happened.”

The alleged wannabe Kavanaugh assassin wasn’t just an ordinary guy

When Nicholas Roske learned that Roe v. Wade might be overturned, he grabbed a kidnapping and murder kit and headed over to Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house, hoping to make Kavanaugh the first in a trio of Supreme Court justice killings. Thankfully, even though federal and state law enforcement did almost nothing (despite laws on the books) to protect justices from protests at their house (a perfect cover for Roske), Roske was caught in time. Now we’re learning that Roske isn’t just another crazy leftist: He’s a crazy leftist who also thinks he’s a woman.

The dependence on renewable energy is a major problem

As the lights start going off around Europe this summer, there is every chance the same could happen here. Last month parts of London came very close to a blackout. As temperatures soared, electricity demand surged, and the National Grid experienced bottlenecks. The blackout was only avoided by paying a record-breaking £9,724.54 per megawatt hour to persuade Belgium to send more energy via interconnectors. This was 5,000% higher than the typical price paid. While the causes of this particular incident were idiosyncratic, it raises issues that could prove important this coming winter as Europe faces down an energy crisis.

Britain’s reliance on interconnectors — that is, high-voltage cables that connect our energy grid to those of other countries — is the result of the move away from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels, whatever their faults, are extremely reliable.

Cannabis products with exceptionally high concentrations of THC have been associated with increased instances of depression, anxiety, and dependence.

Marijuana is the third-most commonly used drug globally, after alcohol and nicotine. Its potency, measured by the concentration of THC, has steadily increased over the past few decades, raising the risk of users experiencing psychosis and addiction, according to an analysis published in the Lancet last week that was conducted by a team of mental health experts at the University of Bath’s Department of Psychology in the United Kingdom. The psychologists analyzed the association between the types of marijuana people use and addiction and mental health issues, drawing on 20 studies involving nearly 120,000 people.

Dutch Farmers Block Paper Factory to Protest Green Double Standards

A group of Dutch farmers blocked the entrance to a paper factory in the Eastern Netherlands on Wednesday with their tractors to protest the double standards of the government’s green agenda.

Tractors descended on the town of Renkum in the Gelderland province on Wednesday, surrounding and blockading the Parenco paper mill, which has not been subjected to the same nitrogen emissions requirements that the globalist administration of PM Mark Rutte is demanding of farmers throughout the country.

Oberlin College, Facing $36 Million Penalty for Defamatory Woke Activism, Dives Deeper Into Wokism

It failed to learn the lesson “Get woke, go broke.”

The historically liberal Oberlin College, located in Oberlin, Ohio, is still refusing to pay up for defaming Gibson’s Bakery as racist in 2016.

The college, which is financially underwater, has now asked the Ohio Supreme Court to halt the multi-million dollar judgment while it appeals the decision for the second time. Earlier this year, the Ninth Ohio District Court of Appeals upheld a jury’s finding that Oberlin committed libel, slander, and interference with business relationships against Gibson’s after it encouraged student protests over a bakery employee’s pursuit of a black student who had shoplifted.

After years of Russiagate conspiracy theories about how the Russians had somehow rigged the 2016 presidential election using Facebook ads, the Senate Intelligence report awkwardly revealed that the Russian operation had focused most of its attention on black nationalists.

The Senate report revealed that “most of the videos” put out by the Russian IRA troll factory on YouTube “pertained to police brutality and the activist efforts of the Black Lives Matter organization” and found that “no single group of Americans was targeted… more than African-Americans” around “race and related issues”.
