Arabs to Biden: Do Not Let Iran Play You for a Fool

On the eve of the resumption of the Iran nuclear talks in Vienna, Arabs have again warned the Biden administration against being duped by the mullahs of Tehran.

The Arabs, who share Israel’s concern over Iran’s accelerated efforts (and deceptive tactics) to achieve nuclear weapons, also warned the Biden administration against reaching a temporary deal that would give Iran more time to proceed with its disastrous and dangerous plans.

Rex Murphy: Toronto school board takes lunacy to a whole new level

I took down from the bookshelf last night my faded copy of Stephen Leacock’s fabulous Nonsense Novels. I was checking to see if our great humorist, in that fine survey of silliness and vacuity, had lent his quill to the operations of the Toronto District School Board. Alas, not. He was too early on the Earth to reap the harvest the TDSB could have offered him. Even so, were he alive today, even his grand radar for the ridiculous might have been overwhelmed by the density and volume of material, already at hand and in no need of comic exaggeration, for his satirical treatment.

Turley: Jussie Smollett Could Walk; Testimony Aimed at ‘Jury Nullification‘

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley wrote Wednesday that disgraced former Empire actor Jussie Smollett could walk out of court a free man, thanks to testimony aimed at persuading the jury to sympathize with him.

I can’t see a jury deliberately ignoring evidence and letting Jussie off. He isn’t “likeable” for any reason.

Pity that at most he faces 3 years in jail. I doubt he’ll do a third of that.

But other lawyers questioned his findings.

And assisted-suicide organisation Dignitas said it would be unlikely to meet “much acceptance”.

Nuclear submarine ‘spies’ invoke Trump defense

A Maryland woman charged in connection with selling US nuclear submarine secrets to a foreign power wanted to flee the country because she despised President Donald Trump, not because she feared arrest, her lawyers said.

Diana Toebbe and her husband Jonathan were arrested in October and face espionage charges. Prosecutors have argued against freeing them on bail, citing a text message from Diana saying the couple would be “welcomed and rewarded by a foreign [government].”

At a hearing on Wednesday, her lawyers presented additional messages to argue she was motivated by disdain for the Republican president, not fear of being caught.

George Soros has plowed $3M of ‘dark money’ into BLM activists pushing to defund the police

Liberal billionaire megadonor George Soros supplied $3million last year alone to a ‘dark-money’ group supporting left-wing organizations such as BLM that are dedicated to defunding the police, it has emerged.

The Foundation to Promote Open Society, which is one of two major grantmaking foundations funded by Soros’ network, Open Society Foundations, funneled a total of $3million in 2020 to the Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability (CRH), according to a search of the charity’s grant database.

Soros’ foundation bankrolls CRH through New Venture Fund, the largest of four funds managed by Arabella Advisors that pulled in a combined $1.6 billion in secret donations last year, tax forms show.

Alec Baldwin asks for sympathy for himself and Rust crew after shooting and insists ‘descriptions of dangerous workplace are false’

Alec Baldwin asked for sympathy for himself and his colleagues on the set of Rust in a lengthy open letter, after Halyna Hutchins’ death.

The actor discharged a gun on set and accidentally shot the cinematographer during a rehearsal, and also injured director Joel Souza.

He later spoke of the incident in an emotional sit-down interview on ABC, vowing he doesn’t feel ‘guilt’ for what happened.

Addressing Hutchins’ shooting on Instagram, the 30 Rock star insisted that the descriptions of the working conditions as ‘chaotic and dangerous’ are false.

This seems a convenient effort to exonerate the producers of which Alec was one no?

REPORT: Biden Admin Plans On Advising ̷U̷k̷r̷a̷i̷n̷e̷ Czechoslovakia To Hand Over ̷T̷e̷r̷r̷i̷t̷o̷r̷y̷ Sudetenland To Russia

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden said this week the U.S. would take a more direct role in diplomacy to address Vladimir Putin’s concerns over Ukraine and Europe, part of a broader effort to dissuade the Russian leader from a destabilizing invasion of Ukraine.

But any negotiations to peacefully resolve Europe’s tangled East-West rivalries will present minefields for the U.S. president.

Administration officials have suggested that the U.S. will press Ukraine to formally cede a measure of autonomy to eastern Ukrainian lands now controlled by Russia-backed separatists who rose up against Kyiv in 2014. An undefined “special status” for those areas was laid out in an ambiguous, European-brokered peace deal in 2015, but it has never taken hold.

Black Lives Matter backs Jussie Smollett in his trial for faking hate crime because they ‘can never believe the police’

A senior Black Lives Matter leader has strongly defended Jussie Smollett as he awaits the verdict in his trial on allegations of faking a hate crime, insisting that Smollett should be acquitted because ‘we can never believe police’.

Smollett, 39, is currently on trial in Chicago, accused of having orchestrated a fake attack on himself in January 2019, then lied to Chicago police about being the victim of an anti-gay, racist hate crime.

Jurors are expected to resume deliberations on Thursday, having deliberated for about two hours on Wednesday following a roughly one-week trial.
