GOLDSTEIN: Linking Israel to apartheid now ‘acceptable’ anti-Semitism

If former Green MP Jenica Atwin had tweeted the white supremacist slogan “the Jews will not replace us,” it’s a safe bet Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would not have welcomed her into the Liberal Party of Canada.

But because hers was the more politically acceptable tactic of describing Israel as an apartheid state, she was welcomed.

Israeli officials have warned that Ebrahim Raisi’s victory in the Iranian presidential elections gives them “no choice” but to attack Iran’s nuclear programme, Israel’s Channel 12 has reported, citing a senior government source. “[The attack] will require budgets and the reallocation of resources”, the source told the TV channel, adding that Israeli security officials believe Raisi will adopt hardline views on foreign and nuclear policy pushed by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

‘Two Americas’ may emerge as Delta variant spreads and vaccination rates drop

With Covid vaccination penetration in the US likely to fall short of Joe Biden’s 70% by Fourth of July target, pandemic analysts are warning that vaccine incentives are losing traction and that “two Americas” may emerge as the aggressive Delta variant becomes the dominant US strain.

Efforts to boost vaccination rates have come through a variety of incentives, from free hamburgers to free beer, college scholarships and even million-dollar lottery prizes. But of the efforts to entice people to get their shots have lost their initial impact, or failed to land effectively at all.

Ontario reports 318 new Covid cases … and keep that mask on

Ontario reports 318 new Covid cases … and keep that mask on

Ontario’s daily COVID-19 case count continues to hover between 300 and 400 new infections each day, with 318 new cases confirmed over the last 24 hours.

Today’s total is down slightly from the 355 cases reported on Saturday and the 345 infections logged on Friday.

Too soon to ease mask requirements in Ontario — even for vaxxed up

Ontario is not yet at the point where it can begin rolling back masking requirements even for the fully vaccinated, an infectious disease specialist says.

Several jurisdictions in the United States are allowing people who have been fully dosed with a COVID-19 vaccine to go without masks in some public and workplace settings.

BLM-BDS Bigotry Not New at UCLA

Anti-Semitism has long been the rage at the prestigious University of California campus.

“Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement, will deliver the 2021 Commencement address for the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs,” the prestigious UC campus announced back on March 30. According to UCLA dean Gary Segura, “Patrisse Cullors is at the heart — and the foundation — of a movement for human rights, social change and genuine equality under the law.” So Patrisse Cullors “is the ideal person to deliver a message of mission to our 2021 graduates.”

LinkedIn blocks profiles from view in China if sensitive topics mentioned

LinkedIn is blocking profiles from being viewed inside China if they mention politically sensitive topics such as the Tiananmen Square massacre, including benign references to academic study.

In recent weeks, the professional networking site has written to several China analysts, alerting them to “prohibited content” on their profile pages.

It told Swedish writer and photographer Jojje Olsson via email that a reference in his education section meant his profile, comments and posts would “not be made viewable in China”.

That high-level Chinese defector’s ’embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community’

We already knew that a man with a high-level position in the Chinese Communist Party had defected to America.  We also knew that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) refused to let the other intelligence agencies in on the secret because it was immediately apparent that our government is riddled with Chinese spies, agents, true believers, and people on the payroll.  Now, though, we know who the spy is and the broad outlines of the information he provided — and it’s a lot worse than you thought.

Denmark to Cap Non-Western Immigrants’ Share in Residential Areas at 30 Percent

The plan, which aims to root out ghettos and parallel societies, stipulates a plethora of tools, including so-called “strategic demolition”.

In yet another tightening of Denmark’s immigration policy, the share of residents with a non-Western background in certain areas will be limited.

The admitted goal of the Danish government is to fight what is being billed as ghettos and parallel societies.

In 2018, the first laws were drafted to prevent immigrants from cramming into certain residential areas. The law package went under the name “A Denmark without parallel societies – no ghettos by 2030” and sparked controversy and warnings of ethnic discrimination from the UN, as it envisaged stricter penalties for residents in these areas.

Jerry Seinfeld Exposes The Problems Of Contemporary Comedy

I hate standup. Always have. I’ve seen a lot of it. “You gotta hear this guy!” “You gotta see her show! Even you would absolutely love it!” You just gotta.

Bleh. Comedians making observations. Pointing out the absurdity of this or that. Coming at life from a slightly skewed angle. It’s so boring! It isn’t insightful. It isn’t even funny. Oh, I’m laughing my head off, sure. I’m surrounded by a bunch of hooting baboons. You have to laugh or they might notice and attack you.
