Biden Begins Immediate Catch-and-Release of Migrant Families Without Issuing Court Dates

A senior-level law enforcement source with U.S.Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Rio Grande Valley revealed the implementation of a plan to release migrant families soon after apprehension. The plan radically changes how illegal migrants have been processed in the past and orders Border Patrol agents to quickly release migrant families without notifying the immigration courts or issuing a Notice to Appear.

More than 600 Amazon workers in Brampton got COVID-19. Why were so few reported to the province?

More than 600 Amazon workers at one warehouse alone have contracted COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. But the online retail giant has registered fewer than five cases at the provincial workers’ compensation board, the Star has learned.

Last week, Peel Public Health ordered the company to close all shifts after concerns that cases within its Brampton Heritage Road facility were “increasing significantly,” even as community cases dropped.

But despite hundreds of workers testing positive, the company has registered almost no claims at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as of this past week.

Ontario employers are required to report COVID cases to the WSIB, which then decides if they are work-related. If the workplace contributed “significantly” to a worker contracting the virus, they would be eligible for financial support or health-care benefits.

Heartland Republicans Unite to Defend Meat Against Liberal Attack

meat and guns

The red meat wars have hit America.

Republican governors representing heartland states are uniting in support of the cattle industry in response to calls from Jared Polis, the Democratic governor of Colorado, to move his state away from eating meat. The herd of Republican governors of Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, and Montana has taken issue with Polis’s call for Saturday, March 20, to be observed as “MeatOut Day,” during which residents are asked to replace meat with a plant-based alternative.

Royal family consider diversity tsar under modernisation plans

The royal family are considering appointing a diversity tsar under new plans to modernise the monarchy.

The move comes after Buckingham Palace conducted a review of policies, procedures and programmes currently in place and found that not enough progress had been made, with an acknowledgement that “more needs to be done”.

This is silly. It will accelerate the end of the Royal family, no one respects woke royals.

FUREY: It’s not about ‘science’ — lobbying clearly works to change pandemic restrictions

FUREY: It’s not about ‘science’ — lobbying clearly works to change pandemic restrictions

A couple of weeks ago, Cardinal Thomas Collins — the influential Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto — called on the Ontario government to revise its capacity rules for places of worship.

“This makes no sense,” Cardinal Collins wrote, in reference to the rules governing Toronto and Peel Region that capped attendance at 10 persons regardless of the size of the facility. He pointed out how the 10-person limit applies to his own St. Michael’s Cathedral despite the fact the grand facility can hold 1,500 persons, and yet nearby liquor stores are much smaller but can welcome more than 10 customers.

Lockdowns are a limited means of defense. They can slow but not eliminate covid spread. That’s great if you need to shore up old age homes. Used as a bludgeon they do far more harm than good. The economic and mental health devastation will far outweigh any benefit.

O’Toole declares ‘the debate is over’ on climate change, but his party’s grassroots disagree

OTTAWA — Conservative Party leader Erin O’Toole has made it clear he wants to move past debates about the existence of climate change, but the party’s national policy convention this weekend has shown it’s not so simple with his party’s base.

On Friday night, O’Toole gave a keynote speech to the convention promising his party will put forward a serious environment plan. “We cannot ignore the reality of climate change,” O’Toole said. “The debate is over.”

An acknowledgement of climate change exists as formal CPC policy.

Climate change isn’t really the issue however, it’s just a flashpoint and the CPC braintrust has missed that as usual.

It’s the constant kowtowing by the CPC to the lib-left media agenda across a range of issues that people hate, the evident shift to the left by the party leadership is galling to many, hated even more than having “climate change” shoved down their throat.

O’Toole and the CPC are over, they can’t even talk to their base any longer.

Joe Biden’s dire opening chapter on the world stage

A pattern of contempt for America and its leaders seems to be taking hold

“…Yang, speaking through a translator, shot back: ‘You can’t blame this problem on somebody else.’ Blinken went on to say that now, under Joe Biden, the United States was ‘back’ (where did it go, Tony?) and was ‘reengaging’ with its allies on the world stage. Here’s where that short imperative I mentioned came in. The United States, said Yang, in one of the most dismissive diplomatic rejoinders I have ever heard, does not have the ‘qualifications’ to address China ‘from a position of strength’. F, my dear Blinken, you.”

A Setback for the Catholic Left – Its reaction to the Vatican’s ban on blessings for gay couples has been revealing.

Pope Francis has never been known to hold a strict view of documents from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). In 2016, a reporter asked him about a 2003 CDF document prohibiting recognition of gay civil unions. He replied, “I do not remember that document well.” In fact, as archbishop of Buenos Aires, he had disregarded the document’s directive and endorsed legislation in favor of gay civil unions.

Should Anything Be Off-Limits to Debate and Discuss?

Should Anything Be Off-Limits to Debate and Discuss?

Slate — the online magazine known for its provocative content—has indefinitely suspended one of its star podcasters, Mike Peska, for debating with a colleague, on an inter-office messaging platform, whether it is ever appropriate for a non-Black person to use the N-word in the context of a discussion about race. It is not clear whether in the course of the discussion Peska actually uttered the word itself or just used the term “n-word.”

In defending Slate’s decision, a Black staffer argued that “For Black employees, it’s an extremely small ask to not hear that particular slur and not have debate about whether it’s OK for white employees to use that particular slur.” Not have debate?

New York Times used ‘deceptive disinformation’ to smear Project Veritas, acted with ‘reckless disregard’ and ‘malice’, judge rules

A defamation suit from Project Veritas against the New York Times is moving forward, as a judge has ruled the newspaper posed opinion as fact in their coverage of the conservative news outlet.

A New York Supreme Court judge handed Veritas, known for its undercover and whistleblowing videos, a big “win” this week, allowing a defamation suit against the paper and two reporters to proceed forward.
