A man has been arrested after carrying out a suspected string of random assaults on ‘light-skinned’ women at a Brooklyn subway station.
Khari Covington, 29, was arrested and charged with a slew of hate crimes on Tuesday.
He is accused of attacking nine women on separate occasions in East Williamsburg since last August.
Seven of the alleged assaults occurred within the Morgan Avenue subway station.
A voice message threatening a 9/11-style attack on the US Capitol has prompted a federal probe after the audio was picked up on aviation radios, vowing to “avenge” the US assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
“We are flying a plane into the Capitol Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged,” the mysterious message said, first received by air traffic controllers based in New York earlier this week, according to CBS News. Premier Doug Ford is slamming the federal government’s decision to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to some inmates before inoculating all long-term care home residents, as part of a pilot program starting this week.
Ford made the remarks on Wednesday during his first COVID-19 press conference of the year at Pearson Airport.
“Let’s not give the most dangerous criminals in our country the vaccine before we give it to our long-term care patients, most vulnerable and other elderly people,” Ford said.

A woman who was shot on Capitol Hill during a violent outbreak has died.
The woman was shot by law enforcement and taken to a nearby hospital, multiple law enforcement sources told WRCB and NBC 4. It’s unclear where in the Capitol building she was shot or why.
The Capitol Hill complex went on lockdown Wednesday after planned “Stop the Steal” protests devolved into a violent breach of the congressional building — smashing windows, breaking into offices, looting rooms, and forcing an evacuation of Vice President Mike Pence and lawmakers as staff and reporters were told to shelter in place.
It has been more than a decade since Turkey and Israel, once strategic partners, broke up badly, with an angry Ankara passionately vowing to isolate Israel internationally.
