Yesterday a multi-hour Parliamentary committee was webcast by C-SPAN on China in essense. How to view it, whether or not it was a threat. A familiar face appeared in the people invited to testify, Richard Fadden, former head of Canada’s spy agency, CSIS. He made the news in 2010 when he went public with the threat that China and various middle eastern governments are to Canada through subversion and infiltration, specifically in terms of controlling Canadian elected reps who it appears they actually groomed since college.
To many in Brussels, the French statesman is already a saint. But now Pope Francis has decided to put Robert Schuman — the founding father of the European Union — on the path to sainthood. A decree has been issued by the Vatican recognizing his ‘historic virtues’, the first step in the formal process of canonization. Two miracles now have to be attributed to him in order for Schuman to achieve full sainthood — a task that might prove difficult given the EU’s track record.
Imagine a world where you can be jailed for attempting to protect your child from medical assault. A future where you can no longer object to your child being subjected to medicalized gay conversion ‘therapy.’ A country where the government can legally enforce a belief system and criminalize anyone who goes against that system of belief. No, I’m not talking about Iran… I’m talking about Canada.
The U.S. government continues to insist that white supremacy and the patriot movement are the biggest threats facing the nation. This is despite the growing violence from groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Documents such as Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment, portray anyone of a right-wing leaning who supports the second amendment, opposes illegal immigration, or questions government in any way, as potential extremists. Much of the current rhetoric revolves around the January six capital riots as the FBI is now warning Qanon supporters could transition from being “digital soldiers to taking action in the real world” (CNN.com), whatever that means. There is speculation that the FBI played a part in infiltrating and even directing the events (Shiver, 2021) of January six. While this will likely be brushed off as wild conspiracy theory, the FBI has a long, documented history of targeting and infiltrating patriot groups under the illusions they pose a national security threat.
According to the Global Times, a tabloid newspaper under the auspices of the Chinese Communist Party’s flagship People’s Daily newspaper that comments on international issues from a nationalistic perspective, the award is given to “individuals or research groups who have made or demonstrated significant achievements in the past five years.”
US Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-D) had some harsh words for the Trudeau government when he learned the Canada-US will remain closed for another month.
On Friday, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair announced the border closure for non-essential travel would be extended until at least July 21. The border has been closed since March 16, 2020.
Higgins, who represents the border cities of Buffalo and Niagara Falls, took to Twitter to say the decision is harmful and disrespectful to residents of both countries.
Erica Pan, the state’s epidemiologist, told reporters during a press conference Friday afternoon that proof of vaccination may already be required in some circumstances such as travel. Pan added that state health officials believe there will be a demand for the digital pass and it will provide an easier way for residents to prove their vaccination status.

Bill C-10: Control-freak Ottawa Confronts the Future. And the Future is Losing
Criticism of Bill C-10, the Liberals’ controversial update of federal broadcasting legislation, has so far focused on the threat it may pose to your right to post cat videos on YouTube. As troubling as that may sound, the truth is much, much worse. Former CRTC vice-chair Peter Menzies looks back at the bill’s three-year long gestation and finds a government regulator with an antique worldview determined to enforce its will on a future of infinite possibilities. There’s far more at stake here than your adorable kitten’s latest pratfall.
Canada: Non-Muslim women don hijabs to ‘combat Islamophobia’
The hijab symbolizes the subjugation of women in Islam. Women are required to wear the hijab according to Islamic law because it is their responsibility to remove temptation from men. If men are tempted anyway and they end up being sexually assaulted or raped, it’s their fault. Because the hijab is an important part of a woman’s responsibility under Sharia, many women have been brutalized and even killed for not wearing it.
Big cities move to refund police departments amid uptick in crime
Cities like New York City, Oakland and Los Angeles are refunding the police due to an increase in crime. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio recently reversed a decision to eliminate funding for a precinct in Southeast Queens after receiving backlash from the community.
Amazon dumps Frontline Doctors site for ‘misinformation about vaccines’
Amazon’s internet hosting service took down the website of the group of doctors known for promoting proven treatments for COVID-19 such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.
America’s Frontline Doctors was accused of “hosting misinformation about vaccines and was reported as objectionable content to AWS.”
LGBT Charity Calls on Teachers to Say ‘Learner’ Instead of ‘Boy’ and ‘Girl’
Stonewall, which has been supported financially by the nominally Conservative government in the UK, told schools that all “gendered” language should be removed from the classroom and that sports should no longer be divided by sex.
There are three types of “science” — good science, bad science, and political science. Perhaps some of the recent confusion and conflict occurs when rational, ethical, and honest people assume others use good science when, instead, dishonest and nefarious people often use bad science or political science.
Twitter and the Democrat-run government of California are facing a lawsuit alleging that they colluded to suppress the First Amendment rights of Rogan O’Handley, a popular pro-Trump activist who was banned from the platform earlier this year. The complaint includes emails showing California officials directing Twitter to remove political commentary about the 2020 election from its platform.

The independent inquiry into the Manchester Arena bombing of May 2017, in which 22 pop fans were killed by an Islamist extremist, has published the first volume of its report. It makes for chilling reading. The inquiry has found there were numerous ‘missed opportunities’ to confront Salman Abedi, the bomber, and potentially stop him from detonating the device in his rucksack. Most chilling of all is the reason given by one of the key security guards on patrol that evening as to why he failed to question Abedi. He was worried, he said, that asking a brown-skinned man why he was hanging around the arena might be construed as racist.
“Within Canada, Alberta’s economy will be smothered by anti-oil policies and general hostility to resource development. Outside of Canada, Alberta’s economy can flourish and supply much-needed energy to willing customers.”
