America’s Young Men Are Falling Even Further Behind

Men in their 20s and early 30s are much more likely than female peers to live with their parents, and many say they feel aimless and isolated

In Spanish, parents call it encaminado: making sure your children are on the path to an independent adulthood.

Out of Dan and Joana Moreno’s four grown kids, only their daughter is encaminada. She recently graduated from business school and got engaged. The Morenos’ three adult sons are still sleeping in their Miami childhood bedrooms. The younger two dropped out of college, and the oldest never went. All three are single. Their only work experience is with the family business.

“Something has gone amiss here,” says their father, Dan, who owns the repair chain Flamingo Appliance Service. “We love them, we love having them around, but that’s not how you build a life.”
The life trajectories of America’s sons and daughters are diverging.

Presented with a more-equal playing field, young women are seizing the opportunities in front of them, while young men are floundering. The phenomenon has developed over the past decade, but was supercharged by the pandemic, which derailed careers, schooling and isolated friends and families. The result has big implications for the economy.

It’s a mystery!

High-ranking Toronto cop who cheated in the name of equity received too light a penalty

In the cause of maintaining public order, we give police officers extraordinary powers. We authorize them to make arrests, carry firearms and use force when necessary. In exchange, we ask them to exercise those powers with restraint, probity and, above all, impartiality, treating everyone the same and doing no one special favours.

That is what makes the case of Stacy Clarke so troubling.

Black student numbers fall by two-thirds at MIT after end of racist affirmative action policy

The number of black students accepted to an elite US university plummeted by two-thirds after a Supreme Court ruling banned affirmative action.

Black students made up 5 per cent of this year’s Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a significant slump from the 15 per cent who enrolled in 2023.

Meanwhile, the proportion of Asian American students accepted at the university jumped from 40 to 47 per cent year on year.

‘Race-realist’ Cambridge fellow sues college over dismissal

An academic at the University of Cambridge is suing his college after being sacked for arguing that under a meritocracy, the number of black professors at Harvard would drop to almost zero.

Nathan Cofnas, a philosophy researcher at Emmanuel College, has brought a legal challenge against the college’s decision to cut ties with him after his views were deemed to be “a rejection of diversity, equality, and inclusion” (DEI) that was incompatible with the college’s “core values and mission”.

Plagiarism and Disparities

There is no reason to expect an even distribution of academic dishonesty.

Journalism, in part, is the work of turning up stones. Sometimes a reporter finds nothing underneath. Other times, he uncovers shock, scandal, or corruption.

An entire twentieth-century lore, beginning with The Jungle and culminating in the Watergate reporting, portrays the reporter as a man who stands against the corruption of institutions. But as the Left, which invented muckraking, has consolidated its power over those same institutions, the story has been recast.

Joy Reid – Cultural Appropriation of blonde wig

It’s truly always a Joy! MSNBC’s race-obsessed host Joy Reid had choice words for “white,” “privileged” Democrats who dared to challenge President Joe Biden’s disintegrating campaign for reelection. On Monday night’s episode of The ReidOut, she launched into a series of deranged rants against her favorite target and least favorite race, defending Vice President Kamala Harris from what she alleged was “the right’s new favorite slur.”

Bowman’s Folly: New York Dem Appears To Have Plagiarized From ‘CRT: An Introduction’ For Dissertation

Jamaal Bowman, the controversial New York congressman, often appeals to his work as a former school principal and his Ed.D. in education as the basis for his policy positions.

But, according to our analysis, Bowman’s primary academic work — his 2019 dissertation, “Community Schools: The Perceptions and Practices that Foster Broad-Based Collaboration among Leaders with the Community School Ecosystem” — is riddled with basic errors, failures of logic, and multiple instances of plagiarism.

Half of UCLA Medical School Graduates Can’t Pass Basic Competency Tests and No One Dares Question It

The Daily Caller’s Aaron Sibarium (‘A Failed Medical School’: How Racial Preferences, Supposedly Outlawed in California, Have Persisted at UCLA) does a deep dive into the changes at the elite University of California, Los Angeles’s David Geffen School of Medicine once a DEI jihadi was put in charge of the admissions process. What he discovers should scare the bejeezus out of you.

Jamie Sarkonak: No off-ramp to diversity quotas, federal research executive says

Canadian universities, at the direction of the federal Liberal government and the research granting agencies for which it’s responsible, have made race- and sex- based discrimination a matter of everyday business. And they don’t seem to have a plan to pare it back.

Take the president of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Ted Hewitt, who attended the House of Commons committee on science and research last Thursday for its study on post-secondary funding. Under his organization’s watch is the administration of the Canada Research Chairs Program, which is supposed to provide prestigious multi-year grants to highly competitive researchers across Canada. Only, it can hardly be called competitive, as the program is bound by strict diversity quotas.

MANDEL: No firing for ‘superstar’ senior officer who cheated because the black community would be angry

The irony is that if Supt. Stacy Clarke were anyone else employed by Toronto Police, her bosses would want her fired for a promotions cheating scandal she spearheaded to help Black officers vying for promotion.

But firing isn’t even on the table because the first female Black superintendent in Toronto Police history is a “superstar.”

Can’t be fired because that would make blacks angry? Toronto is fucked.
