In just the first two weeks without Donald Trump to attack, lie about, misrepresent or selectively edit quotes from, we are seeing the media search for someone to attack, even if it is their “Emmy winning” hero, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Liberal late night comedians, having lost Trump to whine about for the majority of their shows, are now attacking each other.
Never Trumpers have gone from being the liberal/media darlings to hammer conservatives with, by claiming they are true “conservatives” against Trump, to scandal ridden, with a notable group The Lincoln Project busy tripping over themselves to disassociate themselves with one of their co-founders accused of being a gay sexual predator.
The media and liberals are also tossing each other under the bus over Biden’s broken promise of immediate COVID relief checks.
If this is them after less than two solid weeks of not having Trump in the White House to obsess over, one can only imagine how bad it is truly going to get.

There is a free speech debate at Drake University over hateful and vulgar tweets from Associate English Professor Beth Younger, who called for Republicans “to suffer.” We have seen increasing vulgar attacks from academics, including such high-profile figures as Laurence Tribe in the last few years. Notably, Twitter did not suspend Younger’s account for calling for harm to all Republicans. I do not believe that she should be barred from social media or fired from Drake as a matter of free speech. Even with professors who have justified the murder of conservatives or killing police are protected in such hateful expressions. The solution to such hate speech is more (and better) speech. I would rather we denounce such speech than censor it.

The violent protest at the US Capitol on January 6 has long been over, but the upcoming Biden administration’s response to it is likely to do greater violence to the US Constitution and the rule of law than anything the worst of the protesters could have accomplished. Thanks to the response of the George W. Bush administration and Congress to the 9/11 attacks almost two decades ago, Joe Biden’s prosecutors will have plenty of legal ammunition to go after their political enemies. It won’t stop with prosecuting people who broke into the Capitol.

US Issues Terror Alert Over Anti-Government Extremists
The US Department of Homeland Security declared a nationwide terrorism alert Wednesday, citing the potential threat from domestic anti-government extremists opposed to Joe Biden as president.
“Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence,” the department said.
