British Columbia’s minister of public safety says the province is looking at “all possible options,” including so-called “bubble zones” and injunctions, after COVID-19 vaccine protesters targeted schools in the province’s interior.

After making his remarks, the Prime Minister faced a chorus of “boos” from protestors, many of whom decried the Liberal government’s attempts to get Canadians vaccinated. “You ruin families!” one man yelled.

By Oct. 24, officials said entry will require people to be fully vaccinated at least seven days after receiving both doses.
In the interim, in areas where community transmission is increased significantly or where there are outbreaks, the requirements to be fully vaccinated may be required at the direction of the local medical health officer.

B.C. information and privacy commissioner Michael McEvoy’s office confirmed the investigation today following a complaint from the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
