At a tense moment for Canada-U.S. relations, Trudeau travels to D.C. for trilateral talks

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will travel to Washington this week for the first Three Amigos summit in five years — a trilateral meeting with U.S. and Mexican leaders that has been dismissed in the past as high on symbolism and low on substance.

The one-day summit comes at a challenging time for the Canada-U.S. relationship.

The election of U.S. President Joe Biden was celebrated by many in Canada as the dawn of a new era in bilateral relations after the fractious four-year term of his predecessor, Donald Trump. During his campaign, Biden promised a return to “normalcy” and better relations with U.S. allies; the revival of the once-dormant Three Amigos gathering is a sign that the Trump-era froideur is over.

The average home price in Canada rose over 50 per cent last year

As reported by CBC , “The Canadian Real Estate Association says the average price of a home in this country has gone up more than 50 per cent in the last five years. Nationally, the average home price in September was up 13.9 per cent from the same month last year.” This is obviously a boon for those who already own a home in Canada, but it represents key opportunities for growth for those who are not yet involved with the property market – or those who are interested in further investment.

Canada letting another ISIS terrorist back in

Mother of Canadian girl freed from ISIS detention camp in Syria heading to Canada soon

The Canadian government has issued an emergency passport to the mother of a young girl who was freed from an ISIS detention camp in northeastern Syria earlier this year so she can return home to Canada and reunite with her daughter.

“It’s going to be the best moment of my life,” the woman told CBC News. “That moment is all I’ve been thinking about this whole time.”

CBC News is not naming the woman because of security reasons, and to protect her daughter.

The woman and her daughter were being held in a Syrian detention camp for people with alleged ties to ISIS

Canada’s Expensive Health-Care System Ranks Poorly Compared to Most Developed Countries: Study

Despite spending more on health care than most other high-income countries with universal coverage, Canada’s health system ranks poorly in comparison, having the longest wait times, with fewer doctors and hospital beds, and lagging behind on medical technologies, a new Fraser Institute study has found.

The study uses a “value for money” approach to compare the cost and performance of the universal health-care systems in 28 high-income countries, selected from the member states of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

First Nations in Ontario could receive billions in back-rent after court ruling

Canada could face compensation payments to Indigenous communities worth billions, after a court found it had willfully deprived First Nations of the immense wealth extracted from their lands.

The Crown has made payments to 23 First Nations of the Robinson-Huron Treaty territory since 1850, in exchange for a territory roughly the size of France.

In 1874, the payment was increased to C$4 per person per year. It has not changed since then.

Media Silent On Misappropriation Of Billions In Canadian Foreign Aid

In 2019, Canada’s budget for international assistance totalled $6.2 billion dollars. Each year, our ruling government extracts approximately $6 Billion dollars from Canadian tax-payers, and ships the funds to the World Bank, IMF, and African Development Bank.

To place this in proper context, it is not as though governments previous to Trudeau’s Liberals have not indulged in the practice. They certainly have. What has not been exposed by mainstream media is alleged misappropriation of these billions.

Trudeau Pushing Ahead With Dangerous Agenda Of Restricting Free Expression

Existing laws already give the government the ability to confront hate both online & offline. Power-hungry politicians like Trudeau ignore that reality, in order to ‘justify’ restricting your right to speak freely.

The CBC is a joke and Canadians are laughing at them

This week, the CBC apologized after blowing an election call for the mayoral race in Quebec City. The CBC’s bungled call led to the wrong candidate rushing to the podium to mistakenly deliver her victory speech. So much for being a “beacon for truth.”

The state broadcaster continues to publish awful opinion pieces – this week, they claim climate change is caused by racism and white supremacy. Is anybody really surprised by how far-left the CBC is these days?
