Professor smeared as racist for ‘dreaded Meghan’ comment won’t go down without a fight

A UK art professor whose livelihood was thrust into doubt after she lost her accreditation following innocent remarks about Meghan Markle is fighting back, taking legal action claiming a breach of contract by a national arts organization.

Dr. Anne Anderson who is an honorary professor at the esteemed Exeter University was thrust into a living hell after she made comments about the Duchess of Sussex prior to a Zoom lecture on IKEA furniture last year during small-talk about Markle and her emasculated husband Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, words that would be used to smear her as a racist and cut off a major source of her income.

The left hates Elon Musk because he’s a twin threat that doesn’t tolerate BS

Why does the left hate Elon Musk?

It’s simple, really: Because he can’t be controlled, and because he doesn’t tolerate BS.

The left can’t stand either. It insists on control, to the point of systematically eliminating or co-opting anything that might serve as an independent power center. (Their fear is justified: “Music clubs” turned out to be a major factor in Czechoslovakia’s 1989 anticommunist Velvet Revolution.) And it insists on not merely spreading BS, but on requiring people to repeat and endorse its BS as a sign of submission.

Poilievre faces faux backlash from usual suspects for comments on Jordan Peterson podcast says “media”

Some are calling attention to a comment Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre made while appearing as a guest on controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson’s podcast in an episode posted on Tuesday.

“I’m a believer in using simple Anglo-Saxon words that strike right at the the meaning that I’m trying to convey,” Poilievre said in the interview. “And so I say things that people say, ‘Yeah, that actually makes sense.’”

Some have pointed out that the term has been used by those on the far-right to differentiate white people from immigrants and people of colour.

OMG! He said Anglo-Saxon! The best thing he can do is laugh in response and never apologize.

Tucker Carlson Not Surrendering

I’m thrilled that Tucker Carlson isn’t doing the usual right-wing thing and crumpling in the face of bad-faith attacks from the media and Democrats. Watch this 15-minute monologue from him last night, throwing the “Great Replacement” smears back in their faces.

Early in the monologue, Carlson points out that last year, a Syrian immigrant shooter went into a Boulder, Colo., supermarket and allegedly (he has not yet been tried and found guilty) murdered ten people — same number of dead as in Buffalo. Unlike this week in Buffalo, Joe Biden didn’t fly to that crime scene, Tucker said. Why not? Because that mass shooting didn’t fit the Narrative. He was a Person of Color, not a white supremacist. Colorado Public Radio even did a story at the time about how worried Colorado Muslims were of “backlash” because the shooter was Muslim. The Washington Post ran an analysis that pointed out that the Syrian shooter was, in fact, legally white, and an example of “whiteness”. So the Narrative Managers were able to call this an example of white male violence after all!

Are Financial Institutions Using ESG Social Credit Scores to Coerce Individuals and Small Businesses?

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics are a kind of social credit system designed to coerce businesses—and, by extension, individuals and all of society—to transform their practices.

Through a carrot-and-stick approach, investors and banks (and soon governments) use ESG to push businesses to change how they function, regardless of what the employees and customers of those businesses want. In many cases, however, corporate executives are all too willing to go along, because they want access to the cheap capital offered by investors and financial institutions.

When Will They Cancel Karl Marx? Never, of course.

On the revealing double standards of the woke left.

Discrediting a thinker’s broad worldview or legacy by discovering some statement from the distant past revealing him or her to be a bigot by today’s standards is a depressing degeneration in our intellectual life. It speaks of a compulsion to moralize rather than to understand, to shut down rather than expand debate.

Picasso was morally monstrous; but his painting is transcendent. And if you cannot disentangle the two, you are attacking a key liberal principle: that ideas and works of art should be considered on their merits, and not on the virtue or vice of their proponents.

Why are the Left’s woke warriors so desperate to destroy Winston Churchill?

Because if the West’s greatest hero can be made to fall, they can force anything on us

Those unthinking critics of Western civilisation who claim that everything about it is reprehensible and nothing good has ever come out of it have developed a pattern with the extraordinary claims they make.

Their technique is to zoom in on Western behaviour, remove it from the context of the time, set aside any non-Western parallels and then exaggerate what the West actually did.

The result has been a stampede inside the West to rid itself of its own history.

Lara Logan Says She Was ‘Pushed Out’ at Fox Nation

Former CBS journalist Lara Logan said that she was forced out of Fox Nation after she made public comments about White House COVID-19 advisor Anthony Fauci last year.

“I was definitely pushed out,” Logan said in a recent interview with radio host Eric Metaxas regarding what had happened at the network, without elaborating. “I mean, there is no doubt about that. They don’t want independent thinkers. They don’t want people who follow the facts regardless of the politics.”

Canada’s new budget expands gov’t regulations on crowdfunding, review of cryptocurrency

The Liberal Canadian Finance Minister’s budget includes an investigation into cryptocurrency while also compelling crowdfunding sites to report “suspicious transactions.”

Mirroring some of the financial actions taken under the Emergencies Act, the budget that Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland announced yesterday said a “legislative review” into cryptocurrency will be launched on top of the implementation of stricter regulatory measures on crowdfunding sites and payment processors.

Now we know just how dehumanising the ‘Nazi’ slur can be

Both the Putin regime and woke Westerners are addicted to branding their opponents ‘Nazis’.

Woke Westerners had a field day when Vladimir Putin criticised the attempts to cancel JK Rowling. This was proof, they said, that Putin is anti-woke, and therefore that anti-woke people in Britain and the US are his bedfellows, whether they realise it or not. There was a grim irony to this smearing by association, to this nonsense claim that anyone who thinks it is wrong to hound, demonise and threaten the likes of Rowling for stating biological facts is basically in the same moral camp as Moscow’s warmonger-in-chief. Which is that if anyone in the West is borrowing from the Putin playbook, it isn’t the critics of wokeness – it’s the intolerant left itself.
